  1. The dude hasn't played in three years and has a drug problem. I mean I could see them taking a chance on a guy that had a PED suspension 4 years ago and has been squeaky clean ever since, but a druggie that used to be a stud three years ago? That's a big f@#$ no in just about everyone's book.
  2. This would never happen. Not the kind of guy they want in the locker room.
  3. Bills vs Skins Rematch in Minnesota, except the Bills take this one home. Go Bills!
  4. Definitely not Smith, but I would trade Ragland for D'Anthony Thomas and a 5th round pick. We need someone electrifying out there for our return game. Going to be hard to play ground and pound ball with bad field position.
  5. Thanks! For a second I thought this was an EJ Manuel thread. Lol I wouldn't mind a guy that can contribute as a CB and return specialist, but I saw that he can't really do either effectively.
  6. Any update here? Would like to see the Bills add a gadget player to fill in as a return specialist and WR/RB from time to time. What about a guy like Dexter McCluster, or D'Anthony Thomas? Is there anyone out there like that on the roster bubble?
  7. I'm not sure if it will matter that much who plays where. From what I understood is that each guy will play in multiple roles. Sammy was primarily on the outside, but Boldin, Mathews, and Jones all have experience lining up in multiple positions. We could see a lot of bunch WR/TE/RB sets more so than a single flanker on either side. Even with a guy flanked out, I doubt he would be the primary target. Just a decoy to keep the safety over top. Most likely would be a different guy each time, that could be moving in motion to identify the coverage type.
  8. I agree 100%. My biggest concern is our return game. Field position is a huge factor in a ground and pound offense. We need an electrifying talent to get us in decent field position. Tate is decent but doesn't quite have the burst he used to have. Ross and everyone else hasn't proved anything during camp, and I most definitely do not want to see White back there. Hopefully we can find another guy to add to the mix after every team trims their rosters.
  9. Yeah maybe, but I doubt it. Or maybe, I am just hoping it was about the on field shenanigans.
  10. Doubt it was an off-field issue. The coach wouldn't address an off field issue right after practice like that. He clearly said that to deflect the conversation from him getting chewed out for acting like an a$$ on the field.
  11. Yeah of course! I'm sure that was a misinterpretation in terms of top tier talent. I pray that he locks in the better guys for long term deals, but if the money isn't right then we should let them walk. I just hope that we have a guy behind him that can play in his place. I'm not a big fan of starting rookies every year, but it seems to be the norm for us every year. Hopefully we can build a tight nucleus of players over the next few years so we can develop young talent rather than throwing them to the wolves.
  12. There contract is for 4-5 years. You obviously lock up the talent that is hard to come by. You will never be able to lock up every player, but having them for at least 4 years is better than a 1 year contract for a support player
  13. I don't think you got my point sir. A typical draft pick carries a 4 year contract with a 5th year option for 1st round picks. You obviously pay the premier players and let the mediocre support guys walk. By drafting more than 3-4 players every year (Like we have the past several drafts) we wouldn't have to fork out 1 year contracts worth between $1 - $5 mil. If you repeat this process every year, we wouldn't have to fork out any money for those one year deals for support players. Look at Green Bay, the Steelers, and all of the other successful teams around the league that have done a great job managing their cap while retaining their better players. Also, look at the Steelers when they let Emanuel Sanders walk. They did that and then boom! Sir Antonio Brown pops up out of nowhere and turns into a monster. That sir, is exactly my point on this scenario.
  14. I wouldn't say it's constant turnover. When you draft a player you typically have them play for 4-5 years. 4-5 years of play is not a constant turnover. Signing guys to 1 year deals every single year, and not having enough money to sign the guys you drafted is constant turnover. The guy is doing this the right way.
  15. Most definitely! It can go either way. I bumped down for Sammy, and up with Jordan for the availability of each player. If the chest injury worsens , and he misses a lot of time then this trade will lose some credibility, but won't be a bust because of the picks.
  16. Starvin' Marvin Harrison! He was absolutely incredible in my opinion. Incredible route running ability and the best hands I've ever seen.
  17. Yeah, you do have a point, but I'd rather run with a bum chest than a bum foot. He at least will have a chance to heel a bit before the season. I don't see the Bills working him that much to ensure his availability through the season. If they do, and he worsens it, then we will have the same situation with that we had with Sammy last year.
  18. People will always look at these two trades separately, but the Bills made these trades all on one day for a reason. They essentially traded a B+ WR, a C+ CB, and a 6th round pick for a 2nd, 3rd, C- CB, and B WR. The fact that we can gain comp picks from both player acquisitions makes this deal a tad bit more sweeter. I like where this new style of management is heading. Championships are won through the draft, not free agency. Now you can argue that Sammy was an A+, but he's not. He hasn't reached that level of play yet because of injuries. Darby could also be a B+ caliber player, but took a huge step back last year. He struggles way too much against size and really quick WR. The same can go with newly acquired CB Gaines. He had a wonderful rookie year, but slumped out the next two due to injuries. The benefit with him is his physicality whether he is in the slot, outside, or on special teams. Jordan Mathews reminds me of a poor mans Larry Fitzgerald, with his size, athleticism, and character. He obviously won't make as many bang bang plays like Sammy, but he catch contested passes, and go up for jump balls when needed. Which is something we have lacked over the years. All together, these trades were made in unison, and should be treated that way. I hate to see guys with talent leave, but we are setting ourselves up with decent replacements and potential playmakers in the future. Go Bills!
  19. He will play through it. He's been out there for 46 of 48 games as a pro. I think he started most of them as well.
  20. Funny you say that. My buddy went to the game last night as well. Go Bills from the DMV!
  21. I agree 100% I think they will be addressing several positions before final cuts. We might see an additional pass rusher, TE, RB, and DB come in to fill out the roster. This would also allow us to cut Holmes, and Davis to potentially get a third round comp for next years draft.
  22. Clay and Nick can, he just needs to line up in the slot like Jimmy Graham.
  23. Big dude, but he most likely won't make it as a QB. You never know though, he might develop into a monster dual threat.
  24. So, I watched Tropic Thunder last night, and I took one thing away from it that I think would benefit you. - "Never go full retard!"
