  1. If he can learn that easily, why has he not learned it. Dude was a 5th year senior.
  2. The individual goal songs are a perfect symbol for this team. Individual stats, no team unity.
  3. The rink is a morgue because there is no faith. Nor should there be. The team was terrible at home for a long time this year and if they gave up the first goal they only came back to win 6 times. In January it was only once. They were something like 1-11 if they got scored on first at home at that point. They ended up 6-15. They were better at home later in the year but by that point they'd already burned any good will or hope the fans had. They need to show people they are for real before people buy back in. It's just been too long at this point. I used to get nice tickets for Sabres/Flyers games in Philly from a business associate. I've stopped asking for them. They are a waste of time. History says this nostalgia hire is a tremendous mistake. The odds of a Terry team bucking history are low.
  4. Has there ever been a situation where the second go round with a coach has been better than the first? I can't think of any off hand.
  5. I'm confused. Am I supposed to support this statement or not?
  6. Because you get invited into a really exclusive group and it puts you at the front of a very short line to get the chance to be a majority owner in the future. Jimmy Haslam was a minority owner of the Steelers before he was allowed to buy the Browns.
  7. This has happened so many more times than this with prop betting. They just haven't caught people. The only way they caught this guy is because he's such a fringe player that the betting activity was easy to spot. If it were a more popular player, for example Calvin Ridley, who already has more money placed in his props, it would be much harder to catch. Betting is out of the bag, but these prop bets need to go away. It's way too easy for an individual person to control the outcome to a prop bet on something that specific person does in a game. It's hard to fix a whole game without a conspiracy. It's easy to drop a pass to keep yourself from scoring, or from going over a specific number of catches, etc. Super easy. I realize that some will say why do it? They have so much to lose. People have problems and also get themselves into situations where they are vulnerable to outside control. That's why they do it.
  8. So, not just red helmet. Red helmet with blue facemask. It's a bold statement. That the designer couldn't understand how to have the tops and the pants have the same pattern of stripe on the side still boggles my mind. Those were absolute clown suits.
  9. Yeahhhhh, but Josh with a guy who can and will just go get the football has to be intriguing.
  10. For the record, I haven't liked Miller since the first day they signed him.
  11. All time? Not that he's a good dude by any stretch, but he's not making the bad person HoF.
  12. Game last night started at 930 on a work night. Didn't watch a minute of it.
  13. Keep arguing. He's paid like a top half TE1 with a TE2 role.
  14. In his defense they were stopping every car on that sidewalk, and that ain't legal. He got pardoned by the Governor, so I don't think so.
  15. You can't give Knox a 1 v 1 blocking assignment consistently and expect him to win. This is a problem for your #2 TE. You can have 1 TE like that. You can't have 2 because then it forces you to carry a third that only blocks or to use an offensive lineman in that role who obviously doesn't run routes and it makes your offense predictable. They drafted Kincaid to do what they paid Knox to do which made Knox irrelevant. This would be fine if his salary weren't what it is or if his contract weren't structured the way it is. As it stands Knox about 3 quarters of Knox's salary is dead money.
  16. He gets paid like one of the best of the best. He's not a good blocker and his receiving role has been supplanted by Kincaid. You don't need to pay a guy that much to chip DEs.
  17. I said on a good team. He played for the Raiders and the Falcons. He caught 18 passes last year. I don't think that's a #2 WR even on a bad team. Hollins has caught 131 passes in his entire 6 year career. 57 of of those came in his one season with the Raiders who were so impressed with him that they let him walk after the year. Maybe he had a huge offer the Raiders didn't want to match? Nope. 1 year 2.5 million, less than a million guaranteed. Apart from that 1 year with the Raiders, Hollins has played with 3 other teams over a 5 year span. He averaged 15 (14.8) catches a season for those other 5 years. 16, 10, 16, 14, and 18. Why anyone thinks he's going to suddenly break out at age 30 and deliver WR2 productivity is beyond my comprehension.
  18. Using him as help for Spencer Brown isn't the same thing as using him as an actual blocker.
  19. Didn't want to pay Oakland the severance fee or be compelled to sell their stake in the property. Frankly I don't think Oakland really wanted them to stay at this point which was the purpose of the middle finger fee. I know it was a long time ago, but Oakland stole this team from Kansas City, who stole it from Philadelphia, both times in shady fashion. Karma will work its way back to you.
  20. I'm pretty sure the other 31 teams already have functioning turnstiles at their facilities but it doesn't hurt to ask I suppose.
