  1. I read it, but feel like trading down is the better option. Sorry if I copied and pasted, but it seems there are several draft topic / scenario type threads out there and felt the need to go postal on everyone's draft threads. Lol
  2. After looking at the Bills depth for all positions, I believe the most glairing need based on depth is at OLB, with CB coming in at a close second, and DE coming in at a distant third. WR, Safety, and RT have a lot of depth, but still have question marks. Within the draft, I really don't see a lot of depth at LB in the later rounds that would produce a possible day 1 starter. That would be my # 1 need since we have two starting OLBs that are career special teams aces. DB is stacked this year, and I believe we can find a day 1 starter / contributor in the later rounds. DE is set with their two starters, but lack serious depth in a scheme that requires a lot of subbing in and out. Fortunately there is some solid depth here as well that we can address in the later rounds as well. We have projected starters, and projected backups for WR, S, and RT, but seriously lack the guy we truly desire so I could see us making a play on either one of these positions early in the draft. With this being said, here is my prediction for the upcoming draft. 1-10: Trade to Browns for 1-12, 4-108, 5-175 (Browns take Deshaun Watson) 1-12: Bills take OLB Ha'ason Reddick (With his athleticism, he'll fit any scheme. I project him to play the "Will" but will rush the passer often) 2-44: Bills take TE Evan Engram (Will be primarily a move TE with Clay / O'Leary filling most blocking duties) 3-75: Bills take CB Shaquill Griffin (Could start day 1. Physical, long armed, tackling CB) 4-108: Bills take DE Dawuane Smoot (More of a run defending DE, but would be thrown in rotation immediately) 5-156: Bills take WR Robert Davis (Had a great combine, but lacked production in college. Will play a role on special teams) 5-171 Bills take CB Brian Allen (Another combine freak. Could push for playing time, but needs a lot of work) 5-175 Bills take WR Levonte "Kermit" Whitfield (Kermit provides insurance to Listenbee, and is also a great return man) 6-195 Bills take OL Jerry Ugokwe (McDermott likes this kids potential as well as the school he comes from) Well there you have it. As you can see there are no QBs taken this year, but the Bills will surely add one via free agency after the draft. The Bills will also sign a few more pass rushers and LBs as well. GO BILLS!
  3. McDermott will not sign off on Foster with his off-field antics. I do really like Foster though, but just don't see any "character issue" guys being drafted by us this year.

  10. The AFC East has had some beginners luck over the past few seasons with Adam Gase and Todd Bowels, so I'm going to go with 11-5.
  11. I literally just posted this in another thread. I don't think the NFL is going to move any more teams. They want to expand into other countries. In my opinion, the NFL wants a "World" type division that would be in Mexico, Toronto, London, and possibly China. The NFL has played in the first three cities, but keep hitting snags in China. They might think China is a bit too far for a divisional game with either Mexico or Toronto, so another candidate may be in play for the fourth "World" team.
  12. The NFL has backed off because they are losing business with all of these moves. The idea for the NFL in "my opinion" is to expand the league by creating new teams rather than moving them. In order to do so, they would need multiple new teams to even out the divisions. With the NFL playing games in London, Toronto, Mexico, and soon in China, I can see a new "World" division coming together. I believe China would be too far, which is why the NFL has backed off from that idea. But, I do believe the NFL has a strong desire to expand in those countries rather than moving a team there.
  13. I guess I missed something with this guy...please elaborate.
  14. So, it looks like there is a possibility the Bills will pass up on TT if they fall in love with a QB at the combine or feel a veteran FA would be a better option. If we decide to draft a guy, I would love to see us land this guy. He seems like he could be a potential franchise QB. You can argue that Kizer, Trubisky, and Watson are the top three at the position and will most likely go in the first round, but I really like this Nathan Peterman guy in the second round. He seems like he would be a perfect fit in our new offensive system with his skillset, but most importantly, he has the ability to read across the field. Below is a write up from NFL.com: http://www.nfl.com/combine/profiles/nathan-peterman?id=2558191 If we do decide to settle on this guy, I am sure he will be there in the second round. So that gives us an opportunity to go after one of the top WR prospects or a replacement for Stephon Gilmore. I don't see us taking a Safety that high, but we could go after Reuben Foster if he lights up the combine and is still available. The later prospect would only be in play if McD doesn't think Preston Brown is capable in his scheme, and we don't re-sign Zach Brown.
  15. The Bills draft Willis McGahee in the 1st Rd while Pro Bowl back Travis Henry is on the roster. The Bills draft Marshawn Lynch in the 1st Rd while Willis McGahee is on the roster. The Bills draft CJ Spiller while Marshawn Lynch and Freddie Jackson is on the roster. And now for my prediction: The Bills draft Leonard Fournette in the first round while we have LeSean McCoy and Mike Gilleslee on the roster.
  16. Put him in some cleated stilettoes and he'll be 6'5"
  17. I love the idea of trading down, but if the Bills retain, Tyrod, Gillmore, and Z. Brown, then we should go for Reuben Foster. Especially if this kid blows up the combine. Ragland at Sam, Z. Brown at Will, and Foster at Mike. We would easily have the best LB core in the NFL and could take our defense back to what we were pre-Rex era. I wouldn't be nervous about safeties either. McDermott has had tremendous success with cast off safeties, which is exactly what we have.
