  1. I'm skeptical that Coleman will ever amount to any more than James Hardy 2.0. He's got the size and is athletic, but maybe he is better suited to basketball. He's dropped several. Other than a few jump balls, I can't think of any instances in which he made a contested catch or one that was slightly behind where he had to use more concentration. The Bills still need an elite # 1 wideout to put this offense into the stratosphere.
  2. I feel the same way, considering the anticipated outcome for 2024 prior to the start of the season. The Bills have far exceeded expectations. Yes, we will be disappointed if they fail to win it all, but I can't honestly say it could be viewed as a failed season. When the schedule was released last May and we saw the gauntlet of top teams they'd face, how many fans actually thought there was much chance of having double-digit wins and securing the division title by early December? And in 2025, with a stockpile of draft picks they can bundle to either move up, or just target good prospects they can coach up. Hopefully, they'll be able to plug some of the holes. Would love to see Josh get an elite WR and find a wide-body athletic DT disrupter to man the middle of the D-line and reinforce the run D. Could use another corner. Expect Mr. Inactive, Elam to be gone. Additionally, they'll have greater ability to sign free agents with more available cap money. BTW - Buffalo has become an attractive destination for free agents looking to be part of a championship team. If they manage to win a Super Bowl, it will be a real Cinderella story. It would sure make for a great real life feel-good movie highlighting the path of Buffalo Joe, ending with a Bass 47-yard FG to win the Super Bowl. 🙂 Whatever happens, I'll look back on the 2024 season that gave us a lot of joy.
  3. Those shorts remind me of some of the idiotic artsy films that came out in the late 60s made by drugged out film students. Images and ideas skipped all over the place, providing minimal entertainment value unless the viewer was on the same wavelength and chemicals. It's only my opinion, but the shorts don't seem to make much sense. Maybe I need a hit of orange sunshine to appreciate them. I'll pass.
  4. If that ADD-inspired bizarro nonsensical content is appealing to the under-21 Gen Z audience, the mental acuity needed to appreciate it may explain the sub par service and products we frequently get at fast food restaurants these days.
  5. I wanted to post this. Thanks for beating me to it
  6. It’s great to hear local Bills’ talk. I listen to One Bills Live on my 20 min drives to and from work. But why is it half the faceless callers i imagine as bald whiskey-nosed retirees sitting in their dreary basement bar, drinking Utica Club, farting, and bellowing through their deviated septums about how they’ve been a fan since the days of Kemp and Sestak. The other half sound like they have some speech impediment? It’s usually the same 4 or 5 callers. To their credit, Brown and Tasker are exceptionally gracious with callers.
  7. Well, the Bills interrupted LB Klein’s vacation to suit him up for the divisional game last season. At least Hyde has been participating in practice, so it’s not as if he’s unfamiliar with the schemes and his teammates.
  8. Tim McVeigh. Maybe Mark David Chapman, now that he’s a local in Alden, NY.
  9. Well, there you go! Hire Belichick and start planning the parade. No chance of mutiny by the players- you know the same loyal ones who came to McDs defense by winning 7 straight games after a writer dragged the coach in one of his columns. Does Belichick bring in McDaniels and the rest of his old NE staff, or does Joe Brady, Kromer, Babich and the rest of the staff send McD off with a one-finger salute while pinning their career onto the aging (aged) ex-Patriots coach? The level of stupidity is remarkable.
  10. I don’t dispute that Belichick has a brilliant defensive mind, but the reality is that his head coaching record without Brady is very average 82-97, a winning percentage of .463, far below McDermott’s win percentage. And oh yeah, zero Super Bowl appearances without Brady. Brady is arguably the GOAT. Josh was a raw prospect who needed some refining, and is now starting to show the maturity needed to be one of the best. Could the Bills win the Super Bowl with Josh and Belichick? I don’t know. I don’t really need to find out if hiring a 72-year-old coach to start over is a great idea. SMH
  11. Ok genius. Put on your GM hat. Who’s your new hire as Bills coach? Do you have an actual solution or are you just a whiner who’s all butt-hurt because your Bills lose in the playoff.
