  1. Feel like you dont know what come back means. We really had control of this game throughout. It was only about half a drive in which I had any worries. Game was over as soon as Allen hit Brown to go into field goal position.
  2. Couple of things here to nitpick at. I agree small sample size but when did the Jets become a bad defense? Also your small sample size is killing his AY/A because of flukey interceptions (they get -45) not because of short passes his (Y/A is 7.6 which is 15th). Wanna see short passes? Darnold and Trubisky both have Y/A below 5.0!!!!
  3. There is still plenty of opportunity for injuries in a touchback. The touch back doesn’t happen til near the end. All the kick returners can’t tell what’s happening. They have to play like it’s live even on a touchback. Kickoffs are stupid. 4th and 15 at the 35 instead please.
  4. Some football thoughts. Start on D. Simple game plan. Contain Barkley in the run game. In the pass game give safety help for him and engram. Giants will probably get there’s but not a ton. Putting it at 17 points allowed. This is will be the theme of the year. Can the bills offense take advantage of the defenses good work. Game plan will always be more complicated on this side. Gonna see some similar things from Daboll this week as giants have good enough run defense but bad pass rush. We will run a bit more cause the run defense isn’t as good as the Jets. In the pass game I think we’re gonna get more vertical. Giants safety are not as good as Adams and maye. Also weaker pass rush allows for deeper routes. This has me thinking a bit more foster than Zay in this game (more Zay makes sense last game). Ultimately i I think the offense will take advantage and score like 24 points. Flame away on my thoughts.
  5. I actually think it was pretty important to the defense that the offense could move the ball before the turnovers happened. Because we got first downs on a lot of the drives (only 1 3 and out) we were able to not give up terrible field position (only one NYJ drive started in Bills territory) and the defense actually got to rest a little. I remain cautiously optimistic this offense could be good. Obviously this defense is good borderline great.
  6. These guys said we would take a CB (Byron Murphy) with Ed Oliver on the board in the draft. I don't think they quite understand this team yet.
  7. I think a low throw to beasley makes sense. Low throw is more likely to be caught or just hit the ground. The popping up of it was totally goofiness. I have it as a 10% allen (more for speed than placement) 30% Beasley and 60% bad luck play.
  8. He also took the lead during the 4th quarter in the jets game last year even though he threw the game ending interception the next time he was on the field. He’s definitely a serious competitor.
  9. Of course you wouldn’t t because the second situation would only give you 2 to -3 yards rushing total. More relevant question would you take 5 carries losing 4 or 5 and then a 40 yard run? That would be the 3 yards per carry from above. Either way shady was good and a huge reason we broke the drought. In the clubhouse he seemed like a great competitor and off the field he did silly things like spoil the avengers.
  10. Going back to this. Only Coleman got cut and he’s likely to come back. Definitely was a warning for Shady as Yolo said.
  11. Anyone hear if Ray Ray got traded and what we got?
  12. DiMarco is on the leadership council. He is going nowhere. To a point up thread I don’t think we’re cutting players that will start for other teams (I assume they meant week 1). Wade should go to the PS and I cant see anyone putting him on the active roster if you don’t know if he can run the plays.
  13. What was wrong with carter? Both his punts were fair catches: one short one inside the 10 and a 51 yarder. Camp reports haven’t been great on him but he at least looked serviceable. Wouldn’t be shocked to see Bojo cut and have some different competition in the coming days.
  14. It was said earlier in the thread that this likely is because the D line can’t just pin their ears back and kill the QB so they end up getting more batted balls because of it. I’m not sweating it
  15. I am also excited about the potential to have cheaper players (including draft capital) at these type of positions but he has spent a lot of capital on the defense thus far. I get the why for it but going forward the offense is gonna need to continue to get playmakers. On the plus side I heard next year is supposed to be a great draft of WR.
  16. ???? I thought he had a big impact on that game. Pats may have tried to avoid him but it’s not like they had a lot of success doing it. Bellichek showed the genius by shutting Goff down.
  17. I’m not sure it matters for Beasley. I see him primarily as a man beater in the short area. Only people reading the QB eyes in man are robbers or single high safeties. I don’t think either are making a play on that ball. Lastly if it’s an option route doesn’t he need to read the cut?
  18. Agree the short game is his biggest weakness. But this is one of the reasons I like McBeane. They addressed his biggest weakness with a good player. Is cole gonna have the stats he had in Dallas? Maybe not. Is josh gonna have better stats on the shorter throws? Probably cause Beasley gets more separation than all our previous receivers. It was moves like this that the fan base is getting behind.
  19. Yup sorry about that. Got distracted by the chart which had some really funky things going on. I'm sorta trying to ask how much this actually points to real "aggressiveness." Feels like there are a lot other variables involved like system (how often are you asked to throw anticipation throws) and receivers ability to get separation. Sorry I missed that definition.
  20. What is the definition of "Aggresive" Feels weird to think Eli Manning is more aggressive than Mahomes and Watson.
  21. There really isnt a better gauge is the problem. You would have to put them in shorts and let them throw to really know. I think Josh scores well in those situations actually (he seems to be really good at hitting cross bars from time with Simms and Dilfer). The processing and system is what drives a lot of this. The point about extrapolating Dak's attempts from LOS to 10 yards for Josh was great. He attempts throws down field and it drives his numbers down. I dont agree with every play ronin identified but there are some plays he should hit the check down.
  22. Yup. I did the analysis and many of the throws to the flats were not that open (in the 0:27 play Shady is pretty clearly being covered). Couple of situational things too (whos gonna hit a guy in the flat on 3 and 20 or throw to the RB in the middle of the field with < 1 min). Generally I agree his hero ball needs to stop and that should be correctable for such a raw prospect (the PFF guys contend if he hasnt learned now he never well, but I'm not so sure). Take away hero ball and have his receivers help not hinder him would go a long way.
  23. The videos in these tweets are funny cause you can pause it and Barkley is winding up while Allen is chilling. Then advance to Allen’s receiver catching the ball before Barkleys receiver. That load to target time from Josh is insane.
  24. I know there was a cover 1 video or two (one was foster I think) that referenced the quick 4 steps. Those guys are usually on point so I’m gonna defer to them.
  25. Yup they were definitely not all doubles. The others are chip blocks. It could explain why LBs had trouble flowing to the outside but star did seem to hold the middle down based on the ypc.