  18. So you went back to dreaming about a 10? You obviously didn't know that you could keep drinking until they're a 10, right? If you only drink two beers, how could you ever reach that? I'd rather keep pounding them tall boys down until I see 10's across the board. I mean that's what the Pats did. Tom Brady was like a 1 coming out of college and is now a 10. I think the Pats followed my logic and kept drinking those tall boys for 15 years. And look they're still drunk.
  19. Put almost everyone on the trade block. Trade for only picks. Trade: Tyrod Taylor (2 Rd Pick), LeSaun McCoy (4 Rd Pick), Sammy Watkins (2 Rd Pick), Cordy Glenn (1 Rd Pick), Richie Incognito (4 Rd Pick), Charles Clay (5 Rd Pick), Eric Wood (5 Rd Pick), Jerry Hughes (4 Rd Pick), Marcel Dareus (1 Rd Pick), Preston Brown (4 Rd Pick), Nickel Robey (5 Rd Pick), and tag and trade Stephon Gilmore (1 Rd Pick) Do not trade: John Miller, Shaq Lawson, Reggie Ragland, Adolphus Washington, or Ronald Darby. Cut high priced players with no trade value Kyle Williams, Corey Graham, Aaron Williams, and Dan Carpenter Trade down a few spots at a time during the draft. Someone will drop a 2018 1 Rd pick to jump up to pick 10, and will swap 2017 1 Rd picks. Trade down a spot at a time accumulating later Rd picks. Completely trade out of round 1 and attempt to acquire top three picks in second round and trade for future 1 Rd picks. Stock pile picks. Should have close to 10 1st Rd picks between 2018 and 2019 In total, we should have close to 20 picks in both 2018 and 2019 Sign veterans to two year prove it deals Include team option on second year as well as cap friendly 2nd year trade clause. With the amount of picks stocked up, we can make a move for just about any QB in the league and still have enough picks left to build around him. The rookie, and veteran deals will also help with all of the dead cap space over the next few years.
  20. I think the Bills will move on from TT unless he restructures his deal. We may very well see us cut him and re-sign him once he tables other offers. I personally would rather move on to C. Jones in a west coast type of offense. You don't need a big arm in an offense like this, but would be a major asset in the colder months. We all saw how Peyton's lack of arm strength affected their game plan in the later months. I think we are solid with our RBs, but think we may move on from Felton and go without a true FB next year. In my opinion WR is our biggest whole. Woody will be way to expensive for us to retain and I think our free agency experiment last year was a total failure. We need some younger talent that can make plays with the ball in their hands. Sammy is the only guy we have that has play making ability after the catch. So with that being said, I think we will go after at least 2 WR's in the draft. I hope we don't trade up again, but we can never put that past Doug. I do see us going after D'Anthony Thomas if he is available. He would fill a few holes for us in the slot and as a return man. I think it is very important to have a strong return game. Field position is critical if you have a ground and pound style of offense. Although we have had little production from our TEs because of TTs ability to see over the middle, I see Clay and O'Leary playing a much bigger role in this system. We could also add a true blocking TE via FA or draft. I did a little more digging on Andy Reid's defense when Jim Johnson was his DC. It seems that he had more of a thumping LB corps rather than McDermott's with the Panthers. Obviously his defensive back coaching background has rubbed down to the LB level with one of the most athletic groups in the NFL. Now the Bills don't necessarily have that, but I can see him plugging in Ragland at Mike since he is very similar to what Jeremiah Trotter was back in Philly's system. Preston will almost certainly be the Sam (Not saying it will be a success), and Z. Brown / A.J. Kline will be the Will depending on how Free Agency turns out. I think the d-line is in fairly good shape, but we would need some more depth at DE. I could see us going after Charles Johnson if the price is right. We're set with our DT's unless we don't re-sign Corbin Bryant. I do think Gilmore will get the tag if we let Tyrod walk. McDermott's defense relies heavily on good CB play and good positioning by safeties. Philly's defense ran through Brian Dawkins so I wouldn't be surprised if the Bills go after a ball hawk in the draft. Maybe that would compensate for the lack of athleticism at the LB position. But, that's just a thought, I could be totally wrong. All together, I see us making a lot of changes, but don't see them as immediate improvements on the field.
  21. So, obviously we have a 17 year question mark at QB, but what about everything else? I heard through these blogs that our new OC runs a lot of 3 WR sets and hardly uses a FB. I also heard that he also runs a form of West Coast offense that incorporates a lot of short passes. Not sure how much of this is true, but how do you all see our offense changing in terms of personnel? As for the defensive side, obviously we will transition back to a 4-3, but will we see any changes to our front seven or secondary? Based off of what you all have shared and my general knowledge of McDermott and Frazier's' defense, they rely heavily on the front four to create pressure much like Schwartz's scheme. The only difference that I see is that our new scheme likes CBs with more length and range. So with that being said, will we see a lot of change on the defensive side as well? Lastly, I am no expert on any of these guys and their schemes so feel free to educate and critique as much as you'd like.
  22. Hey, rocket scientists can eat crayons and sniff glue just like the rest of us. lol
  23. I doubt they would re-name the trophy, but would probably name the "Coach of the Year" award the Belichick Trophy
  24. I am sorry for your loss. Danny, you, and your family will be in my prayers.
  25. Can't believe no one has mentioned Matt Hasselbeck from Green Bay to Seattle.
