  1. You are trying mine. Congress should do its constitutional job and act as a check and balance on the Executive branch.
  2. That is the formal statement. I believe in his interview with the WSJ he indicated is was due to the Russia investigation. Again words matter. Brennan is no choir boy. He should have resigned or been fired when he was caught lying about the CIA before during the Obama administration.
  3. It's a hypothetical with no sense behind it. The first cut is after two preseason games to give teams time to make assessments. You might have well asked "Is the crayon purple?".
  4. Again I have looked at some of these articles about Deep State, etc, and they are all rantings of a given class of individuals who have a theory and try to manipulate facts to support their opinion. Muller's job is to figure out what went on with Russian interference in our election: II would certainly be supportive of him looking into any and all possibilities including this deep state stuff. Congress should have him before their committees to ask him relevant questions and to act as a check on excesses by the Executive Branch if required, and to act as a check on the CIA and other intelligence agencies if required.
  5. Your paranoid rantings about the deep state aside, the proper place to voice such objections is with Congress so they can carry out their constitutionally prescribed duty to be a check and balance against the Executive branch. The president himself said he did this because of the Russia investigation. So don't tell me it's entirely due to anything else but the president being paranoid about an investigation into the potential involvement of his campaign. What the president has yet to figure out is that people pay attention to what he says and then hold him accountable for such.
  6. No, you asked a dumb question. My answer is posted earlier, he has to show well this coming week to have a shot to stick around. Simple.
  7. Easy answer. The cuts aren't today precisely to give teams enough time to make evaluations.
  8. A security issue could be issued essentially immediately if a guy has had prior top level clearance. Certainly that could be written into law. I would prefer Brennan not be as vocal as he has been, but he is I think genuinely concerned about what is going on. Those concerns would be best expressed to members of Congress in my opinion, but he has a right to speaking as we all do. Do you not see what problems it might cause when a president deliberately takes security clearance away from people because he has a personal vendetta, or because he is upset about an investigation that involves his own administration? Imagine if Nixon had had that unfettered power during Watergate. He tried to use it on the Saturday night massacre, and luckily the legislative and judicial branches did their jobs.
  9. Easiest solution to this is to pass a law stating that all security clearances from previous administrations are terminated upon inauguration day. If you need guys brought back in your grant them temporary clearance as needed. Simple. That way you don't have a president going off the deep end potentially just because his feelings are hurt.
  10. He ain't that good is the message you send. Put Kelvin up against hi, throw it high. get the TD, and pretend like it's no big deal. Pretending it's no big deal has far greater impact then the "celebrations" done these days.
  11. I know I'm one of the old farts around here, but the best thing do would be to catch a TD on him, hand the ball off to the ref, and act like it's just another TD against a guy that ain't that good.
  12. The typical overreaction on both sides of the equation; unfortunately the norm for Bills fans on this site. Is he poised for a huge game? Uh, no. And I say this as one who saw him making the roster just a couple weeks ago. He needs to have a solid game where he shows he won't stop running routes, and where he catches what gets thrown to him. And he needs to outshine the multitude of other receivers on the roster if he has any chance at making the roster or, more likely, the practice squad. Is he trash, as was suggested above? Uh, no. He has speed, he gets open, but needs to do the above to earn a spot. Why everything around here has to be all or nothing, black and white, when in reality the answer is a shade of grey, is completely baffling.
  13. Only one way to shut a guy like him up. Kick his tail in November
  14. Put your RBs in that are competing for a job and run the single wing.
  15. I think it will be AJ, but if Peterman plays the next two games like he did this past week he'll earn it. Allen is developing nicely but there is irrational exuberance over his performance last week. I expect he may get a start or two late in the year if we are out of contention, and will be the starter next season.
  16. They are not protesting about their own treatment, rather less economically fortunate individuals of the same race. I agree there should not be equality of economic outcome. But I would say everyone is entitles to equal protection under the law, and they are protesting that it is not the case. I don't necessarily agree, but I do try to see it from their perspective. If we are not going to even try to see things from the other's perspective, we can advance nowhere. I think the patients I see and help every day would argue my job isn't pointless, and they sure as hell would say the 70 some hours a week I'm here for them isn't lazy. Your kind of sweeping generalizations are pointless and dumb. And to reiterate, I am in favor of having the players stand. But I try to see other side's points of view as well. I absolutely have an opinion. I think they should stand. being able to consider the other side of an argument doesn't mean you don't have an opinion.
  17. I agree he was brought in to be that. I disagree that he will ultimately be that.
  18. What we have right now is excessive polarization in society, and this issue is a reflection of that. At some point the 80% in the middle will have to take the country back, and it will likely take some kind of dramatic event, like a depression or nuclear event or something, to have that happen. The word compromise has been lost in our political and social systems. And that's dangerous. Taking these protests as an example, law enforcement is something as an Independent that I lean very much towards the conservative side on. I am strongly behind our law enforcement men and women who put themselves on the line every day. I would say to those who protest against police brutality to first look at yourself and don't commit crimes in the first place. But I also respect those who might have a different view because of their personal history or experiences and while I disagree with the idea of not standing, I get that you may feel differently and feel the need to protest. Doesn't mean I'll agree. Neither of the political extremes have all the answers, our country cannot be governed from the extremes, and that will ultimately have to change.
  19. They have the right to also protest on the field if the owners of the business they work for allows it. Not saying it's necessarily correct but it is what it is. Trump has done a brilliant job in one sense on this. On the other it's a sad commentary of society when we continually separate the citizenry instead of unite them. I agree with your point about fringe elements on both sides screwing up the country. At some point the 80% in the middle will take the country back. In the meantime, while I would rather all players stand, I understand why some are protesting, I understand it's only a very small number, I understand their reasons even though I don't necessarily agree, I understand it's not about our military even though some think it is, I understand those who have served have differing views, and when I'm at a game I will stand and remove my hat out of my respect for a country that allows people who may have differing views from me to express them.
  20. The person you replied to has no desire to let facts obscure his opinion on Allen. He would rather. Allen fail so he can say I told you so than see the Bills succeed. Sad really.
  21. Like I said, I hope McD gets him going. I am just not optimistic it happens.
  22. I hope you're right. He has the athletic gifts but from comments I've read doesn't apply himself to learning routes, etc. Hopefully McD can set him on the right path. My gut reaction is it won't work out but I'd love to be wrong.
  23. Umm, yes I have. I think we'll have Benjamin, Jones, Holmes, Streeter, Reilly, and RayRay.
  24. Has nothing to do with money they make. We all have the right to voice our opinions or protest regardless of economic status. Unless you don't believe in the constitution. But the owners have the right to control it in their private business. complicated issues deserve more consideration than simplistic knee jerk reactions
