  1. Belichick jettisons players before they hit their peak. The one exception is Brady. Brady is past his peak and his still around. Why? The great Garoppolo was standing in the wings ready to go. I believe Brady is still around because Kraft made him untouchable. I believe Belichick was ready to move on from the Brady era and into the Garoppolo era last season. But Kraft stepped in and made Brady untouchable which forced Belichick into a trade with SFO. Some reports from the period painted Brady as very insecure about Garoppolo---and suggest that Brady lobbied Kraft to get Garoppolo traded. Believable. Yes. The Patsies do have a Tom Brady problem, and it's their own fault.
  2. Ya.. I'd like to see more of the Duke. He's a big fella. Apparently the strike against Duke is he's not versatile. In other words, he can't contribute to special teams. Cusp players break into the roster by being able to make a special teams contribution.
  3. Reminds me a of a story... A December game against the Fish. My young daughter didn't dress appropriately (my fault for not supervising). It was snowing heavily and very cold. She starts crying, I think she's getting frostbite. It's time to leave or else I'll get prosecuted for bad parenting. I ended up carrying her on my back to the car, which by the grace of God I found right away. We ended up watching the game at a nearby Dickies Donuts. We slaughtered the Fish. Moral of the story: over-dress the kiddos. Or you may miss an epic game.
  4. You have to let a nickname spontaneously happen. You can't assign one.
  5. Bruce can tell a tale.. glad to see him spend sometime with TW. Video reminded me of Bruce discussing spaghetti parmesan. Bruce can mug for the camera like a Hall of Famer.
  6. Like OP, there was a time in my life that Buffalo insults used to bother me greatly. But now, insults don't bother me at all. I even laugh at the good ones. I don't know what made me become less sensitive, I guess age mellows one out.
  7. I'd like a dome if they could play more concerts in it. It lures in money from out of town. A dome for ten games a year (including the preseason) just won't cut it.
  8. Clicking on tinyurl.com can be risky business, especially with the TBD Peter Pan gag that pops up now and then. But I took the risk and clicked through and was not disappointed.
  9. Given his current legal troubles, Chad is right up there with Johnny Manziel... In Latin: Douchebagus Supremus. They have no quan for a decent civilian career. I'm sure they'll do well working at the Boost Mobile kiosk.
  10. I'm having premonitions that the next loss won't be Ravens. The fanbase is pumped and the Ravens will be visiting a bee hive.
  11. I heard that same sentiment on the WGR post game show.
  12. I'm so glad fans don't run the team.
  13. The network didn't give it a lot of coverage, so I look forward to the Youtube replay of it. I want to see it frame by frame, over and over. UPDATE: found it.. Twitter: Allen fumble and recovery
  14. While we're playing missing persons: has anyone here seen Mike Hunt? I forgot what movie that is.
  15. I had an AMC Gremlin with a histrionic transmission. On the floor four. Ran great when it was in a good mood.
  16. 6 pages in. I'm buying the OP a drink. Love that enthusiasm, and besides-he may be right.
  17. Cody done good. Those who believe otherwise -- thank you for not being my parent in little league/
  18. Now is Duke's chance if their ever was one.
  19. You can't end a discussion here. You're not our parent.
  20. Funny.. how the Patriots replaced the Dolphins as the Bills nemesis. I guess two decades of domination would do that.
  21. Nice read. It reminded me that Josh is still a work in progress. Some of us fans need to remember that -- he isn't a savvy polished veteran, and expecting him to be one at this point is expecting too much.
  22. It's as bad, if not worse than the atrocity known as QB depth.
  23. I think their analytics is done during the week and focuses on bigger questions than forth and goal. I suspect there is not a game day analytics operation that works on a down by down basis. Nice work on the analysis. I didn't know Minitab was still a thing. I thought everybody moved to R. I used Minitab decades ago in a quality assurance application.
