  1. I actually hope they do this! Rosen is is no sure thing to say the least. I think every “top“ quarterback in this draft is overvalued. By doing this thr Pats* would loseMost of the best draft picks. They have some serious gaps in multiple positions. Please, let this happen!
  2. And you could put this comment in any place in any thread right now. Just go with the flow! And you could put this comment in any place in any thread right now. Just go with the flow!
  3. The title is misleading. The only legitimate comparison is that a bunch of quarterbacks will likely be taken in the first round and three or four of them early. For this year’s class to dwarf 1983 we would have to wait 20 to 25 years and find out that four of these quarterbacks are in the Hall of Fame. The title is misleading. 4. I agree with this. Besides, the OP is wrong in asserting that Taylor helped out the offense of line with his scrambling. Just the opposite is true. The offense of line actually played pretty fair during 2017. The problem was Taylor’s tendency to panic under pressure and run into a sack.Again, embedded in the initial post is the ridiculous lingering narrative that Taylor was anything but horrible.
  5. Well, the lead up has been crazy. The draft might be crazier!
  6. It continues to boggle my mind that anybody would trade for Taylor. Such a horrible excuse for an NFL quarterback. I am really hoping that this lingering narrative that he was anything but terrible finally dies out.
  7. To me it’s a red flag but it’s not a dealbreaker. But it is one reason, among several, but he’s not at the top of my list.
  8. There is no position on any team sport played on this planet that is even close to being as important as the quarterback is to football. The closest, maybe, and it’s not even that close, is the starting pitcher in baseball. But they change every game and get relieved every game. So, I guess what I’m saying is, I agree with you.
  9. I completely agree with what you say here. The problem is if the bills draft him at 12 or, more to the point, use draft picks to move up and get him, even ending up in the middle equates to his being a bust. It’s amazing to read the wide range of predictions about this guy from all of the “experts“. “Polarizing“ is indeed the term to use with regard to him. But, As a bills fan trusting the process, if we get him I’ll be OK with it.
  10. If I started a thread about every bad feeling I have about the Bills and the 2018 draft.........
  11. Actually, a score of 20 is average. It equates to a full-scale IQ score of 100. So everyone but Jackson is above average on this intelligence screening test.
  12. Sorry, but height is very important when it comes to playing quarterback in today’s NFL. That is just the way it is. Just like you can’t teach speed. You can’t teach height. It is a factor that absolutely needs to be considered along with every other measurable. It doesn’t mean he won’t be a successful quarterback. But a short stature works against him. Remember, he won’t be playing at Oklahoma anymore against lousy big 12 defenses. So, no, the issue of height in an NFL quarterback is not overrated.
  13. The same is absolutely the case for Mayfield but everyone seems to love him!The same is absolutely the case for Mayfield but everyone seems to love him!
  14. Interesting, the last commentator seemed to suggest that the bills may not take a quarterback at all in the first round! This just doesn’t seem right given all the lead up to this point. However, it’s not implausible. Myself-Full disclosure here-I don’t have a clue as to what they are going to do. I lean towards standing pat and taking the best quarterback they can at number 12. But, if they trade up to get a quarterback, I’m behind it!
  15. And there’s only a50-50 chance of that.
  16. The quarterback situation in this year’s draft is insane. However, I find the OP ‘s prediction to be rather improbable given all the information that’s floating out there about these quarterbacks. If the Browns take Darnold the Jets will likely take Rosen. His history of concussions is a non-issue. They are healed. Concussions do that when you give them time. To me the whole issue with his “attitude” is overblown. If somehow the bills got him I would be quite happy. Although I’d rather they not blow all their draft picks on moving up and yesterday at 12 and see who they get. If Allen falls to us at 12 great. But I would be happy with Rudolf or Jackson. To me, Mayfield is the biggest risk in this draft. He is short, and please don’t cherry pick Brees or Wilson, he is not either of those guys. Plus he is a pure system quarterback who routinely Played against absolutely horrible big 12 defenses, as did Rudolph by the way. Also, Mayfield is the one to be concerned about his “attitude.“ It’s one thing to be cocky. It’s another thing to be an A-hole. I really hope the bills do not get him. Way too much of a risk in my opinion for many reasons! Between Mayfield and Allen, I would take Allen in a heartbeat.
  17. I didn’t even know who this quarterback was until I googled him. His numbers are pedestrian at best. In my opinion Peterman is a better prospect than him.
  18. I do agree with this approach. I’ve actually seen some mock drafts where Mayfield falls to us at 12. Awesome if it happens but it seems quite improbable. I wish there was an emoji of an exploding head. That’s how I’m starting to feel with all this quarterback/draft tension. I keep telling myself I’m not even going to check in on it today. Yeah, right!
  19. No, he just sucked real bad. The only quarterback statistic that matters is wins. The bills made the playoffs in spite of him. What was it, for the last five games he couldn’t even engineer a touchdown in the last quarter? No, he just sucked real bad. The only quarterback statistic that matters is wins. I can’t believe that there is still a lingering narrative that Taylor was anything but horrible.
  20. In four games he completed 86 out of 133 passes for a 64.7 completion percentage. He threw for 920 yards in those games. He threw six touchdowns and two interceptions. His quarterback reading was 93.6. So I ask you: In what universe does Taylor ever put up those numbers? This may not be a lot of data. But what is there is impressive.
