  1. If Kincaid’s self-reported 40 time of 4.5 is true, then that also matches Evans.
  2. Some speculated Buffalo would just be using the IR to stash Hodgins there for a few weeks in an effort to keep him off waivers where other teams could claim him https://billswire.usatoday.com/2020/09/07/buffalo-bills-brandon-beane-isaiah-hodgins-injured-reserve/ I think the same was claimed for Marquez Stevenson. Buffalo general manager Brandon Beane likes the rule changes. “There’s a line that the league worries about roster stashing, just putting guys on to get another guy so I think you want to make sure that people aren’t stashing,” Beane said. “That’s going to be what the league stance is. I think it’s come to a pretty good medium.” https://wtop.com/nfl/2022/11/nfl-injured-reserve-rule-change-forcing-teams-to-be-choosy/ @HaplessBillsFan on here had a nice post explaining it: Right. So what we did last year with (I believe it was) Tommy Sweeney could work. Sweeney, who had a foot injury, was on the initial 53. To accomodate him, we actually cut a player we truly wanted to keep, Andre Roberts, whom other teams immediately tried to sign. Roberts had a "gentleman's agreement" with Beane, which he honored. As soon as the season began, Sweeney was placed on IR and Roberts was re-signed at his original contract, but with his season's salary fully guaranteed as it would have been if he'd been on the 53 man roster opening day. 3. Beane has a history of red shirting players. Maybe this could be one of those. “Hey, sign here, rehab all year on IR, and compete with Bates to be our long term C in 2024.”
  4. You know if he played with Rodgers he’d already be a Jet
  5. Hopeful for Epenesa as well. But for me it’s more about having Miller back. Should make every other DL’s job easier.
  6. Only if it’s the AI generated one
  7. 1. Jets can compete for the division but likely take a WC 2. No. Definitely not decidedly better than AFCN or AFCW and NFCE might have better or equal overall QB talent. 3. It’s close. I think Tua has better top end talent while Allen has greater depth of talent. 4. Jets. 5. NE* has the best potential helping themselves with all those high picks, but I think Jets and Bills tied for talent brought in.
  8. FWIW, we also have Quessenbery and Doyle at OT
  9. There better be a clause requiring the loudest construction to take place during opponents’ 3rd downs!
  10. Fine with shipping out Basham, but I’d be surprised if we land 2 of the top vet DEs.
  11. Clark and Ngakoue are age 27/28, so I’d prefer one of them to the age 34 Ingram and Houston. But I’ll take any of them.
  12. I’m all for adding another DE. That said, I’m not even that high on him, but Epenesa could very well improve on his 6.5 sacks from last year.
  13. From his draft profile: Ford played in a slant-heavy, scheme in 2017 that asked him to try and disrupt in the gaps. While Ford flashed the ability to stack blocks and play with some strength at the point of attack, his lack of overall mass could make it tough for teams to see him in anything other than a penetrating, 4-3 scheme. Ford has a shot at making a team, but his lack of physical traits will be a challenge. Also, his first name is Kaylon. Poona comes from his grandmother calling him “Pooh” as a child.
  14. Cannot wait for Highmark in unison to yell “Poooooooooooooo” when he makes a big play. Great signing. The off-season of big-n-nasty.
  15. Hines might be in line for the limited role instead of Murray. He only got the ball on offense 11 times last year. Personally I think Hines should be worked regularly into the offense, but won’t be surprised if he sees the least offensive touches just based on recent history.
  16. Yep, Gordon couldn’t help fumbling the job away
  17. Yeah I drafted Javonte in fantasy and ended up holding Murray as my last HB for a while after he went down.
  18. Added bonus he’s from near Syracuse.
  19. And you know those boxes were probably stacked. Physicality is most definitely a if not the theme of this off-season.
  20. I forgot that we’re now at the point where every other kid was named Something-aden. Aiden, Brayden, Caden, Hayden, Jaden, Wade N.
  21. Went with Davis. Logic being: (1) Kincaid and Knox figure to cancel each other out some & (2) no Hopkins option.
  22. This is not necessarily my take, but what I heard was Kincaid’s pseudo-H-back abilities are somewhat redundant to Gilliam’s.
  23. I think they usually have 5 total counting Gilliam and the PS. Speculation is Kincaid and Shavers respectively make Gilliam and Jones expendable.
