  1. Just to piggyback on this, you may want to Google Oliver’s pro day.By all accounts he blew everybody away! Now I’m thinking that it’s more likely than not he won’t even be there at number nine
  2. Great find! I remember watching the game on my black-and-white TV in my home in Niagara Falls when I was 11 years old. The Stratton hit on Keith Lincoln is great to watch to this day. I also believe the 1965 championship team would’ve beaten Green Bay if they had a Super Bowl one year earlier
  3. I’ve lived in the Syracuse area since 1980. I’m a big fan of the orange including lacrosse. It is said that a fundamental rule change occurred after Jim Brown played lacrosse. He used to get the ball in his stick, cup against his chest and simply run down the field knocking people down until he got to the goal and then scored. Since that time, reportedly because of this, it’s illegal to carry the ball that way
  4. It was sad. He retired in his prime at the end of the 1965 season to focus on acting in movies. I was a kid growing up in Niagara Falls. Maybe you remember that back then both the browns and the bills were televised every Sunday in western New York. I’ve always been a bills fan. For a while the Browns were my second team. If Brown had played out his natural physical career they would still be chasing him for the all-time leading rusher. One of my best years as a fan was 1964 when the bills one the AFL championship in the Browns won the NFL championship. I also remember that Lee Roy Kelly took over for brown after he retired and was a great running back for several years after that.
  5. I remember this, also, growing up in Niagara Falls. Not only was Jim Brown the greatest running back of all time, in my opinion he is the greatest football player of all time. He had to be seen to be appreciated!
  6. The ghost of Al Davis! Just win baby! ?
  7. I’m bored. I wish something would happen.
  8. This trade makes sense for both teams. Certainly for the Giants who relieve them self of a headache that over matched his talent. That’s how much of a headache he became! It also makes sense given their current quarterback situation, to me. For the Browns, there is a high risk/reward ratio. If it pays off it could be really big. If not, it can be disastrous.
  9. It’s just a rhetorical at this point but, how can Edelman always be so open!
  10. I like that! Let me add insipid and banal.
  11. Finally, some funny commercials
  12. I’m surprised they didn’t call a personal foul on Darnold.
  13. Much ado! Nothing to see here! Let them talk. Nothing to lose. It’s OK
  14. I agree that the team needs to address this position either in free agency, the draft or a trade or some combination of those. However, I remain somewhat hopeful and intrigued that Croom can develop into a weapon. When he did flash a couple of times this season he looked pretty imposing. I’m sure someone else has the official data but he seems to have gigantic hands.
  15. Not a troll, I have been here for years. Your recognition is inconsequential to me. We disagree, deal with it. Have a nice day. You can have the last word. Just stating the facts. Look it up
  16. Plain and simple you are dead wrong. The history is clear. But you are entitled to your own opinion. But not to your own facts.
  17. The reason why the tobacco companies were successfully sued is because they injected their product with hyper amounts of nicotine. They were, essentially, nicotine delivery systems. It wasn’t just the natural tobacco. That is why they were successfully sued. It was deemed, and appropriately so, that they duped and mislead the public. It’s a different animal from the football issue
  18. ? same as it ever was! What an anti-climax!
  19. If the ref did not have the right angle to make that obviously bad cough and he was out of position. That’s not an excuse. If the ref did not have the right angle to make that obviously bad cough and he was out of position. That’s not an excuse.
  20. In real time it seemed so clear that he touched it. This is why instant replay is very valuable for fairness
  21. That abrupt cut to commercial at that point really sucked. Probably the biggest play in the game and right away they cut to a commercial!
