  1. I am a Vietnam Era veteran, and I thank God for that word "era". I was drafted in 1970 (50 years ago last week!) and served in Germany.
  2. Rest in peace, Squirt! Absolutely one of the best TV characters of the 1960s. So glad TVLand or whoever runs the old Beaver episodes (or have in recent times). And so soon after losing Frank Costanza...
  3. Hey, I wonder what the NFL would give you if you hired a female HC or GM? There's a minority for ya' Maybe they would gift you a couple extra 1st rounders.
  4. This is great. Dunbar: Shortly before the warrant for his arrest was issued Thursday, he held a 15-minute introductory teleconference call and told Seattle reporters: "You just want to feel wanted at the end of the day. ... I just hope to repay them with the way I carry myself as a person."
  5. Thank you @stevewin for transcribing and posting this. Wonderful stuff from Dion.
  6. I like Duke, mostly because I enjoyed his CFL play for 2 seasons. I was rooting for Duke last year to make it. I do not think there is a spot for Duke now, with Diggs, Davis and Hodgins added, Davis likely to the 53. I do not see the similarity to Fred Jackson though. Coe College vs Auburn U, where Duke had disciplinary issues, and was kicked off the team. How about Fred? Troublemaker? No. No similarities at all, but carry on.
  7. Hey, you are OK, Costa. There was no Larry or Warford in that other post's title.
  8. The bullhorn business is what I remember about the Gregg-o administration. Just a low class, first class jerk. Fairly soon, the Bills had to leggo of old Gregg-o.
  9. I'm glad you have heard of (or at least are not grossed out by) the PB & bacon idea. The lettuce adds the moisture needed by the dry peanut butter.
  10. Amen, brother! And if there is dressing left over, put that on the sandwich, too! I was going to say peanut butter and bacon with lettuce. This may make people go "ewwww" but it is great.
  11. If your jersey is for a new player, consider that the jersey number could change once the 53 is set. Not a problem if you want a 78 or a 12, of course.
  12. I really like Bass' strong leg. He could be very good - long way to go to make it in the big leagues, I know...
  13. Hey, it's the off-season (and a weird one at that), so how to you have a problem discussing our new WR situation? Ignore the friggin' post if you don't like the topic. Crikeys!
  14. Watching Roscoe Parrish #11 in that 2007 MNF game was painful. What a weak individual - well, he was quite small, and not powerful at all.
  15. @Alphadawg7 Thank you for breaking this out of the huge AJ thread. This is some great stuff! I love hearing from the OL who faced him. Cool that Runyan Jr is so analytical about it. Great thread!
  16. No. Simply no. What is this obsession with AJ Green? Get over it, eh?
  17. Gilliam, the TE/FB from Toledo, had very few catches in his career, but 6 blocked kicks or punts. Listed at 6'1, 255, he sounds intriguing indeed.
  18. That's pretty funny. I noticed Zack Moss enjoys climbing mountains - not likely to be a hobby he picked up in Florida, eh?
  19. Leonard Cohen reference? "Everybody Knows" Everybody got this broken feelingLike their father or their dog just died
  20. Kavosiey Smoke - Kentucky RB
  21. Sparks - Ah-choo! A-choo! One size fits everyone.
  22. When I worked on the F-15 (twin engine) at McDonnell-Douglas, the folks used to refer to the F-16 (single engine) as "lawn darts". Put them to the test, they said: "go up to 40,000 feet and turn off one engine!" Hence the lawn dart reference.
  23. ATL??? WTF? Can the Bills put 716 on their jerseys?
  24. Since there are few people flying these days, it might be a good time to try out this "sleep mask". I wonder why these things have not caught on.
  25. I know zero people in those categories.
