  1. FWIW, we also have Quessenbery and Doyle at OT
  2. There better be a clause requiring the loudest construction to take place during opponents’ 3rd downs!
  3. Fine with shipping out Basham, but I’d be surprised if we land 2 of the top vet DEs.
  4. Clark and Ngakoue are age 27/28, so I’d prefer one of them to the age 34 Ingram and Houston. But I’ll take any of them.
  5. I’m all for adding another DE. That said, I’m not even that high on him, but Epenesa could very well improve on his 6.5 sacks from last year.
  6. From his draft profile: Ford played in a slant-heavy, scheme in 2017 that asked him to try and disrupt in the gaps. While Ford flashed the ability to stack blocks and play with some strength at the point of attack, his lack of overall mass could make it tough for teams to see him in anything other than a penetrating, 4-3 scheme. Ford has a shot at making a team, but his lack of physical traits will be a challenge. Also, his first name is Kaylon. Poona comes from his grandmother calling him “Pooh” as a child.
  7. Cannot wait for Highmark in unison to yell “Poooooooooooooo” when he makes a big play. Great signing. The off-season of big-n-nasty.
  8. Hines might be in line for the limited role instead of Murray. He only got the ball on offense 11 times last year. Personally I think Hines should be worked regularly into the offense, but won’t be surprised if he sees the least offensive touches just based on recent history.
  9. Yep, Gordon couldn’t help fumbling the job away
  10. Yeah I drafted Javonte in fantasy and ended up holding Murray as my last HB for a while after he went down.
  11. Added bonus he’s from near Syracuse.
  12. And you know those boxes were probably stacked. Physicality is most definitely a if not the theme of this off-season.
  13. I forgot that we’re now at the point where every other kid was named Something-aden. Aiden, Brayden, Caden, Hayden, Jaden, Wade N.
  14. Went with Davis. Logic being: (1) Kincaid and Knox figure to cancel each other out some & (2) no Hopkins option.
  15. This is not necessarily my take, but what I heard was Kincaid’s pseudo-H-back abilities are somewhat redundant to Gilliam’s.
  16. I think they usually have 5 total counting Gilliam and the PS. Speculation is Kincaid and Shavers respectively make Gilliam and Jones expendable.
  17. If he is, then it’s because UDFA WR Shavers, not Murray.
  18. Just heard on WGR. Gotta be $1.7M given before 4 PM. 760 yards, 6 TDs, 4.4 ypc last year. Tough not to like this signing.
  19. Do you know if this is a when the clock strikes midnight deadline?
  20. Crazy to have snagged an UDFA with 42 college starts between LT and OG who started all 13 games on the blindside his senior season, allowing one sack in 343 pass-blocking snaps, in the SEC.
  21. Mims’ draft profile indicates he has pass protection ability while his lack of natural pass-catching ability might keep him off the field on 3rd down. As an aside, it also says he hasn’t fumbled a touch since 2017 per PFF.
  22. Voted B. Mostly due to the lack of high picks and because I think getting an A is extremely rare, not because I’m down on the picks. Tough to argue any pick except Williams was bad value. And I like the Williams pick, especially if his downfield play style reflects how the D figures to shift under McDermott. This draft will be remembered as Kincaid goes. Here’s hoping Swole Beasley is truly an important new weapon for JA17!
  23. SWOLE BEASLEY Best nickname. Credit: a comment on a Cover1 video.
