  1. No huge arm, no eye popping stats, no great speed, not a big name school, not 6'5" 240 lbs. This draft was also loaded with talent in other places, so the other teams were more worried about the skilled positions. The other QBs taken before him had either better attributes or a better resume. Not sure if anyone was scared either, there was just a lot of other talent in the later rounds that was more appealing to them. I honestly believe that we would have passed Nate if there was a talented skilled player there. We picked him up as an, eh this could be good, kind of pick. I truly believe the Bills were invested in TT like he would be the guy no matter what this season, and they would pick up a vet to back him up. I really think we got the steal of the draft with this guy. Might be as good as they come.
  2. I'm sure it will be more pre snap type confusion than anything else. The Chargers will make him think the blitz is coming from the left and blitz right. Or they will blitz on passing downs on two consecutive plays, but fake the blitz on the 3rd. The best way to get a tell from the defense is the hard count, see where they jump or shift to, and make the necessary adjustments. From what I saw, it looks like Nate already had that in his arsenal before he got here, so I don't think the "confusion" will hinder his gameplay that much. May work in our favor if he catches the defense in a favorable matchup due to their "confusion" tactics.
  3. I paid a lot of attention to this guy before the draft, and almost never saw the arm strength issues on film. Plus, if you look at all the pro game film on this guy his zip on the ball is very impressive. I don't think we'll have any issues with his arm strength at all. Can't wait to see how he does for a full 60 min. Just want to see consistent drives and passes into tight windows. We have the guys to win most 50/50 type passes, so if Nate puts it near them I expect our guys to come away with it or at least prevent the interception. Go Bills!
  4. Tyrod led offense 8-8 at LA Win at KC Loss vs NE Loss vs Indy Loss vs Mia Win at NE Loss at Mia Win Peterman led offense 10-6 at LA Win at KC Win vs NE Loss vs Indy Win vs Mia Win at NE Win (Secure 5th seed Wildcard spot) at Mia Loss (Rest starters)
  5. Yeah, the last two games were very bad, but those guys were noticeably tired. They were doing great against quality teams the first seven games, but the last two we were destroyed. I think our defense is much better than those two performances. Well I hope so lol.
  6. So, with the new changes made, I'd like to see us sustain some longer drives. Our defense is good, but old. They cannot be relied on to go hard for 45 min of the game. The offense needs to stay on the field as long as possible, especially after the opposing team sustains a 10 plus min drive. They just have to find a way to give them more rest and keep the d-line fresh.
  7. I'm not entirely sure they are making their case based on what he has done so far in camp and so on. I believe it's more of them wanting TT to finally turn the corner rather than abandoning their appointed starter midway through a 5-4 start to the season. Peterman has had almost no reps with the starters since the start of the season, so in season evaluation is almost non-existent. Game time play or reps with the ones in practice is where you can evaluate this guy. Kurt Warner was pushed around until he finally got a chance to play and prove himself. The same happened for Tom Brady, Kurt Cousins, Matt Hasselback, Trent Green, and Mark Brunell. The list goes on, but the point is that you can't make any assumptions based on what you listed. Coaches make mistakes all of the time. If it wasn't for injuries Brady and Cousins might have been traded to another team, or lost to free agency. We just want to see what this kid has to offer before we invest an entire draft class on a guy that could potentially be a dud. If we fall below .500 then we'll see a QB change, and get a real feel foe what this kid has to offer.
  8. Yeah, of course. I actually do like Taylor though. I just don't think this offense will ever be suitable for his abilities, at least on a consistent basis. Get the dude in a KC type offense and he'll be just fine. Pro style / west coast / timing offense shenanigans is this mans kryptonite.
  9. Dude, you could be right, but I can see why you don't want to jump the gun on this one. To meet in the middle, you have to admit that it was kind of nice to watch a guy throw the ball on time, accurately, from the pocket. If we fall below .500 we'll see a QB change, mark my words...
  10. I really like TT and have for quite some time, but we're not using his abilities like we should be. The spread offense would suit him better with a lot of option runs and PA screen passes. That style of offense (similar to KC's) would turn TT's world upside-down in such a positive way. The problem is that we're not willing to make those adjustments. So, in that case we should turn it over to a guy that can operate this system the way they want it operated. I mean, I can see why they're holding on to TT as the starter because if he throws the ball effectively and extends plays with his feet, it's something special. So special that it's almost unstoppable. The problem is that it will never happen on a consistent basis. As for them actually making the move, I don't think it will happen until we are below .500. This staff will follow the same blueprint as everyone else, and wait until total collapse before a change is made. Just wish they would think outside of the box and do what is right for this team before it is too late. Whether it is change the scheme or change the starters, you have to consistently evolve during the season.
  11. Gosh man, I'm more upset about that now than when it happened. If I knew those would be his only targets the whole game....stroke / heart attack / aneurism all at once! I'm telling you man, he was surprised. He double caught it because he couldn't believe the pass got to him on time. LOL
  12. Yeah, forgot to mention how he has barely had a chance to throw to Jordan Mathews and Deonte Thompson as well. You've got to be impressed with how he handled himself out there, garbage time or not. Bills coaches need to put their best guys out there, and you cant make exemptions for the QB.
