We have plenty of high picks already this year. I don't think I would trade down unless I was getting something for next year. How many rookies do you really want in 1 year?

9 mil is a low cap hit for your number 1 receiver. -
Think Kyle Williams would've scored again?

I think he would have fumbled instead. Also, what's up with all the new threads? -
Was Greg Roman actually a good OC?
Steve Billieve replied to Klaista2k's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Roman definitely did a lot of things well. I thought he was the best part of Rex's tenure. He didn't really handle game time decisions like play calling well, there were issues with plays getting in etc. Also, his strength was mostly with running schemes which is not what most people want to do on offense. -

Tre' White Got the Call from Deion
Steve Billieve replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
yes obviously he should have just slid, but he didn't really allow any contact either . . . and went down in a hurry when they closed in. -
I really hope they keep Tyrod until they have a better player. The cap hit isn't any worse than whiffing on a big extension, and it gives us a chance to not play a rookie in the first couple of years. It drives me nuts the way the Bills seem to cut their best QB because he's not "good enough" when they don't have anyone better.

Of all our "hot" starts, is this by far the worst?
Steve Billieve replied to Steptide's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm gonna wait until the season ends, I mean if we get to 8-8 from here there's a lot to hope for going into next year. Some of those other years just left me hollow inside. Maybe if we loose the next 7/8 like we lost the last three, but until then . . . -
Hindsight is a wonderful thing. People love to judge decisions based on outcomes instead of possible outcomes. I wonder what the game would have looked like if Benjamin hadn't gone down immediately. I'm sure he was a big part of their game plan. After that, a pick six that wasn't Peterman's fault, and then to immediately have a pick when your hit. I'm not sure many rookie QBs would be able to pick themselves up after that. Having KB catch contested balls all day would be my game plan going into the game.

A few random thoughts on blowout #3
Steve Billieve replied to BmarvB's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well as far as 5 goes . . . I think the successful part of the running last year was the strength of Glenn and Incognito side by side with a pretty dependable Wood next door, the whole right side was a mess and we were just able to plan around it mostly by bringing our left linemen to the right. Now Glenn is hurt and Incognito and Wood are a year older. I'm not sure the right side has gotten better either. And I haven't even mentioned Roman yet. -
Gameday Thread 2nd Half Bills @ Chargers
Steve Billieve replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not sure if this has been mentioned but peterman set a record for most picks in a game. -
The only bargain is that you might actually be able to trade for him. No way is he cheap by any stretch, just consider how many teams would be interested.

Cap situation without Tyrod next year
Steve Billieve replied to The Now Moment's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah I think we can probably ship TT for a seventh. His contract is pretty good for a starting QB, and he would be awesome as a back up when teams haven't planned for him. Seems like there's not a lot of downside if you know you don't have a set starting QB. Maybe there are even situations where you can get more. -
don't know what to say . . . have you watched the nfl before? teams don't play their best every week . . . doesn't mean SOMETHING happened . . .
