  1. Ok boys, let’s matriculate the ball down the field!
  2. This stuff on Edmunds is really getting old. Bills fans since the beginning of the team seem to pick out one player and rag on him unmercifully for whatever reason. So a few points to consider: 1. He is not truly a middle linebacker. To have a middle linebacker, you have to have a middle, i.e. two other LBs on either side of you. We play two LBs who line up at different spots depending on the scheme for that play. So for those harking back to the type of run stuffing Sam Huff, Dick Butkus style of MLB, we don't have that. We don't have a defense like that. 2. They play Edmunds at LB because he can occupy a lot of territory in the passing game. The Bills D under Frazier and McD is set up to play pass defense. For run defense, they ask players to do their job and occupy gaps on a given play. Their run defense is team oriented, it is not meant to funnel the ball carrier to the classic MLB. So when sometimes we criticize Edmunds for not making a play, we don't know what his assignment is on a given play and it could be he is doing his job in the scheme called for but guys around him are not. 3. The concern about his anticipation of plays is difficult to ascertain, again because we don't know what his assignments are on given plays. I would say as you watch him he seems to react a split second early at times, as if he is thinking for that split second vs. reacting to what he sees. 3. I would agree that Edmunds, when he gets to the point of attack, can be more physical in shedding blockers and such. Everyone wants to see Edmunds become McD's Luke Kuechly for our D. I expect McD would love that too. Problem is, Luke Kuechly has a really good chance to be a first ballot HOFer. Those kinds of guys don't come around very often. For now, Edmonds fits the bill for what Mcd wants in his defense, a guy with size and range that can cover a lot of ground.
  3. Start Bates and use Feliciano as the backup C/G assuming he’s healthy.
  4. Thanks for providing this. I’m wondering how the new CDC guideline might affect this.
  5. You isolate for 5 days, but then are required to wear a mask for 5 days. So the question would be if Davis would be required to wear a mask to play.
  6. We’ve lost an icon
  7. I think they lose to the Bengals.
  8. The Colts have an argument.
  9. Sullivan is a talented writer. I always liked his stuff about golf and other topics. But with the Bills and Sabres he felt it was cool to try and insult everyone. He and Graham made themselves part of the story, and that was wrong. Back in the day Felser, Peters, Northrop could all be very critical without making it personal. Guys like Sullivan go out of their way to make it personal.
  10. I’ll bet it’s for not masking, not isolating, and such.
  11. The report is that he has been fined over 100 k for breaking the rules. Beasley himself said he missed the game because of the rules. Talk about living under a rock.
  12. I am disappointed because Beasley could have been in the field but wasn’t, and because he apparently feels he’s above the rules.
  13. The mods aren’t censoring anything on this topic. There have been plenty of comments on both sides of the issue.
  14. The team over pursued.
  15. No decisions have to be made till the off season. But as for Beasley, if there are rules and you are telling your team you have decided you don’t want to follow those, and in doing so could risk teammates towards getting sick, that has to be taken into account.
  16. Other than the brain fart calling three passing plays on the one yard line, he did well today.
  17. Agree with every single word!
  18. Well, I would say they were pretty bad last week. But today we saw that Bates gave them better inside blocking, Brown was much better at RT than LT, and Dawkins was back at LT. I hope going forward they keep Bates in there, and let Feliciano be the C/G backup.
  19. Bill Walsh used to say you’d rather release a guy a year too early vs. a year too late. May be applicable to Beasley.
  20. You cannot give up the two drives they gave up in the second half.
  21. Yes,I am offering an opinion, no more no less. But in the NFL it is very common for older players to be moved out in favor of younger ones.
  22. Other than the obvious Josh and Ike: Brown: neutralized Judon Bates: solidified the interior of the line Singletary: got a lot of tough yards No one on D. The D simply cannot allow two drives back to back like they did in the second half.
  23. Texting something like he did right before the most important game of the year? Won’t sit well with the front office.
