  1. I agree, he really isn’t that bad overall and does seem to play poorly against the Bills. I guess I was just surprised to see such a high rating for him because even at his best he’s kind of just “OK”.
  2. Tamnehill a 94? That’s a red flag right there. For McShay, not Darnold.
  3. I remember that game very well, also. I also remember thinking to myself that, just maybe, we have a quarterback. Oh well
  4. This is a very good read and Fairchild seems to be very diligent and detailed in his assessments. But it keeps the “what quarterback will the Bills draft” roller coaster going for me. Now I’m starting to like Rudolph again! Amazing!
  5. There are certainly strong indications that there ultimate goal is to trade up. However I’m not as convinced as others are that this is their written in stone plan. I am so uncertain as to what they are planning to do that all I can do is sit back, watch, and try to enjoy “The process”. I do believe that they plan to pick a quarterback in the first round. Whether it’s at 12, 22 or a trade up, who knows? As a fan, my plan is to get behind it 100% whatever they do.
  6. The bills may or may not like and be targeting Jackson. The bills may or may not be trading up for a quarterback. What is for certain at this time is ............Nothing is obvious! All bets are on!
  7. I’m of the opinion that as we go through this tense and crazy pre-draft period we should all be tolerant of threads with overlapping content. However ...........Not this one! It’s not even a good conspiracy theory!
  8. It’s a lot easier to find good offensivLineman in later rounds. Not so easy to get a good quarterback that way. Trust the process. These changes may even be better for the bills going forward with their new line.e Lineman in later rounds. Not so easy to get a good quarterback that way. Trust the process. 9. At this point it is due diligence and nothing more. Don’t make too much of the fact that they went out to LA for this. Teams do this all the time. No big deal. Don’t get me wrong. It could happen. This visit in no way portends anything for certain.
  10. No big deal even if it is true. However, I’m not convinced that this is over yet.
  11. Whether at the peewee level, High school level, college or the NFL the quarterback is the most important position on the field. You are using the TyrodTaylor argument that the reason he was so putrid was because he didn’t have enough talent around him. Bull crap! It’s always the other way around by and large. That’s football 101. The Tim Tebow comparison is simply wrong! But, unlike you, I will not resort to an insulting term describe your opinion. I actually respect it. I just completely disagree. In any team sport, by far the quarterback is the most important position. A distant second might be the starting pitcher in baseball but they never finish games. A distant third might be a point guard in basketball. Again, football 101. Have a good one.
  12. In no way, shape or form is this comparable. Comparing Tebow to AJ is like comparing apples to kumquats. Sorry, missed this one by mile, didn’t you? Let me put it to you in another way. Who would you rather have playing quarterback for the bills of those two? Something tells me I already know what your answer is.
  13. AJ may or may not be a franchise level talent quarterback. However, in my opinion, you way over state your opinion. I don’t believe for one minute that his statistics at Alabama, which are quite impressive, are diluted or misleading because of the talent on the field with him. They are exactly what you see on that chart. When you think about the quarterback position, it matters little who is on the field with him. It takes a great quarterback, at least a great college quarterback, to put up those numbers. To me, this is not even debatable.
  14. I have the same feeling about Vea although my sample size is small. I just saw him and his ball game.He did seem sluggish and easily handled by whatever offensive Lineman went up against him. I saw no evidence of a big guy with a lot of athletic ability or the ability to penetrate. But, again, it just was one game. He did not impress me.
  15. Maybe he was just getting a massage later in the day and looking forward to it. Or ..... we could be trading him to the Giants or Eagles..... or maybe something in between. I like it when I get a chance to use the term “cryptic”
  16. So true! Every time they make a move there are a lot of traumatic reactions on the board. On the other hand, I think we need to cut those posters a little slack as, unfortunately, in the past there has been something to it in terms of the Pats* making some move and it turning out good for them and bad for us.
  17. In that case, the bills should draft two of them to play it safe. In that way the odds are significantly increased that at least one of them will be a hit.
  18. Love the Edwards pick. But, please, no first round cornerback!Either defensive line, maybe a center, or possibly even Rudolf if he is there
  19. I do agree with this point and, also, I am “trusting the process”.So if they really feel that way about him and make some moves and give up some draft picks, so be it. I would be behind it.So if they really feel that way about him and make some moves and give up some draft picks, so be it. I would be behind it. Sorry, are usually dictate my post and, for some reason, occasionally it doubles down on what I say.
  20. Good point! He should choose his words more carefully in that context.Good point! He should choose his words more carefully in that context.
  21. It seems to me that there are more than a few talent evaluator out there stating that Allen is Way overvalued and even bust material. So it’s not just those posters here who don’t like him. But I agree, there is something tantalizing about him . If the bills can get him at 12 I would be OK with that. I would not be OK with him trading up to get him. If they trade up it has to be for one of the other three top quarterbacks in my opinion.
  22. I’m not sure what your point is. Are you agreeing with me or disagreeing with me?
