  1. I thought our new offensive coordinator was TT's QB coach in Baltimore
  2. I posted this in the other thread as well. We should give KC's TE coach, Tom Melvin a look. He has been with Andy Reid for years, and was a part of his staff when McDermott was there. Here's a good read on him http://www.chiefs.co.../tommelvin.html
  3. Here's a good read on Tom Melvin. http://www.chiefs.com/longreads/2015/tommelvin.html
  4. I'd like to see some fresh blood in at coordinator rather than an older cat. There's a guy over in KC that was hired on by Andy Reid around the same time as McDermott. He also just so happens to be the guy that has developed Travis Kelce into the beast that he is today. Additionally, it looks like McDermott it hiring all of Andy Reid's 2002 Eagles staff, and this guy is one of the assistants on the team. So, if we're gonna go in that direction, I'd like to take a look at Tom Melvin.
  5. If this is true, then I don't see us retaining Lynn either. If Lynn was to become the next coach, I'm sure he would want some continuity. It's going to be an interesting offseason...
  6. I'd like to keep Z. Brown, Lorax, and maybe Woody if their asking price isn't ridiculous. Bring back Felton, Hunter, Mills, Douz, Bryant, and White. Offer a high tender to Mike G, and a low to Groy. Gilly is gone unless there was trade interest, then I'd tag and ship off to the Browns or something. I really like the Prince signing if he comes at a very cheap prove it kind of deal. Not big on Claiborne with the injury bug tag on him, but wouldn't mind his skillset if he can stay healthy.. As for the draft, I would like to snag either Malik Hooker or Quincy Wilson depending on who is available. They're both aggressive and seem to have a nose for the ball. If both aren't there, then I would trade back on three different occasions to accumulate as many draft picks as possible. Probably trade with a team in the middle of round one, then I'd try to trade with a playoff team, and finally with the owner of the 1st overall pick in the second round (Currently owned by the Browns). With that philosophy, we'd have about 24 hours to evaluate the best players available rather than 10 min on the clock. Typically the best players available are plagued by injuries, off field issues, small school players, or raw talent. I feel like we have the best chance of snagging a top tier guy (Guys that are pissed they didn't get selected in Round 1) at this spot, plus we can accumulate several other picks in this draft as well as additional picks in the following years draft. With a couple of years of trading down and snagging hidden gems, or team SHOULD be loaded with talent on the cheap side. This would open up much needed cap space to retain the best talent and prevent us from having to sign 28 free agents every year.
  7. He would have been a high pick if he didn't have off field issues. Without the fight in Florida he would have been picked in the 1st or 2nd round for sure.
  8. I agree, we have to pay him less. He's not worth that amount, but he's worth keeping around for a lesser amount. Low blow man, that's like telling a kid Santa Clause isn't real. Kelly, along with a great defense, great running game, and great special teams, and a great backup QB helped this team get to the promise land. He was a big part, but definitely not the only reason why we were successful.
  9. Dude, we get a better RT and we'll be one of the best lines out there. We gave up a lot of coverage, and scramble sacks. TT has been horrible in that department, hanging on to the ball way too long and missing the open guys. Dak on the other hand could have been great here as well, we will never know... I definitely agree about the ceiling, but I'd like to keep him and maintain what we have until someone better wins the job. Draft and develop guys to replace starters no matter how safe the position is. You never know when they might go down...we need a "next man up" kind of motto around here.
  10. Actually I envision Romo playing up there next season. John Fox isn't a mobile QB kind of guy, he's a vet QB guy, and Romo played at Illinois. A part from that, I completely understand why you want another signal caller back there. Everyone wants a Tom Brady, Matt Ryan, Aaron Rogers type guy, but we will never get him. Now, if we manage to snag the next great QB it definitely will not be with our current scouting department and GM in place. Whaley likes big, dumb, mobile QBs like what Rothlisburger was with the Steelers when he was a part of their scouting department. Just look at the last two QBs he has drafted. Whaley will never draft the guy that every Bills fan wants as their QB, and he certainly won't draft the guy you have as your profile pic.
  11. Never said he is great, and never will. All I am saying is that if our defense had performed like it was capable, he wouldn't have to lead those drives on an every game basis.
