  1. Thank you for not leaving. I wouldn't be too concerned with a rift between GM and coach. That kind of stuff happens a lot. Glenn, when healthy, can be a top 10 tackle. Coach was looking at the depth of the position, and of course wants his best players out there. Beane will always be looking to make a move, and most likely for all players on the roster except for rookies. Good to know that they are not in a power struggle. I think it is important that they both have a mutual agreement on roster moves.
  2. How long must I wait For this team to be great Maybe on this date We'll get our playoff birth With a win on December 17th, 24th, and 31st
  3. I actually agree with this. The Dolphins have a decent pass rush that can create havoc for young Nate and his decision making process. Additionally, Tyrod has had some of his better games against the Dolphins defense that has barely changed over the past few years. We should have the edge against them, especially since they won't have Jay busting out 200 plus yds.
  4. I hope so, but doubt it this year. There are at least 5 definite teams, and 6 more maybe's that I can think of that will be looking for a QB. Browns, Broncos, Jets, Cardinals, and Bills for sure. Giants, Dolphins, Jaguars, Bengals, and the Redskins could be looking as well. The Saints could also be a maybe with Brees' career coming to an end. That would be 11 teams that can be making a QB change next season. There should also be a lot of vet QBs available as well so this offseason might be a crazy one.
  5. I think we would be better off with Baker, Rosen, or Rudolph. In reality I don't see our upper management making the move to go get either one of them unless they slide down to us.
  6. I personally like Baker, Rudolph, and Rosen better, but with our upper management wanting Panthers players they might be looking for a Cam Newton type player. Allen fits the mold, so that's who I think we'll end up drafting. We most likely would sit him a year or two behind a vet QB as well.
  7. I don't think we will see NYG take a QB that high. I see the draft playing out a little differently. 1. Browns: QB, Josh Rosen 2. Broncos (via 49ers): QB, Mason Rudolph 3. Colts: RB, Saquon Barkley 4. Bears: WR, Courtland Sutton 5. 49ers (via Broncos): S, Derwin James 6. Browns (via Texans): DB, Minkah Fitzpatrick 7. Jaguars (via Giants): QB, Baker Mayfield 8. Buccaneers: DE, Bradley Chubb 9. Jets: QB, Sam Darnold 10. Dolphins: CB, Ken Webster 11. Bills (via Chiefs): QB, Josh Allen 21. Bills: MLB, Roquan Smith 53. Bills: CB, Josh Jackson 56. Bills (via Rams): DE, Duke Ejiofor 96. Bills (via Eagles): DT, B.J. Hill 117. Bills: OLB, Ulysees Gilbertt III
  8. If we were starting from scratch, I'd say o-line every time. We actually have a decent o-line with depth, so QB all the way in our situation. I'd prefer a vet QB with a high pick understudy though. Maybe Alex Smith, and Josh Allen? Josh Allen seems to be more like Cam Newton with his size and athleticism, and I doubt we would have to trade up too far to get him.
  9. Alex Smith was the first QB taken overall and Aaron Rogers fell out of the top ten. Who would you rather have? edit: It can also go both ways though. I remember when we went after Losman / Evans instead of trading up for Rothlisberger / Manning / Rivers. Nobody knew how they'd turn out, but we definitely missed out on three great QBs that are still playing well today. Either way, I'd hate for us to trade everything for a guy to only have him suck because we can't put talent around him. We could have gone broke picking up either one of them and failed to surround them with talent, tarnishing their careers. Hope we get our guy regardless though. GO BILLS!
  10. Negatron ghost rider! Re-read what I wrote. My take is to not trade up and let the guy fall to us and groom him behind a vet QB that will start for us next season. Not passing, we are gonna draft a guy and let him learn before we throw him to the wolves.
  11. Not short sighted at all. We go after a young QB that can be our starter or draft a QB and let him sit behind Alex Smith. Both scenarios are for the now and future, which seems to be the moto around the Bills front office. I understand this is your opinion, but it's also not realistic to mortgage a whole draft for a QB when you have glaring holes all over. The Bills staff will try to sign a proven candidate or trade for one. Depending on the new guys age will determine if they draft a QB high or in the later rounds.
