  1. So at exactly 4:01 on Tuesday, I'm calling Chandler Jones if I'm Beane.
  2. Down here in SC: Eutawville is how it's spelled. Pronounced Utah-ville. Tell me that's not the product of some illiterate redneck.
  3. I was in the "Don't pay Jason Peters" camp. And then he turned out to be a generational talent at LT. But being fair, who was he really protecting in Buffalo? Losman? Brian Brohm?
  4. I think we move on from Taiwan Jones, but keep Metakavich and Siran Neal around as core special teamers and backups on defense. Jones is up there in age, at the end of his contract, and has not shown that he can contribute elsewhere even in a backup role.
  5. I think with Tre recovering for the first half of the season, it bodes well for Levi. I don't think that he will get near $9million, but I could see a 3/yr $15million with 10 guaranteed in the first two years. I don't think you go longterm with Levi, which means you go higher guaranteed money and an out in the last year.
  6. "Wait a minute, I'm the only one who wears a clip on tie??"
  7. When is the first "Is Ken Dorsey on the Hot Seat?" thread coming?
  8. Some people even say that they heard his familiar battle cry: 'Just go ahead and fire me!' https://www.inquisitr.com/1455077/buffalo-bills-coach-doug-marrone-gets-into-shouting-match-with-team-executive-says-go-ahead-and-fire-me/
  9. I think that you'll see alot from next offseason, depending on who is available. Basically, he will take the Beane route and go after players who he scouted, no matter how old they are.
  10. Yeah but he made a mistake before that and that's what this thread is about.
  11. I didn't really know until that McKenzie interview today. He said that he didn't know what the mixup was and that it hadn't been discussed. I had hoped that they had some sort of sit down after the game but eventually I'm sure they will discuss as a team. I don't pretend to know why it hasn't been discussed, but if I put myself in a players shoes, they deserve an explanation before they go back out there. I would think it would affect a players ability to buy-in to a coaching staff if they don't fully trust that they can do their jobs and not blow it when it's all on the line.
  12. I don't know what his market value would be, but I like Pringle from KC who is a FA. He seems like an outside WR with speed who can take on the return duties and play the slot when Beasley needs a break or is injured. Not sure if he is a 100% slot receiver or not, but he seems like he could step into McKenzies role just fine.
  13. Yeah. This guy is legit. I watched a game of SD State and the announcers were talking about him being the next big thing in punting in the NFL (for what that's worth). About that time, he nailed a 72 yarder in the air.
  14. I'm not saying to fire him, I'm saying that McD needs to address the problem as he sees fit. And it's a bad look to not tell the truth (at the very least to his team) when you are preaching process. We as fans aren't owed anything. Same goes for the media. But in order to put this behind them, the team needs to know exactly what the mixup was, whose fault it was, and how it's being addressed by the head coach. I think it's a bad move to just let it hang around and chaulk it up to something vague like "we didnt execute". They need closure in order to bounce back from that kind of a coaching screw up.
  15. If this is the case, he needs to come out and say it at some point. The questions will continue and he can't just keep dodging it. Fire the guy, come out and say he screwed up, whatever McD needs to do. In the end, Special teams had some glaring errors this season as well as some very strong play so it's tough to just fire the coordinator. Bass and our punt/KO coverage were top notch. Haack was just average, and we all know about the punt/kickoff return issues.
  16. I wouldn't mind Pringle in his spot next year. He is fast, and has experience in the return game as well.
  17. This is right. And Gabe had the game he had because he was the lessor of two evils in the mind of KC. Leave him 1 on 1 or leave Diggs 1 on 1 was their options. Josh recognized this early and looked to Gabe all game when he needed a play. And Gabe was as focused as I've ever seen him. The moment wasn't too big for he or Josh, and that is a good sign. But the defensive play calling is what let us down, no doubt about it. Absolutely terrible down the stretch.
