They may be hopeless in their own playoff seeding. But they are well positioned to be the spoiler for the Bills and the Dolphins. The game in Foxboro will be a mini-playoff game. Miami's schedule has only two losses left: KC, Bills, Patsies ... pick two. 8-3 looks pretty haughty today. But this will be a slugfest until the end of the season.

I don't know about you. But I didn't find the game put away until the final buzzer. A late TD plus an onside kick would have been heart stopping, because the Bills D was porous at that point. Admit it: who wasn't thinking Cardinals 2.0 when that hail mary was caught?

After today's lukewarm effort from the Bills, won in the final seconds: I'd say it's a toss up who wins the division. Miami is doing well. I could imagine them tieing us for the lead in the next few weeks. Then the final game of the season will be the decision maker.

I became a Bills fan at 18. Just in time according to demographers. It was back in the day of when if 80,000 seats didn't sell out by Thursday, the game wasn't on TV. So a good portion of my football knowledge came from listening to Van Miller. Back to OP.. declining fans is a problem. NFL teams spend money like a drunken sailor, supported by an addiction to the TV contract. When fans decline the teams need other revenue. Right now there isn't much discussion of expansion but there will be in the future.

The QB is critical, but how you handle it comes down to money. Aaron Rodgers is drawing big bucks all-Star QB money. That has a negative impact on the player quality he can be surrounded with. It's not that the Green Bay GM failed to add those magical pieces that causes GB fans to complain, it's that he couldn't afford to. On the flipside is Josh Allen. He's on his cheap rookie contract. That gave Beane the checkbook power to surround him with Class A talent. When Josh Allen gets expensive, and he will, Bills fans will be sitting back and complaining Beane isn't surrounding Allen with talent. I figure this moment is three years +/- away. One of the things that can save you from the money trap is excellent drafting. So far, Beane looks like an average drafter.
