It's not that it's outdated, it's literally falling apart. The upper deck is going to have to come off and be rebuilt in 5 years.

They totally gutted it and rebuilt it except for the facade of the building and played at U of Illinois for an entire season but don't let that stop you. That reno cost 655 million dollars in 2002. Converting that to 2021 money you come up with 993 million. I'm not seeing the massive cost savings.

They aren't magic, it's there to brace for instability. If he has a history of elbow dislocation the brace can help, but it's not going to fix the underlying instability.
