  1. It looks like an uphill battle fore dome lovers. Terry Pegula, from today's Buffalo News as quoted on the front page of TBD: I'd post more but I am "limit reached" with the news.
  2. Theory 1: He could be a starter on 4 or 5 bottom teams this season. He could be a 2nd QB on any team.. The rub: he's asking Top-15 starter money (20 million). This does not lead to a contract. Theory 2:
  3. Greeting: Hey Norm, what's shaking? Norm: Four cheeks and a couple chins.
  4. From his interviews, I gather that despite all the places he has played, he still holds an affinity for Buffalo. He once said that leaving Buffalo was very hard on his kids. I don't know if they still feel that way. Has Fitzy ever won a playoff game?
  5. He's got that special quality: he's very coachable and he has a high ceiling. Not all players are coachable and many are at their ceiling soon after being drafted.
  6. Reintroduction of Popeyes Chicken Sandwich Ties Up Route 7 Traffic The article told me enough that the Popeye's experience is mediocre: dude left without a sandwich after a 30 minute wait.. when you go to Cheek CFA.. you're getting the goods, within 10 minutes when they are busy crispy chicken... if I wanted crispy I'll order deep fried breading. CFA has the right amount of breading. sauce.. If I wanted sauce I'll order it. I like the CFA sandwich which is nude but you can add CFA sauce, or mayo Having flamed Popeyes, I still say I like the place and will find some satisfaction in the sandwich. It's just not going to supplant CFA as my goto. I lived in MD, twice. It's a rough place. ...and the drivers, forget about it. We need to send in Special Forces to extract SDS.
  7. This phenomena of the national media ignoring the Bills has been going on since the AFL/NFL merger. The only time the Bills were covered fairly was during the Superbowl runs when we were beating the snot out of everybody. We start kicking A out of all comers.. like the Ravens and the Cowboys, then media coverage will pickup.
  8. Yes. And Deadspin's parent company recognized the problem. So the parent company came out with an edict "Do write unless it's about sports, no non-sports content is allowed." So all the pansy writers and editors just up and quit. I think they thought they could blackmail the company to allow politics again. https://www.thedailybeast.com/deadspin-staff-resigns-en-masse-amid-revolt-over-sports-only-policy?via=twitter_page
  9. It was the best of times, it was the worst of times... Charles Dickens. Seriously: I felt confident about the Eagles game last week and we got slaughtered. Lesson learned. I'm not letting this news of a scrub Redskins QB starting give me premonitions of 6-2.
  10. Yeah he would. I read about his high school wrestling exploits. The National Prep School Champion was an animal.
  11. No. Contrary, with some exceptions, the OL has done well in the physicality department. The DL isn't the most physical in the league but I don't attribute that to coach demeanor... I think the DL is lighter weight than average and geared for speed and technique rather than an in your face slugfest.
  12. Yes. Terry and Kim conducted a wide survey. Many here participated. They haven't released the results yet. But the structure of the questions will provide the data you are looking for if it is ever released. I suspect we'll find people talk a good bluster when it comes to stadium quality and cost; but when the rubber hits the road and translates into higher ticket costs and/or PSLs.. people will back off. Before you know it, the Bills are playing at All High Stadium.
  13. In one game we went from "How do we keep Leslie Frazier" and "How do we keep Daboll" to "How does McD survive the year" This place is funny.
  14. Modern open air stadium, with some shelter, at the current Orchard Park site is option 1A. Realistic financially. True to roots. Option 1B is a dome at the current site in OP: acceptable. Is a stretch as to who is paying. A dome downtown = unacceptable. Unrealistic financially. Folly.
  15. Aldi.. Aldi.. Aldi.. all day. I only go to Wegmans for those obscure ingredients that Aldi doesn't carry.
  16. I'll backpedal on the 20 blowouts. I estimate 10 losses were spankings. The Bills had a string of blowouts last season alone. I consider the Eagles game a blowout. I'm guessing 10 career losses were fairly close.
  17. 20-19 regular season, plus 1 playoff loss. Like I said: 40 games into his career.
  18. He's coached 40 games in his career. 20 were blowout losses. The dude needs a mentor.
  19. The talking heads say a McDermott coached team will be prepared, regardless of circumstance or opponents. I'm just not buying it. To twist a phrase from High School Musical: they didn't have their head in the game. Who knows, it could be a bye week phenomena. But I suspect it's failure of the coaching staff to keep the players humbled and hungry after their recent successes. McD is now a .500 coach. But the losses are fugly and reflect poorly on team preparation.
  20. Yep. Contrast our situation with that of the LA Rams and the King's ransom they paid for Jalen Ramsey. The Rams see themselves as elite and are obviously are trying to win now. Personally, I see the Bills in a better drivers seat.. winning now burns your future.
  21. Depends on his contract. If written old school Daboll's rights can be traded. But the new school generic coaches contracts are written as personal services contacts to the owner and close the door on tradeability. Your mileage may vary.
  22. Anger is done. Looking forward... I did my time in NOVA. I have family and friends who are Skins fans. Leslie Frazier has a week to figure out what he did wrong. See, no anger.
  23. Is anyone's Fios on the fritz in the Buffalo area? My screen keeps blanking out.