  12. I'd like to see us draft a top tier QB, but would hate to see us mortgage a draft for one. We should be more interested in signing a vet QB to lead our offense next season, while we utilize all of our picks to gather a plethora of talent. Who knows how the draft will fall. The QB they covet the most may fall to them without having to trade up. Let the guy sit behind one of the several vet QBs that will be available this offseason. We should have a choice between Kirk Cousins, Alex Smith, Sam Bradford, Derek Anderson, Case Keenum, Josh McCown, Matt Moore, Teddy Bridgewater, Jimmy Garappolo, Drew Brees or Chase Daniel. I'd be comfortable with either one of those guys with several filling our QB needs for years to come. This offseason will be very interesting. I think our GM and coach will go after a top tier FA QB, and make a hard push for Kirk Cousins if he becomes a FA. If not, we will try for Alex Smith and draft the QB they like the most.
  13. Other than not being able to control his emotions on the field, I don't see anything significant enough that would warrant a bad character grade. I don't think there is a single QB coming out that has as much passion as this guy. That sort of thing is contagious as well. Ray Lewis instantly made everyone on the field better just by his voice, and his presence. Terrell Suggs still can hear that mans voice on the field every time he gets a strip sack. If this kid can ignite a fire in all of our players, then I'll welcome it.
  14. The key to all of this is that you cannot be predictable. We may have the most predictable offense in the league right now. We need a little more creativity if we want to make a playoff push. In my opinion, now is the time to let TT scramble a bit more, incorporate more option play, absolutely zero reverses, more slants and crossing patterns. Throw an occasional screen on every other drive to keep that pass rush on their heels. GO BILLS!!!
  15. I am definitely not a QB expert either, but I think the guy has all the tools to play well. I think Aaron Rogers had accuracy issues coming out of college, but he seemed to fix his throwing motion which I assume corrected his accuracy issues. Me personally, I believe accuracy issues can always be corrected if the player has the ability to unlearn bad habits. Some guys just can't seem to let go. Brady had to go through a similar adjustment, and made it his everyday process. I remember commentators and analysts comparing his throwing motion from the beginning of his career to his 5th and 6th season as a starter. You will notice a drastic change in his yearly statistics between those times as well. Either way I believe any guy with skills can be successful with the right mindset. Hopefully if and when we pick our guy he has that drive and the ability to make the necessary changes in his game to succeed.
  16. I think Josh Allen would be a great candidate to sit behind an Eli Manning, Sam Bradford, or Alex Smith. We should be able to get him later in the first round too Go get Vita Vea with the other first round pick.
  17. There will be plenty veteran QB options this offseason. I imagine the Bills will go hard for either Manning, Alex Smith, or Bradford. If they all decline, or sign elsewhere then we will settle with Derek Anderson.
  18. This is why we should draft Vita Vea out of Washington. Sign Coleman, but we also need some insurance for our run stuffers.
  19. All good man, I take back my comment too. Hope this game is not a blow out. Lol
  20. Um, I was describing a zone coverage scheme. Do you know anything about football, Chris, bandwagon jumper?
  21. Wide 9 on every passing down with an alternate blitzer between the tackles. Keep him in the pocket while we crash it down and force him to make quick throws. Coverage has to be close on the outside to prevent the quick slants and underneath routes. If we force him to throw early, then the CBs can sit in their zone and time to jump the route. Poyer needs to be in the box shadowing Gronk over the top while Lorax jams at the line and plays underneath reading Brady's eyes. Hyde will be the single high safety over top keeping everything underneath. Brown will exclusively play the middle zone while Humber shadows the RB in the flats.
  22. I personally think that we will completely overhaul the offense next year. TT will be gone and the Bills will try to move on from Shady, Clay and Glenn as well. Mathews will also be gone as I don't see us giving him a lucrative contract. So with that being said, why not start fresh at coordinator as well? We'll most likely have new starters at QB, RB, TE, T, and G. Might as well change schemes to a guy with more creativity (other than those ridiculous reverses) and a little more experience play calling.
  23. Def need more than one game, but regardless I'd be excited. He flunks then we will only improve our draft position to hopefully draft a stud. He does good then we can add some talent around him. Win/win situation with this guy.
  24. They made the switch because they believe that Nate will take a chance on 50/50 balls more than TT. We have large bodied possession receivers that will in most cases win the contested catch battles. And by win I mean they will either catch it or defend against the interception. TT showed that he was ineffective without his mobility, which is also a contributing factor. If you can't run, then we need you to throw. He has not shown the ability to throw down the field effectively. While Nate should have the advantage throwing, he still has enough mobility to scramble and be an effective running threat if needed.
  25. I'm willing to bet that he will start this week. Humber has not returned to the form he started the season with.
