  1. Allowing for the fact that either scenario is quite unlikely. Also, allowing for the fact that the OP his ****serious, The premises is completely silly. Of course you would want them to win out. If they did, they could, potential he make the playoffs. Even if they didn’t, if they win out that clearly means that the team is clicking on all cylinders. This includes defense and offense. It also means that Allen is evolving into a franchise quarterback. It is also some seriously great momentum going into next season. Who in their right mind would risk all of this for the possibility of a higher draft pick that may or may not work out? These ideas really have to be thought through better before they are posted!
  2. Anybody who says somebody should be fired should be fired from this board. Silly!
  3. Nope, not even this. If he is out of the league by 2019, which is not a given, it’s not on McDermott. The coach gave him his chance and, sadly, he wasn’t up to the task. Not on the coach at all.
  4. The OP is no more on target than those who say Marrone cost EJ a lucrative career. Evidence to the contrary is right in front of all of our faces.
  5. When I mentioned customary and usual I am referring to the community standard of care. They are the same thing. We agree on that. However, if the anesthesiologist worked under Dr. Andrews in his facility he indeed could be considered negligent for utilizing that anesthesiologist. There are many fingers and they can go in many different directions. Trust me on this.
  6. Are usually try to maintain and even keel on my post. Also, I have not read any other post. However, this thread is completely asinine!! Are usually try to keep an even keel on my posts. Also, I have not read any other post on this thread. It’s not necessary. This premise is completely asinine. It boggles my mind that there was any negative out there at all these days that Taylor was anything but horrid!! Everyone, I have to believe, is familiar with is cornucopia of negative traits as a quarterback. Ultimately, they add up to one big negative: Taylor has been, is an always will be a complete loser. He cannot win games. He is Mr. “ three and out.“ Why doesn’t anyone who supports him seem to remember that for the last five games of the regular season he could not lead the team to a fourth quarter TD when they made the playoff run. It was the defense playing it hard out and yes, good coaching, but got us there with a little luck. And, the same thing happened in the playoffs. The defense, again, played it’s heart out. That game was easily winnable with even a smidgen of offense from our completely loser quarterback! Throw in the fact that he is selfish and narcissistic. He actually thinks he’s great and is a true top quality NFL starting quarterback? He would’ve been a horrible mentor to Allen. Getting rid of him was absolutely necessary for this team to MoveOn. I don’t care what’s phappening this year with the offense. It had to be done. Although personally, I think Alan has some significant upside and look forward to washing him develop. In a nutshell, in the whole scheme of things,Taylor sucks 1000%. I know some of you will not heed this advice but, please let it go. I’m getting tired enough about the whining about we didn’t draft Mahomes when we had the chance. Sheesh!
  7. This can most definitely be a negligence malpractice case even with the patient’s consent. If the negative event that happened is not part of “customary and usual“ risks associated with the procedure the consent could be a non-issue. It doesn’t matter who actually did the nerve block if it was under the supervision and auspice is of Dr. Andrews. However all those involved can be sued. This includes the facility. If negligence can be shown and clearly resulted in and inability for the player to continue his career these are clearly “compensable damages“ that typically the court will see as a Measure with what somebody in his profession would make. Thus, a large award is not out of the question. Malpractice cases are -based, fundamentally, on the following: Negligent behavior has been established which results in compensable damages and the damages are considered “proximately caused“ by the negligent behavior. By the way, I am a doctor, I do treat patients and my community, I am required to have malpractice/liability insurance. My particular specialty is very low risk, thankfully. I have never been sued. However, most doctors will know about these things. And, thus, my post.
  8. This is far too rational and makes too much sense for most posters on this board, unfortunately
  9. This is way too rational and makes way too much sense for most posters on this board.
  10. It’s always frustrating to me that the Pats* can seem to take players like Patterson and Gordon and turn a sow’s ear into a silk purse.
  11. Pathetic! If this is the basis of comparison you have to use to claim your’re worthy of a job in the NFL then you have no insight.
  12. I agree. It can seem that way, at least sometimes.
  13. The only quarterback issue the bills have is whether or not Josh Allen will develop into a franchise guy. I don’t share you’re extremely pessimistic view about the current coaching staff and its ability to do this based on, essentially, 1/2 of a season. That’s the key. You need to give it some time in my opinion. And, while we’re at it, I don’t believe firing the OC is the issue. I actually think he has tried to be creative in his play calling. He has total crap to work with for the time being. Let’s see what happens, probably next year, when Alan gets a year under his belt and, presumably, you will have some weapons and improved offense of line. It sucks that this will be a losing season. Just got to get through it.
  14. Sorry, but this is a silly knee-jerk reaction. It’s been 1 1/2 seasons for chrissakes! And, only 1/2 season since we made the playoffs!A lot of you need to learn how to hold your wads! In 1969 they were 2-12-1 and in 1971 1-13. I was there and it sucked! The team has been worse. We do have a promising quarterback to develop. Some of the foolish notions that he is already a bust not withstanding. Take a deep breath and let it play out into next season! Things do change that quickly in the NFL. Any fan would know that.
  15. That genie is out of the bottle! They have to play Allen as soon as he is ready. The worry is injury. No worries whatsoever about losing his confidence. I think anyone who is watched him play so far this year would recognize that.
  16. Maybe bills fans can just hold their alcohol a lot better than fans of other teams. As a result, it just doesn’t seem like there as drunk as all those other teams that are ahead of them. That is, of course, unless this is all based on actually taking blood alcohol content.
  17. The “Masked Singer”! No that sounds like a show I could maybe sink my teeth into.
  18. Great list! I would just add: now if you have a conflict on Sunday afternoon it has become a lot easier to resolve.
  19. This “Mentoring“ myth is getting way out of hand. AJ did not come here to mentor. If the bills were to actually get Foles it would not be to mentor! He would come here to be the starting quarterback! Nothing more! True mentors in this context are rare. Besides Mcnown on the Jets, who probably wants to be a coach, they are quite rare.
  20. First in foremost, you did admit you made a statement that you cannot back up. I thank you for that. You seem to be one of the minority on this board that think Josh Allen is a bust. For everyone on the board who says that at this point in time here is my take: It is absolutely 100% impossible to make that judgment. Alan may turn out to be the best of all the quarterbacks drafted this year. Or he may not. It simply cannot be determined at this time. That is a fact, it is not debatable. Consequently, people who are already pronouncing him a bust have no credibility with me for this simple reason: Anyone who professes to no the unknowable is suspect with me regardless of the topic. Now if I miss judged you in the sense that you don’t necessarily think at this point in time that Alan is a bust, I apologize. Your posts make you come across that way. And, for some advice to take or leave as you see fit, I wouldn’t make such assertions in terms of what the entire board or the Buffalo Bills fandom seem to think when you can’t back it up. That’s just my scientific training in me coming out regarding these kinds of issues.
  21. Can you find all of us some actuarial data, you know, empirical research that is not debatable, that a “huge” amount of bills fans didn’t want Josh Allen? You find it and post it and I might agree with that shoot from the hip assertion. At this point it’s only wishful thinking on your part because you didn’t want him drafted. My own anecdotal evidence regarding this issue is that the majority of bills fans, even on this board, are quite pleased with his acquisition.
  22. This is, indeed, the case. He is not going anywhere. Regardless of what you think about him, the fact that he got the bills into the playoffs in and did the drought bought him, in my opinion, at least two years. This is not to say if he ends up being a great coach or not. I don’t know if you will be but I have some confidence in him because he actually did get us to the playoffs! He will not be fired this year or during the off-season.
