  1. Trying to switch states because this one is a mess.
  2. Unfortunately I'm sort of stuck. I don't want to go higher up the food chain because that situation is worse and I can't really switch career paths at the moment so I just continue to go in and try not to hate it. There have definitely been some "business decisions" about what I will and won't do anymore though. Particularly about unpaid extras. I'm trying to switch locations if I can. It might not be better, but it will at least be different.
  3. I'm with you. It was a luxury pick at the time and he's not any of what we were told he was.
  4. At my job? Yes. That is why people are leaving my profession in droves. My job used to be a respected position in the community where we were relatively well paid and held in high esteem. Now we are a public punching bag.
  5. Gotta go where the people are. Going to a hotel bar isn't the same as getting raving drunk at a hotel bar. The ability for a 20 something to go out in a social setting where alcohol is present and act appropriately demonstrates maturity that many can't.
  6. Networking is really smart and you need to go where the people you want to meet are to do it. At the combine, the hotel bar is exactly where those people are. I bet this would 100% work with McBeane and a bunch of other people. It shows confidence and it gives you an opportunity to get even a little bit of face to face time with people who would normally be inaccessible.
  7. Exactly. And nobody got beaten.
  8. I didn't intend to break the ottoman. I stood up with my hands over my head in anticipation of the TD then reflexively hulk smashed the absolute ***** out the ottoman when Stevie discovered there is no God. I was at that game too. I was 6.
  9. My Stevie Johnson go-to memory is him dropping that ball v. Pittsburgh. An ottoman died an unexpected death that day.
  10. I'm kind of amazed that this story didn't end with the husband getting arrested for anything. A lineman gets home late at night from his difficult and very dangerous job to see that going on and nobody got assaulted or killed? I'm not sure if I'm proud of the guy or disappointed. This was step-mom, which gives me all sorts of follow-up questions about bio-mom and how THAT situation went down. Dad had custody which, in this country, usually means Mom is a complete hot mess. So this was attempt #2 and it works out this way. I dunno bro, maybe women just aren't for you.
  11. Why is it so often from Florida? https://nypost.com/2025/04/30/us-news/florida-nurse-caught-by-husband-having-sex-with-her-15-year-old-stepson-loses-medical-license-report/?dicbo=v2-rqEhpPL
  12. It's like most things, they aren't inherently dangerous, but they are to be respected as something that CAN hurt you. Others have pointed out situations that can hurt you even if you aren't being deliberately reckless. Particularly if it's not a well maintained, or a deliberately modified, example.
  13. Live trapping is an option but only if, as you said you keep doing it, and then also act as squirrel Uber driving them far away. The other issue with live trapping is you can catch stuff you don't want to catch. Like skunks. And yes I've shot squirrels with a pellet gun. It's not easy but it's about how you want to spend your time. Do you want to set a trap and walk away or sit near your tree with a couple beers and wait? You can always do both with the pellet gun being more recreational. There's obviously not an easy solution or it would already exist. The tree owner needs to decide how much they care about the fruit. If they care they need to choose one of the few available options for a neighborhood. Trying to permanently thin the squirrel population is the most effective however they go about doing it. If they don't care that much they need to let it go. I'd love to grow some fruit trees and berry bushes but between the birds and squirrels and deer there's no realistic way for me to do it so I planted some raspberries and blackberries in the woods instead and just let the deer have them. I'll go out and try to harvest some and I usually only get what they can't reach which isn't a lot.
  14. It's because the other stuff doesn't work. If there was a passive way they could keep the animals off their crops they'd do it. Squirrels give zero Fs. Any sort of fence or guard or block you put up becomes a puzzle for them to solve and they enjoy solving it. If you don't want to shoot them or can't because of neighborhood proximity issues (though a pellet gun can take down a squirrel with no trouble) then I'd suggest trying to trap them and not to waste your time with live traps. Why not a live trap? 2 reasons, First, it's usually illegally to move an animal off your land onto other land or onto public land so what are you going to do with it? Second, you have to open the trap, the squirrel will be pissed and you're not interested in a trip to the doctor with bites and scratches from a wild rodent. If it's not worth it for the tree worth of fruit, that is probably worth more than you think it is, just let the squirrels eat it.
  15. I have a lot of questions. There is a reason that farmers shoot wildlife year round.
  16. Unpopular opinion, leave my holidays alone.
  17. Gross on several levels. First regular season game at that stadium was v. the Jets, they wouldn't put the Jets on primetime Christmas night would they? Nahhh. You know which game it will be? Bills v. Eagles. Why? Because that's the game I want to go to this year and it will completely F that plan.
  18. It's the problem with a lot of guys and I don't understand why teams don't insist that players run and do agility drills in pads and helmets. "The players will then choose not to run" Well....that might be the case and it's the case today anyway, but most players will not make that choice.
  19. There are guys who have to try harder than others to run fast. Are you track fast or football fast? Meaning, are you fast when you are doing something else at the same time or only when you are trying to run fast?
  20. Other teams didn't want to foot the bill for the freight charges.
  21. Because he could run to the podium from the green room and arrive on Wednesday.
