  1. Maybe a third of the way towards the front. There were no seats (unless you brought chairs), mostly blankets pressed into the mud after the rain. Sound was good, the speakers towers were huge. Fito and The Mole are original (1969 at least) members - on drums and bass, respectively.
  2. Twin Fair on Elmwood Ave in N Buffalo. Canned Heat played at Gilligan's way back when IIRC.
  3. They have quite a handful of performers who played at the original Woodstock 50 years ago. I wonder who is in Canned Heat these days. In summer 1969, I had just flunked out of Brockport State. I got my drivers license, quit my job at Twin Fair, and drove my Corvair to the Woodstock Music & Art Fair. Good old days, man.
  4. I saw The Fab Four a few years ago, and they did an amazing show of Beatles music. I mean, note for note, these guys nailed it, through multiple eras of Beatles material. They put on a great show. You can sometimes catch them on PBS.
  5. This is hilarious. Rosen does seem like a surly kind of guy (judging only from what little we see of him on TV). Yes, but he wears a bowtie.
  6. Have you not heard of the tankng plan seemingly in place in Miami?
  7. I think his spot is safe, too. There was an article stating that Dawkins realized he had slacked off a bit last year, like a sophomore slump, and knows he must knuckle down this year.
  8. A little subplot to enjoy during the draft. We will see if some team agrees with your high opinion of Will Grier. Will he be picked before Daniel Jones? Stay tuned!
  9. Some interesting thoughts here, Zerovoltz. Thanks for the post. Do you think Will Grier is a system QB? He looked good all season, but does Holgorson's system make him look good? He is never mentioned among the top 5 QB prospects, but Daniel Jones usually is.
  10. The OP asked for our most controversial opinion. I replied with my opinion. Just ignore my posts if it makes you feel better.
  11. But in California, the 1 PM ET games start at 10 AM. Living in Arizona, I love that the games start early in the day like that.
  12. I don't think there are other "people like me" on PPP. I doubt that the pole shift is being discussed over there.
  13. River-Horse by William Least Heat-Moon A fascinating journey across America by small boat. Up the Hudson River, across the Erie Canal, and on and on. It's a fun read, if you like travel adventures.
  14. There is a phenomenon known as a pole shift. It happens every 3600 years or so. Earth is abused by a large highly magnetic planet passing nearby. When the next pole shift has completed, the new North Pole will be off the hump of Brazil. Please note that this is something most people do NOT want to know about... Pole shift blog
  15. The end of the world (of sorts) will occur within our lifetimes.
  16. Downward Dog, 2017 on ABC. One brief 8 episode season. It was cool to see a show featuring the dog's point of view.
  17. I always loved Charles Lane's mean guy characters. Going back to Dennis The Menace and beyond. Holy cow - look at his IMDB page for a litany of 50s and 60s TV shows. It's a fun read. IMDB Charles Lane
  18. Are you seriously thinking Jethro Tull is heavy metal? You need some educatin', boy. Sorry, apuz, I just saw that the Grammy idiots voted Tull as best heavy metal band. Do those knuckleheads even listen to the music???
  19. Considering that series of interviews Murray did for Gatorade, I would be surprised if he becomes a successful NFL QB. He seemed to have zero personality. Perhaps that was due to his evasiveness about picking a sport, but it looked like a big red flag to me.
  20. No. Brown is one of the most selfish NFL players I have seen in a long while. I would not want him on the Bills.
  21. Perhaps mention that she is Mariska Hargitay's mother, and maybe a few more will understand.
  22. I was disappointed to see that Chauncey had changed his name. Being There is an old favorite.
  23. Garrett Bradbury C NC State won the Rimington Trophy as best Center in college ball. Jim Ritcher was also an NC State guy, as I recall.
  24. I think that situation has only happened once, in the Osweiler to Browns deal. So, perhaps it is understandable that many people here do not grasp the concept you speak of.
