  1. Not embarrassed. When I lived in DC area, I was almost always greeted by another fan. It's amazing how many out of town Bills fans there are. Data showing the out -of-town followers and ranking teams would be interesting.
  2. 65 winter 72 summer I get away with low temps because the system is unbalanced: 65 at the thermostat gives me about 68 in the bedrooms.
  3. She'll get a light sentence, that seems to be the trend. Then it's conjugal visits!
  4. Bean.. the witch.. has filled roster holes in FA. That allows for drafting the cliche Best Player Available, regardless of position. That's a luxurious position the Bills haven't had in God knows how long.
  5. Interesting that a mobster chose to live in Staten Island. Every other resident there is a NYPD officer.
  6. I like New England Clam Chowder. My favorite soup joke: Elaine: Yeah. I met this lawyer, we went out to dinner, I had the lobster bisque, we went back to my place, yada yada yada, I never heard from him again. Jerry: But you yada yada'd over the best part. Elaine: No, I mentioned the bisque.
  7. PTSD alert for us ancients: I haven't forgiven John Y Brown since he moved the Braves out of town.
  8. Nothing political with this move. Totally apolitical. Nothing to see. Move along people. /sarc
  9. When I worked, my employer vigorously monitored internet traffic. A posting here would certainly get you a stern phone call from the IT department. The outbound firewall had a very extensive list of blocked addresses. I wouldn't be surprised if TBD was blocked. I know places such as ESPN were blocked.
  10. I think some of what you said actually transpired. But I seriously doubt Brandon was out to seriously toy with anybody. One GM trolling another would be anathema to that Gentlemen's Club known as NFL GMs. Brandon Beane seems to be onboard with the Gentlemen's Club--I doubt he wants the reputation of being a trickster. Buffalo has enough problems attracting players---compounding that problem be being a shady dealer would not be a good business decision.
  11. A very good show on it's own. But I also enjoyed watching because my father and grandfather worked in Manhattan in the 1950/60s--the show is very accurate to the era.
  12. Police: AZ Teacher Had Sex with Teen in Classroom, Other Student Watched She'd look hot in a Bills jersey on game day. Alas.. she's demented.
  13. What a kind hearted open soul you are.
  14. Two things standout here. A trip to Dubai is a gift? Dubai? Prosecco is her drink of choice (gross).
  15. CFL is a mystery to me. It appears the CFL central office is part of all player contracts--very different from the NFL where players are contracted solely to teams. If the "conditions" Manziel violated were related to mental health treatment--I hope he gets his act together. Going through life as untreated bipolar (my suspicion) only leads to living on the streets.
  16. I want a smoker! I have a pressure cooker. I start my ribs in the pressure cooker then finish them in the oven. They are great, but I'm sure finishing them in a smoker would be even better. I'd especially like a Traeger brand pellet smoker. I've had the chance to eat a roast from a Traeger and it was fantastic.
  17. All I got when I was hired was a golden shower clause. Not looking forward to termination..
  18. These firings have zero, zip, nada to do with what is on the field, or on the ice. There is nothing here of concern to the sports fan. Convince me otherwise.
  19. In that case, it's your neighbors responsibility to hire a good tree man to climb up there and prune it well. I had an oak tree like that. I hired a tree man to give it a good trim. I'm sure that investment saved me a fallen limb and angry neighbor.
  20. If they are Maples as you say, you're in good shape. They have huge root systems underground, very unlikely to collapse. The trees to look out for are Evergreens. They have tiny root balls underground.
  21. Luckily... As long as Kim and Terry remain married, I expect no prostitution charges against either of them. PS: they seem the type to remained married until death do us part. PS 2: I never ever expect prostitution charges against them ever.
  22. Well played.. That's what Robert Kraft said. Otherwise the message to the rest of us: if you're going to be drunk on a plane, be a mellow drunk, or else you're going to be kicked off.
