  1. I remember this, also, growing up in Niagara Falls. Not only was Jim Brown the greatest running back of all time, in my opinion he is the greatest football player of all time. He had to be seen to be appreciated!
  2. The ghost of Al Davis! Just win baby! ?
  3. This trade makes sense for both teams. Certainly for the Giants who relieve them self of a headache that over matched his talent. That’s how much of a headache he became! It also makes sense given their current quarterback situation, to me. For the Browns, there is a high risk/reward ratio. If it pays off it could be really big. If not, it can be disastrous.
  4. It’s just a rhetorical at this point but, how can Edelman always be so open!
  5. I’m surprised they didn’t call a personal foul on Darnold.
  6. Much ado! Nothing to see here! Let them talk. Nothing to lose. It’s OK
  7. I agree that the team needs to address this position either in free agency, the draft or a trade or some combination of those. However, I remain somewhat hopeful and intrigued that Croom can develop into a weapon. When he did flash a couple of times this season he looked pretty imposing. I’m sure someone else has the official data but he seems to have gigantic hands.
  8. Not a troll, I have been here for years. Your recognition is inconsequential to me. We disagree, deal with it. Have a nice day. You can have the last word. Just stating the facts. Look it up
  9. Plain and simple you are dead wrong. The history is clear. But you are entitled to your own opinion. But not to your own facts.
  10. The reason why the tobacco companies were successfully sued is because they injected their product with hyper amounts of nicotine. They were, essentially, nicotine delivery systems. It wasn’t just the natural tobacco. That is why they were successfully sued. It was deemed, and appropriately so, that they duped and mislead the public. It’s a different animal from the football issue
  11. If the ref did not have the right angle to make that obviously bad cough and he was out of position. That’s not an excuse. If the ref did not have the right angle to make that obviously bad cough and he was out of position. That’s not an excuse.
  12. In real time it seemed so clear that he touched it. This is why instant replay is very valuable for fairness
  13. That abrupt cut to commercial at that point really sucked. Probably the biggest play in the game and right away they cut to a commercial!
  14. I have my actual fireplace lit but it’s not helping. This never ends!
  15. I’m assuming we are talking about a former player in his prime. For me, hands down, it is Thurman Thomas. He was the most dangerous offense of weapon in football for a few years. Of course, not just his running, but his past receiving. He ran routes like a top-notch wide receiver.
  16. For me it all boils down to who is available at nine when the bills pick. The only way this works is that they make the trade literally at the last moment when the number nine pick is up or the player(s) they targeted at 9 are already gone. It does not always make sense to go all in on quantity versus quality in these situations.
  17. No, but they are also not going to go out of their way to say something positive if they don’t believe it. If Alexander didn’t believe what he said he would not have said it publicly. On the policy
  18. Me. I don’t think he can do that. It has to be, at least, running back by committee. He can no longer handle that job by himself in my opinion even with a functional O line
  19. Money is always an issue even with a lot of cap space. It would be totally wasted on Clay. McCoy could be of some value to the team next year as long as he can accept the fact that he is not the number one running back anymore. His best use would be as a role player, probably a third down back. The team needs to get a number one running back one way or another in the off-season. And, this “mentoring” thing is way over blown. There is no reason whatsoever to think that Clay or McCoy would be willing to do this. Or, even be good at it! This is what position coaches are for.
  20. OK, I’m in! Up to now, I have resisted the notion that the Pats* get breaks from the officials. I just gave them the benefit of a doubt that they were just that good. After watching this game, so far, I am now a believer. And, yes, it sucks!
