  1. Agreed with @Turk71 QB hits had me a bit concerned. Would accept that he didn’t play a lot of snaps as a reason (looks like he was playing >70% most weeks). Sorta the anti jerry Hughes so maybe it works particularly if his snap count is much lower than 70% (don’t know how much of that was rushing vs coverage). Overall think I’m gonna like the singing once the numbers come out.
  2. Gallup has 20 more targets and played across from Cooper. That’s why Diggs is dominant. his complaints early in the year are likely target related when the team was struggling (weird note he bipolar games in loss then too 1/7 in a loss to GB and then 7/7 in a loss to chi). We should review the tape of that GB game to see what was going down. lastly to those talking about him wanting to change his contract, would you acknowledge the bills have some leverage in this deal. Dude would have to hold out for 4 years of his prime and lose 45 million dollars. He’s pretty fairly compensated but a bit underpaid. I had he talked about upping his contract I don’t think those players make this team right now with as deep as it is.
  3. Maybe it was bills news consolidated but someone was saying he was a LorAx clone. Seems that way despite how hard that was. As Beane said he’s never seen another player start their career at DT and convert to LB and have a career. That hole is definitely filled now.
  4. I see it reported now in the main thread. He looks up to date at least
  5. I agree good deal. Looks like maybe 2 years but easy out third. Could also do the shorten and guarantee like with Kroft if he doesn’t quite pan out.
  6. He says we signed AJ Klien. Has that been announced? I thought this was a good fit. Think it was cover 1 or some other blogger that identified him for me.
  7. considering how far down the list a lot of our players are and that were ranked 20th overall. McD doesnt get enough credit for the job he does.
  8. What am I missing? Over the cap make it seem like they started with 62 mil cause i dont see any of the new contracts on there. Also Spotrac has similar with 61M but none of the newer contracts https://overthecap.com/salary-cap/cleveland-browns/ https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/cleveland-browns/cap// Also thanks for all your updates. They have been great. Edit: Tried playing with the Spotrac tool to build a roster and couldnt add any of their new players so maybe its accurate but not showing current contracts. However, I thought they usually waited and had things like cap automatically calculated based on inputted contracts which again i dont see for the new players. Confusing. Double Edit: Now very sure the 62 mil is wrong. In overthecap i could sign players to customized deals and i mimicked the deals from today with money spread out evenly and got down to 39 mil. Dont think that is accurate but i am very confident if spotrac or overthecap is the source of the browns 62 mil then that is an illusion.
  9. I just dont think its updated. over the cap has them at 62 M but none of the new contracts. Sportrac also has dolphins as most cap space so I think they just dont reflect the new deals.
  10. Its just that the 1st tier is so big.
  11. Gonna need to beat them on the edge with skill players and that isnt really easy either.
  12. See post below. I think there will be players at 54 for us, and if the FO is concerned theyll move up Was responding to post above. I think there will be good players at 54. I think cutting McKenzie is an ok thing that maybe a genius thing.
  13. Feel like I've seen lots of potential starters (let alone contributors at 54). Its a deep class and looks to have contributors all over. Also a 2nd (3rd also) means we could move up with our later picks in that round.
  14. Agree they need two but if we use our 2nd and 3rd for WR and sign Amari then we would have 3 WR more and have +1 for comp. If you dont think about these things as people say then you wont be able to take advantage for a couple offseasons. I dont think its crazy to think were setting up for it this year (agree still seems unlikely.
  15. very true. but if he meets the minimum requirements then he offsets any 1 UFA we sign even if its a huge deal.
  16. I like this. Could help our comp pick and was gonna struggle to make the team. we dont get anything for cutting him later (guess he could get a trade but probably less helpful than comp formula with shaq out there now).
  17. Interesting, if he gets picked up he could help our comp formula and he was gonna struggle making this roster.
  18. Thanks I see that now. I think I looked at the axis (you mean x right?) of the top one. Either way still dont see how it works. If its all your UFAs count against you then why are the patriots losing the their corner stone QB not lower and if its all the moves then how is LorAx and Shaq moving the needle that much. Didnt realize it was from PFF but yeah that would need to be explained to me.
  19. I believes its wins. So we are 2 wins worse than last year....? Yeah I dont understand. If its all FAs then some of the bigger named FAs should drag down other teams more (Pats and Brady) and no way Shaq is the moving the needle that much.
  20. I would look in the draft. Probably late rounds to stash on the PS. If that doesn’t work back to FA again.
  21. Agree keep them all I was trying to respond to some discussion about bumping Ford inside and how that’s a lot of assets for a backup. I think if they kick him inside they start him. But yeah keep them all.
  22. Yup. I would cut long if choosing between Feliciano and long (I talked about Feliciano cause he was starting cause he’s better than long). @GunnerBillhad a great point about long term security at the center position.
  23. If i put ford at guard then i would let feliciano or long go. probably make feliciano the back up if hell take the money. if ford is better than feliciano at RG then i dont think they would be better served with feliciano at RG. that said i dont know how good ford would be at RG, but i would def take one of the top 4 tackles if they somehow magically fell in the draft.
  24. @BigBillsFan last post helped me form my thoughts. I think the answer to the OP is we dont know because we havent really sunk sizeable assets into the WR position yet. We have sunk a 3rd for KB and then some FA contracts. Of those FA contracts Beasley and Brown, who are pretty reasonable contracts (31st and 37th highest), are by far the highest. So we havent spent draft picks or FA money on WR yet. Reason for hope is that the two FA contracts have been good; reason for despair is that KB was bad. I really dont think we have any idea about the draft. These guys typically have a prototype and I'm not sure we know that yet for WR. If your arguement is that they cant evaluate WR cause they havent really taken a shot yet, then ok, but I would still think you can understand the OL last year was a bigger need.