  13. Garbage time? Yes. But the dude hit Benjamin without any problems and probably has thrown absolutely zero times to him in practice this past week. You know TT took every chance to build a chemistry with this guy and did nothing with it. Peterman comes in and hits him with ease, while barely warming up. I just can't get passed it. 3 targets the first drive, then nothing? We've seen the same thing with Watkins / Woods the last few years as well. TT just can't stay in a rhythm with his receivers, or loses trust in his ability to throw it to them. It's almost like he thinks he'll get picked off if he throws it to them too often. Some kind of psychological barrier is preventing him from making those plays. Love the guy, but damn dude just get out of your head and throw them the ball.
  14. I think you're both spot on. I think TT has shown since preseason that he is not a timing type thrower. He needs to be mobile and find the guy open while scrambling. That seems to be where he has most success. Peterman on the other hand came in a did exactly what he did in the preseason. He took command as a rookie and placed the ball accurately and quickly. I think Jordan Mathews was surprised at one point that the ball actually got to him on time. Now, like what you're saying HG, this could be garbage time play, but I like what this rookie just did coming off the bench. He had almost no time with Kelvin Benjamin either, but hit the dude on two consecutive plays for 33 yds. I doubt he would play like garbage with a full week in preparation as the starter though. In my -not so expert- opinion, I think he's worth a hard look. GO BILLS!
  15. All together the D-line and LBs were garbage, but there were several plays where PB failed to blast the running lane. He would often run into the back of his lineman. Really bad day for him in run support and coverage. That PI was horrible as well. He had plenty of time to turn around and play the ball.
  16. Well, I'll need their names, SSN's, banking info, and so on. I'll make sure they'll never be able to afford those tickets again. Lol
  17. We will find a way! We might have to buy all the season tickets we can and give them away to all the opposing teams fans. How bad would that be to lose your home field advantage? We'll even go after the guys seat that holds up the target for Gostowski on every kick. TAKING OVER SON!!!
  18. Just a thought: Was thinking about earlier in the year when we basically took over the new Falcons dome and how frustrated Matty Ice got because of it. Wouldn't be great if we could do that against the Pats on their home turf? Would be awesome to see it happen this year, but doubt we would have enough tickets to consume. Next season we should push hard for Bills fans to buy up all those Patsy tickets once they hit the market. Gosh that would be something else if we could do that. Complete mind **** them on their own turf. Other than that, let's take on this "Who Dat" nation and get the win. GO BILLS!
  19. My guess would be in this order: Dirk Koetter (in 2 weeks) Hugh Jackson (week after Koetter) Chuck Pagano (between week 14-17) Ben McAdoo (after season finale) Marvin Lewis (week or two after Super Bowl) John Harbaugh (surprise firing, but will happen around the same time Marvin Lewis gets canned) Harbaugh will likely get the Giants job while John Gruden takes over the Colts. The Bucs might sign Marvin Lewis. Ravens will land Josh McDaniels. Browns will end up with Jim Shwartz, and the Bengals will end up signing Jim Bob Cooter as their next coach.
  20. Just really sloppy play. They looked completely unprepared for this game. Opportunities were missed, but the biggest issue with last night was the penalties. We shot ourselves in the foot on almost every drive. I also saw a lot of no-calls against the Jets which could bring down the morale a lot more. They should bounce back nicely next game against the Saints...well at least I hope so. Lol
  21. Tebow was no where near as good a passer and was more of a fullback playing QB. This kid reminds me a lot of how Russell Wilson plays. He may not be as athletic, but has similar build and pocket awareness. His throwing motion is a little lower though, so given his size he may have to make a few adjustments in the pros. I do believe that he will be successful though. This kid has a lot of drive in him to succeed. He basically willed his way into every starting gig he's had. Whether he is a 1st or undrafted, I expect him to have that same type of competitiveness. I do not think he will be a Bill though. I can see the Saints taking a shot on him to develop under Brees for a year or two.
  22. A lot are saying the Pats will sweep us, but I see us actually having a significant advantage against them this year. Their defense is torn to shreds without Hightower, and with our ball control game plan we should be able to sustain longer drives. Our defense also may have an advantage against those seem route passes to Gronk, and the underneath passing game. A lot of Hyde's success rides on tipped passes over the middle. So, as crazy as it may sound, I see us sweeping the Pats this year and winning the division at 13-3. Our only loss in the second half will be against KC. Go Bills!
  23. Props to them in a huge way. They managed to take our mediocre WR corps and turn it into a strength in a matter of two weeks. Was hoping for a CB, but Benjamin is a matchup nightmare with his size. Really excited about the direction this team is headed.
  24. We would have the edge on the Pats based on division record.
  25. True, about Revis. I don't know too much about Shields other than announcers raving about his coverage skills before the injury bug hit him. Either way, we need a guy or two to add depth back there.
