  1. Drew Brees, 2nd QB taken in his draft and really flourished in NO after getting injured on the Chargers.
  2. http://hosted.stats.com/fb/tmleaders.asp?type=Receiving&range=NFL&rank=232 and now I'm wondering where they pulled from. I assumed it was the difference between what we consider a drop vs what statisticians do. I know KC is the worst, but jesus Knox almost doubles the drop number. The biggest problem there is that his production is trash, the other TEs near him in drops are having much better seasons overall. If he had 4 drops or stats like LaPorta we would probably not focus on it.
  3. The bills have 4 drops on the year and are near the bottom of the league in that category. It doesn't seem to make a difference because the open guy isn't getting the ball even against stacked boxes.
  4. He also blocks well which they value. So well that they use him like a TE instead of the threat he is.
  5. What would you call a ball in the receiver's hands that he loses when trying to hold onto it? It's not like he never had it and it hit the ground, he lost it when he went to the ground because he has awful hands. Professional players are expected to catch bad passes too. If you bought a Knox jersey just say it.
  6. It's not a good throw. 5% Knox is some serious hyperbole though. The dude has 50/50 hands and is seriously overrated based solely on his friendship with Josh. If anything that's on Dorsey for dialing up a play to him when you can't afford a drop.
  7. He got paid like a top TE and the ball was in his hands, not just hit but in his hands.
  8. Chipping DEs apparently. Definitely not putting him deep where he thrives.
  9. Dorsey has him chipping like a TE close to the line. He took our most consistent deep threat and played him as a TE because he is an awful OC.
  10. You think flat routes and outlets are going to keep things going? They're going to be the last team to institute motions the way Miami does and actually get they're highly drafted TEs to the middle of the field deeper than 5 yards. The problem is the GM and HC just inexplicably decided that he would work as a bruiser. Same deal with Singletary who they sold as some Shady like replacement when he was far more the yards after contact guy in college. They try and outsmart the system too much.
  11. The moss problem was deeper than just one OC. They drafted a small elusive college back and decided he was some short yardage specialist. It made no sense.
  12. There have been many QBs with great stats who couldn't get it done because the team wasn't good enough. Allen isn't going to drag them to a Super Bowl. He requires a scheme with open receivers and he doesn't have that. The goal was to be more dynamic than last year, not the same issues with different names.
  13. I'm not sure about that, I think a big part of his contract was Josh likes him. His production certainly didn't warrant the money he was given. Now they have the 2 TEs they always wanted and can't scheme any plays to the TEs. This, id rather be the Rams who sold it all for a championship. They just blew they're money and now it's a moot point.
  14. Davis is underwhelming, but how many targets do you expect for a WR that generally runs deep routes against two high? That's not a game where he has a high volume, that's the type of game where those underneath routes should eat.
  15. I'm not a fan of Dorsey and I think the play calling was bad, but how many videos of open receivers do you need to see? They invested in slot and he doesn't use them. Josh overlooked sure things for big plays against a defense specifically designed to stop big plays.
  16. Diggs brings the perfect win mentality and it's all gas with him. It wasn't an issue when you had Josh going balls the wall to improve and everyone was on the same page, I just don't think that drive is there for everyone anymore. You need people like Diggs, they aren't going to win it all with choir boys.
  17. He is so slow, speed rushers have been going around him for years now. No speed and no flexibility.
  18. Terry was knowingly pumping chemicals into people's well water on more than one occasion. His company had one of the worst compliance records while he lobbied for more fracking. This isn't an anti-fracking rant, but you wouldn't use the "great person" label if he knowingly destroyed the water in your county.
  19. That's what I'm saying, I don't want them playing a guy at tackle who got kicked inside in college. Bills don't develop well enough to move players around like they do.
  20. God I hope not. I'd prefer not trying another guard with a lack of athleticism at tackle lol. I really dislike the "able to play multiple positions" aspect of Bills scouting, it almost always means they aren't great at any of them. Just get people that are above average at the positions they need them in.
  21. McD coached the worst scoring defense in Eagles history. He wasn't a scape goat, his unit was awful. The guy had one excellent year in Carolina and people act like he had all these years of success.
  22. If you look at any year outside of the Super Bowl run it's not flattering.
  23. Key role players? Also, GMs routinely restructure deals, look at what Miami has done in a worse position. This is a bit premature.
  24. I have to agree here. McDs record as a defense coordinator isn't very good. He had one very good year in Carolina where they were constantly playing from the front with a dominant offense. Prior to that it's all middle of the road and one year that was the worst scoring defense in Eagles history. I also don't see this list of DBs that he has developed that would warrant such trust that he can make any secondary work.