  12. I think some of you don’t have a grasp on the difficulty of getting to, let alone winning a Super Bowl. There are several NFL coaches who have made Super Bowl appearances, some of whom have a Lombardi in the display case. McVay, Harbaugh, Payton, Tomlin among them. All great coaches, but multiple Super Bowl wins have been elusive. Did they suddenly suck at coaching? Every year there are several outstanding coaches, some whom make the playoffs and some who don’t. Winning the big game is having everything come together in ‘the perfect storm’. Coach, QB, GM, draft choices who contribute, and sometimes a little luck with the bounce of that weird ball. As a Bills’ fan, the last thing I’d want is an owner with a knee jerk reaction that would fire a coach like McDermott, only to start from scratch by gambling on another, probably with less experience. That’s a great recipe for a revolving door of coaches (and players) that get changed out every 2 or 3 years and brings back those nostalgic days of an extended playoff drought. Keep calling for a new coach. Be careful what you wish for.
  13. I’m sure McD can sleep well tonight knowing he has your blessing to continue for at least another season as the Bills head coach. 🙄 Anyone who’s entertained the notion of firing McDermott is a complete idiot in my opinion. The team has won 14 of 18 games in what was expected to be a ‘transition year’ with the exodus of several key players. It would probably have been 15 of 18 if they’d played their best team against the pats. In the process, they handed defeats to the top seeded teams each conference, and also both teams from the last Super Bowl. But yeah, let’s start looking for McDs replacement if they lose. When I hear the ‘fire McDermott’ chants, I’m convinced they’re coming from the same idiots who went ballistic when the Bills chose Josh Allen rather than Josh Rosen.
  14. Torrence. You rarely hear his name- and that’s a good thing.
  15. Para Español, marque nueve, y oprima el dos.
  16. With streaming and numerous viewing options, why would anyone be distressed over a network’s fixed schedule? I watch what I want when I want. If I choose to watch the Bills ‘perfect game’ vs New England, I pull it up on NfL+ without needing the blessing of the NFL Network.
  17. Nov 15, 1981, The Bills were 4 point favorites over the St Louis Cardinals. Needing some extra Christmas money, my buddy and myself each put a c-note on the Bills, thinking it was close to 'a sure thing'. I wasn't able to watch the game as I was working retail that day, and had to rely on customers for updates. The Bills got pounded 24-0. $110 lost with the vig. That's probably about $350+ in 2024 dollars. First and last time I bet with a bookie and never more than a few bucks with anyone else.
  18. There has been much analysis of the play, including computer models that show the pass was neither backward nor forward. From the point where Wycheck's hand was positioned above his right shoulder at the time of release, to where Dyson caught the ball, it was pretty much a straight line across the field. On TV, it looked like a forward pass. But, the angles can be deceptive. If the Bills had won, would Wade have been forced by Ralph to continue with Rob Johnson? I seriously doubt Johnson could have led the team to a Superbowl win. In some ways, it's a good thing the Bills didn't get there only to have an 0-5 Superbowl record hanging over their heads through a 17 year drought. As painful as it was at the time, I've conceded that it was probably the correct call. The real issue is that the Bills' coverage teams blew it on that kickoff.
  19. I’m thoroughly unimpressed with Coleman. If high-pointing jump balls is his sole contribution to the offense, he’s nothing more than a role player. He’s not particularly quick, doesn’t get separation, and so far, doesn’t win contested-throw battles. Rarely catches anything other than a clean unobstructed ball with no defender making a play. Josh still needs a reliable receiver that can separate in the designed route. Too much of Josh running around while steering receivers with hand motions.
  20. FWIW, my wife commented that she thinks he has a nice a s s
  21. I'd love to see the Bills finish the season with a team record for the number of wins. Even with a 14-win season, no doubt there will be chants from the ignorant masses of "fire McDermott" if they fail to make the super bowl. I'd really like to see them finish the regular season on a high note, heading into the playoffs with a four game win streak and 11-1 record over the past 12 games. I want to see lots of W's when I look back at the 2024 schedule results. Also, it would be nice to sweep the division.
  22. Right?! I’m glad somebody gets it. Hot dogs too. Mustard.
