I think so. There was a lot of beer drunk that day so specific memories are fuzzy. 😂 -

I remember going there to watch the Bisons with my dad in I guess 1985? Steve Christmas, Darryl Boston, Joe DeSa, and Jerry Don Gleaton were on that team. The Butcher catching foul balls that rolled off the net. My introduction to The Earl of Bud! I can continue if you'd like. lol Randall Cunningham would be ridiculous in the modern NFL and Buddy Ryan's treatment of offense was criminally bad even at the time. -

Houston comeback game. Dad wanted to leave. You never leave. The time in the summer of 1989 that my grandfather took me to pick-a-seat day to buy my own season ticket, sitting all by myself, 4 rows behind the rest of the family. He called my Dad at work at work and talked him into it, I swore to every deity I could think of that I would pay for it myself, and Dad agreed - somewhat reluctantly. I had my own ticket from 1989-1995 and cut a ton of grass and shoveled more snow than I ever want to think about shoveling again. That worked out well. AFCCG v. Raiders 3TDs in 77 seconds v. Denver Bills/Dolphins 9/14/2014 - first game after they announced Pegula was buying the team and they wouldn't be moving away. I don't live in WNY anymore and it wasn't in the plans to go to that game but when that announcement was made the whole family felt like we had to go. Also the first game I brought my then 8 year old son to. He lost his mind when Spiller had the KO return for a TD. I responded to some thing for the Buffalo News asking why the team was important to you or some such and they called me on the phone and asked some questions. I told them the story from #2 and some stories from being a young kid sitting by himself in a pretty wild place at a wild time and they put it in the paper so that was kinda neat. Bills/Cowboys November 18, 1984 - I was 6, the team was terrible, and I was only able to go to games that year because they were so bad my mother didn't want to go so Dad took me. They won that day when they weren't supposed to and hadn't won a game all year. It felt like the best thing in the world. In retrospect, my Dad is/was pretty cool for letting me do that. November 18, 2001 - Jim Kelly Wall of Fame day. The first time I brought my wife, then girlfriend, to the stadium. I drank WAY too much, the Bills lost to a long Rian Lindell FG for the Seahawks, and it was the day I knew I found the right girl. 2024-25 playoffs v. Denver. My now wife and my Dad and my younger son came. Dad wasn't really a tailgate guy when I was a kid so I made him try it now that he's old. Did ski shots with my 74 year old father in somebody's driveway. The homeowner was dressed like a referee and throwing flags at Broncos fans. If that was you, thank you. Bills/Raiders Divisional Round, January 1994. Air temp 0, -32 wind chill. I never felt cold that day. Bills/Phoenix 1990: It was raining, sleeting, and blowing what felt like easily 30mph. I got wet almost right away, stayed wet the whole game, and froze my ever loving ass off. The sleet was moving across the field in sheets in the 4th quarter and I was shielding my face with my hands because it felt like getting sandblasted. I'm going this week with my Mom, Dad and 15 year old son and I'm trying to go to the Eagles game and Jets game also. I really want to sit in my former seat for the Jets game. I got close to it for the Saints game but not quite. I need to walk over to 311 this Sunday and see what the new number is on my seat. I thought I knew what it was but I was wrong. It used to be M6, row 10, seat 111. My family had M5 (the sections used to split in the middle of the section for you youngins - it confused the hell out of people), row 6, seats 7, 8, and 9. Anyhoo. Na'zdrowie and Go Bills! You aren't the only one with a similar plan my friend. -
Its OK for the Bills to be a run-first team

Allen can be an absolutely devastating play action passer if they set him up for success and actually do it properly. The defense has to play the run with the rb, the run with Allen, and the pass. Puts a lot of players in tough spots. -
Game week thread - Bills at Steelers

If they go into this game v a team that likes to blitz a lot, with two backup tackles, and have a pass heavy game plan, Brady needs to be fired on the sideline. -
And those teams underachieved too and Reids refusal to run the ball and God awful clock management were frequently the problem in big games. He needed to be fired by the end and he fixed some of his issues when he came back. It also helped that Mahomes is better than McNabb. Coincidentally his Eagle teams also grossly underinvested at WR for most of his tenure, then went and got TO and actually made the Super Bowl. Unfortunately for them, TO got hurt and Donovan was barfing on the field. And though this isn't directed at you, I will also point out the Eagles have won 2 Super Bowls since firing Reid, with two different coaches. The constants have been Howie Roseman and Jeffrey Lurie. Has Beane been able to construct the teams that Roseman has? The Eagles are playing like crap right now and their roster is still better than the Bills. Sirianni was under fire early last year and obviously got it together but they are back off the rails again and people are pissed. He could 100 percent be fired and Roseman wouldnt think twice about it because he's already fired a SB winning coach and replaced him with another SB winner. The change will be made if it needs to be. Meanwhile, in Buffalo, McBeane will go on forever whether they ever win anything important or not.

And there it is. Don't dare to criticize Lord Terrence. Without him we'd have no teams at all! How dare we question his wisdom and benevolence! Like I said, he doesn't know how to do better so he's afraid to try. These guys have carte blanche until Allen retires and Allen will be one of those guys with ridiculous stats and no titles because they wasted him. Oh, by the way, he just hurt his throwing elbow for at least the third time. Will he miss time? No. Does your UCL like that sort of abuse? No. Is it shortening his career every time his elbow gets hurt that way? Yes it is. And yeah, this team has underachieved and actively got worse this year. The defense is unwatchably bad and the offense is equally horrendous against any team with a semblance of a pass rush. The offensive coordinator got a vote of confidence mid season when most would have gotten fired and the defensive coordinator is a nepo baby who can't coordinate his way out of a wet paper bag without Sean's help and even with that they still suck. But yeah, they primed this squad for a title run this year. No mismanagement at all. Just a run of bad luck. It'll be fine next year.

They made the playoffs ina. Year their brain trust intentionally started Nathan Peterman after trading away Mahomes. Yes. Be proud. Terry was the difference there all along. And there's nothing to hide from I'm extremely pissed off at how bad the Sabres are. I don't watch hockey at all anymore they've been so bad for so long. I'm also not going to wash Terry's undercarriage for doing what a trained monkey with a checkbook could have done with Josh Allen. The football team has underachieved for several years and now frankly isn't very good anymore. Sure they still win some and are better than the halcyon days of Gregg Williams but they aren't winning more this year than last and I struggle to see how the leadership has set them up for better success next year. They went all in and messed it up. This year is one and done at best and it's not just because they didn't sign any wide receivers this year.

The only part of this team that is worlds better since Terry bought it is the quarterback. Drop Josh Allen onto any number of the drought teams with great defenses and weapons but no QB and they'd be at least as successful as this team. Playoffs, no championships, no Super Bowl appearances. Give Allen Lee Evans, Eric Moulds and Peerless Price with Travis Henry to hand off to. No playoffs? How about with a defense that sacks opposing QBs 65 times in a year? Or Jim Schwartz's defense that Terry hired Rex to throw away. Allen is the difference. Not Terry.

Beane and McDemott were not his first hires and if you recall he hired McDermott first then Beane which is highly unusual. Then the chosen group traded away Patrick Mahomes. They got very fortunate with Allen the following year and how gone through a revolving door at offensive coordinator since because his chosen coach can't figure it out. From his perspective Terry got lucky with the football team and is now afraid to touch it. He did everything wrong with the hockey team and has given up. Beane and McDermott have jobs for life. It makes no difference how bad they mess up drafts or how badly they mishandle the talent around Allen. Neither one will be fired. Ever.