  12. So, when the Bills were up 17-6 with 6 min left in the 3rd quarter, TT lost them the game?? When the Fins ran for 256 yds and 2 tds, it was TT fault? Or how about, when the defense allowed three straight TD scoring drives happen right before their eyes...was that TT's fault as well? Dude, you're amazing lmao
  13. Dude, the problem was that the defense gave up those leads. I don't understand why some of you think TT needs to put up crazy numbers for us to win. Winning games late when the defense has shut down the offense is a must, and some times he can't make the plays. But dude, when the defense gives up 20 point leads late in the game there's not much a QB can do to fix that.
  14. Explain to me how it is difficult to win with a great defense? Almost every championship winning team had a great defense. You have no idea what you are talking about do you?
  15. I wouldn't say it's easier. There a few great QBs out there now with horrible defenses that can't seem to carry their team to the promise land. I'm also not saying TT is the savior either, but he is the best we've had in a while. Having him and drafting QB prospects that could potentially dethrone would be an ideal situation in my opinion.
  16. I don't thin Rex ever just rushed 3 unless it was a prevent defense. Now when we didn't blitz we were very successful, but it seems like when we needed a stop they would send the house and almost fail every time. Maybe you can find the stats to prove me wrong because I haven't seen any 3rd down blitz percentage reports any where. Dude I am definitely saying TT is the truth. The dude cannot see the middle of the field to save his life, and has missed the open guy on several different occasions. All I'm saying is that he is better than every other QB since Jimbo, and that we have had horrible success finding an answer. Hey it ain't pretty, but the offense was definitely above average running the ball. As for passing we were horrid. If we would excel on the defensive side like we should have, then we would be in the same position as the Chiefs with their mediocre QB Alex Smith. I'd love to have a stellar QB, but with our scouting department and GM, that will never happen. That is why we should continue with what we have. Ground and pound with the offense and destroy on defense. Kill the clock and play ball like the Seahawks when they won it all a few years ago.
  17. Nah, no need to run the numbers when I can visually see at least 5 players rushing the QB on third down. What exactly were you watching? Like I said, the QB never lost those games. The defense did
  18. For all of those QB hatin' naysayers out there that consistently blame our QB for the Bills problems (Including Jim Kelly), you are fricken wrong!! That mediocre QB orchestrated the best rushing attack our team has ever had. And a lot of that has to do with his dual threat capabilities. Now our passing game wasn't the greatest, but it also didn't need to be either. Our defense was absolutely horrid, and even worse when we really needed stops. The QB has nothing to do with guys whiffing tackles, blitzing the house EVERY time on 3rd down, playing a 5'6" CB on a 6'7" TE (and then bench him failing in coverage lmfao). I can go on for days, but none of this has anything to do with the damn QB. The defense let us down when we all thought it would be our best asset. Now, to be honest, I would love to have a prolific QB that can sling the rock up and down the field, but we have had zero success in finding one. I really don't believe that our scouting department has a clue about evaluating QB talent at all. Cardale is definitely not the answer either. The dude has tremendous talent with his size and arm strength, but like EJ, he just doesn't have the ability to make an educated decision. Now off the filed these guys are bright and intelligent young men, but will never be consistent QBs. So basically what I am saying, is we need to restructure TT's deal and keep him. Hire a defensive minded HC or pick up a great coordinator that can reshape this defense into what it was three seasons ago. Most of the parts are still there. Retain Z. Brown, Lorax, maybe Woody, draft a ball hawking safety and a replacement for Gilly. Drafting Malik Hooker or Quincy Wilson could fill one of those holes with the top pick in the draft. As for replacements at the top spot, I'm good with retaining Lynn, The Rocket Scientist, and maybe McDerminator. Was big on him last year when the Panthers D was unstoppable, but this year was pretty bad.
  19. He was a lousy ball boy. Nobody wants a coach that chases balls for a living. We want a guy who can build f****** rockets baby!!!
  20. Exactly! Belichick didn't find the rocket scientist, the rocket scientist found the Belichick!
  21. Who is this gem that you speak of? Is he a f****** rocket scientist? No I didn't think so...
  22. Are you high on something? McDaniel drafted Tim Tebow in the first round! I can understand the "Belichick's defense" comment, but dude lay off the boat drinks. Besides, the offense is all Brady. Gosh, everyone knows that!
