At 27, JSN excites me the most and Johnston scares me the most. Addison is perhaps the best route runner and most pro-ready. Flowers is explosive and is built like a tank, playing above his size. Feel similarly about Hyatt as Johnston: both strike me as slightly built, even if they have height and speed, and fairly limited in route tree. After 27, I like Dell and Mingo. Would be fine with Downs, but not super excited. Rice scares me, too. Boutte might be a name to watch with the LSU WR coach connection, but meh on him.

Looking at him more for fantasy than for the Bills at this point.

Only reason I push back on this is we have seen Beane double dip in the draft positionally at times. Drafting a top WR would still make sense because of Diggs’ and Hopkins’ age and Davis having 1 year left.

Would not mind him at 27 based on those RAS and would really fit if we could swing a Hopkins trade where we part ways with Oliver.

Thanks Virgil! With the benefit of hindsight, I wish the Bills went Addison, Wypler, Sewell. I think all 3 would end up starters if not start immediately.

A WR at 27 doesn’t have to be able to play inside, outside, and be heir apparent to Diggs. So long as they can step in as one of our top 3 WRs with an eye toward being a WR2/WR1B, fine by me. Will keep saying that Addison and Flowers are worth 27 as both can play all over, run great routes, great separation, and can be WR2 at least.

I like Sewell here. 9.04 RAS and downhill player.

I think he would complement Milano and Bernard’s skill sets well. Also don’t think he’s too limited in coverage.

A few good safeties on the board, but thinking it’s gotta be Sewell.

QB before round 6-7. RB pretty much at all unless someone falls a stupid amount. If Bijan falls, then trade down. FB. TE2 before round 4. Jack Campbell at 27. K, P. Anyone in rounds 1-3 who needs to sit most of his rookie year with the exception of Voorhees in the 3rd.

Certainly a factor to consider generally. For me Addison and Flowers specifically pass the eye test.

I proposed something similar where instead Oliver goes to CHI, Hopkins goes to BUF, and draft picks go to ARI.

I’d rather sign a cheap vet like Murray and avoid further draft capital being allocated to maybe the least valuable position in the league outside STers. Use the draft primarily to keep taking swings at the high cost positions that aren’t fully settled on the roster: OT and WR to start, then DE and CB.

Are they undersized? Yes. But Flowers beats guys deep and also make deep contested catches. Similarly, Addison wins on all 3 levels. I do not think we should be targeting a player in the 1st round who will play primarily outside anyways. I’d rather have versatile chess pieces who can be moved around wherever. Inside or outside, the ability to separate is imho the most important trait and both those guys have it.

Murray was solid last year. Enough that he was one of my back-up fantasy RBs… like Mister Defense said… on the Broncos! I think Murray is going to be a great new starting ILB for us.

IMHO Flowers and Addison can both play inside and outside.
