Until now, this day has been sort of lousy. This may be my favorite all-time post. I mean that sincerely. I don’t necessarily agree with everything, but the passion and tone is Diggsian. Thank you.

The Bills have been getting out schemed and out played. That’s all. It’s going to up to Josh, Dorsey, and the offense to put up some points. With the mounting injuries on D, that’s their path to a W.

Yeah, she can get unnecessarily wordy at times. I suspect she’s the kind of person you have to say ‘goodbye’ to five times before you can get off the phone.

I’m slightly pissed off as I got the thing for $9.99 back in May, with the promise (I thought) if it being for the year. instead, it was just to enjoy all the past games and all the upcoming preseason games. and that was some shady kind of marketing because it was promoted as showing all the preseason games LIVE. Well sure, if it’s being broadcast in the local area. They made it sound like I’d be able to watch the bills games live through NFL+ premium. Maybe on mobile device. I forget. But definitely not on TV NFL app. As it turned out, the $9.99 service was only good until the regular season started. Oh. More deceptive marketing. I was OK with that and was going to sign in for the $79.99 promotion. Instead, I was auto/billed the regular subscription price of $99. So, I’ve already paid $110 and the Johnny Come Lately's will get it for $50 for a year. That blows. Apparently marketing today is all about being Houdini with the English language to make buyers believe they’re getting something they actually aren’t.

I can’t imagine her ever getting a national on-camera gig. Her voice is just a tad regional. Fortunately, her thick Chicago accent is practically indistinguishable from one you might hear in parts of WNY, so she’s ok for Bills fans. And, she’s a bit too Plain Jane for Sideline reports and Good Morning Football shows where they prefer a little more glamour from their female talent. I do think she’s as knowledgeable or more than some of the talking heads who’ve never played the sport. She does her homework. My biggest beef with her is the same one I have with Chris Brown- they can’t stop themselves from interrupting when Tasker’s talking. Tasker was telling an amusing anecdote yesterday that involved a practical joke from training camp involving Reed, Smerlas, and Ritcher, and he was twice on the verge of saying ‘even today..’ (anticipating something about Smerlas, the prank’s victim), but thanks to her interruption, we were left hanging on that line.

Man, you are taking some ***** for asking? WTF? Yes, when there’s a 47 yarder, I do immediately relate it to the Norwood attempt in SB XXV. But I’m a numbers guy (have been referred to as Rainman). I don’t necessarily think ‘wide right’, I just look at it for perspective, comparing field goal attempt in 1990 to 2023. A 47 yard field goal is practically considered a ‘gimmie’ by today’s top kickers. Back then it was maybe 50/50.

Looking forward to seeing the level of Bills Mafia representation at the game. Judging by the initial experiences y’all are reporting, it appears it will truly be a home game atmosphere.

Well of course it’s rigged, but if you knew all details and outcome it would ruin the entertainment value. I can’t be positive, but I suspect it’s rigged so that The Buffalo Bills will never win a Super Bowl, at least in our lifetimes. We’ll forever be the optimistic Charlie Browns attempting to kick the football when Lucy pulls it away. Just once I’d like to see Charlie kick her full force in the crotch.

Awkward phrasing. The ‘she’ is the potential crosstown date. It would have been politically correct to say ‘he or she’. Lack of wokeness there.

As an old school fan I’m partial to that combination. For years, that was the standard home uniform. The occasional all blues or reds is ok, but I like the established tradition. I missed not seeing the standing Buffalo throwback helmet logo last year, and don’t believe they’re using it this year.

That's kind of what I couldn't understand. There were times it looked like he should have been in 5th gear chasing down a ball carrier, but instead he'd look like he was out for a morning jog. I think he expected someone else to make the tackle, but he'd be there for the assist.

Yeah, I saw that previously and my thought was, 'same old Tremaine'. He gets pushed around like a 90 lb weaking. Good guy. Just overhyped and overpaid LB. Glad it's on the Bears books and not Buffalo's.

I'm wondering if the 4 game timeout will be a motivating factor for Elam to improve any areas the staff has identified as weaknesses in his game. 'If you think your 1st round status is a free pass to a gameday jersey, think again Kaiir.' Could be that's been at least partially the reason for the 'inactive' designation these past weeks. Of course, it's just as likely he's simply been outplayed by the other CBs.

I vaguely remember riding in the car with my dad and driving by it when it was little more than a hole in the ground, or possibly the beginnings of construction. I’ve always been fascinated by large building projects and watching early stages progress into a finished edifice that will stand and service people for decades. Can anyone here tell me if there’s a static ‘stadium cam’ to follow the progress of Highmark Jr. ?

After a big win it used to be enjoyable basking in the afterglow of the victory by listening to the post game commentary and callers. But, I can’t handle much of those 2 guys who now do that show. I can’t tell you exactly what it is about them that rubs me the wrong way. I guess to my ears they sound like the know-it-all jerks at the end of the bar who never shut up and act like their opinions are gospel. About 5 minutes is all I can handle. Side note: anyone who goes by a moniker like ‘The Bulldog’ I immediately assume is an A Hole.

This game against the Jets was the first regular season game played in the stadium. It was Sept 30 1973. 50 years ago this weekend. I was at the 4th game there- the Bills first Monday night game. In club seats directly a few rows in front of the booth where Cosell, Gifford, and Meredith were doing the game. Game 7, OJ went over 1000 yards, a milestone usually reserved for playing the entire 14 game schedule. Going to miss the troughs.

Just heard some of the radio broadcast highlights. Not hearing the entire broadcast I can’t really judge, but for the big plays that he announces, the cliches and metaphors sound very scripted and contrived, like he’s reading off a Rolodex of 3 x 5 index cards with clever sayings. Not spontaneous.

They managed 7 wins without Tre last year with a couple of rookie CBs. Not concerned, but they probably will need another CB.

Oliver, Rousseau, and Epenesa have really come on this year. Bills have done a good job of developing motivated plays with raw talent.
