Benford isn't a backup, he has been on the field more than not. Couldn't stop them when it counted to close out the game. It's one thing to sell out against the run, but they aren't defending the pass or run well right now.

Next year? Miami and the Jets are competing now. The Bills winning the division isn't a lock.

Hyde isn't coming back, so he shouldn't be part of the conversation. Elam gets torched all season, so I'm not sure how big of a loss he is today. Poyer is huge though. The white rehab is concerning considering all the praise the Bills training staff has gotten the last few years.

They can't stop the run and the offense under a guy who had never called plays before is having serious issues. That means NE is going to be tough, still have Miami again, and NYJ. I don't think they will get 100% healthy, almost no team ever is. If you are cool with competitive losses that's on you, but this is starting to mirror being a Yankees fan the last few years.

TBF when Edmunds was out they looked bad too and the middle of the field was wide open. The backup LBs just aren't that good.

THE ROCKPILE REVIEW - They Are Who We Thought They Were
Trogdor replied to Shaw66's topic in The Stadium Wall
They moved a team to an area with an already established fanbase. I lived in Southern Maryland and there was still a lot of Washington support. I'm actually surprised they have as many fans as they do outside of the city itself. -
Edmunds…back to back good games. Facts. (Update: Another good game)

On the outside in his natural habitat lol. I don't think Edmunds gets any credit for a dude who had to learn MLB on the fly in the NFL. They zoom out and he is covering from the line to gain in and sometimes 3/4 of the field. Sure he doesn't shed blocks well, but idk where they find someone else to cover a range like that. -

Who Do The Bills Sign At Cornerback?
Trogdor replied to Allen2D̶i̶g̶g̶s̶TBD's topic in The Stadium Wall
The DUI is probably the least of their concerns from that rampage. Bringing him on would show a real lack of awareness. -
According to Eastman that's how it started. They wrote it as the origins being the same event and some of the characters are parodies. After the container hits Matt it then strikes a bystander holding a fish tank of turtles. Eastman and Laird talked about how crazy the premise was, but it worked/works.

I just found out that it's supposed to be a Daredevil parody lol. The ooze is what blinds Murdock and Splinter is a twist on Stick.

A Few Thoughts About the Dolphins Game, in no particular order
Trogdor replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
I can't believe the cramps. I know it was hot and that stadium is a cheat code, but a lot of these dudes grew up playing down south and I've never seen anything like that. If I had to guess they didn't up their salt intake at all. That's on the training staff and not having them prepared for the heat. -

They don't blitz, so it's not a high priority. He holds up crossing lanes in the middle and covers well sideline to sideline. Honestly one of the things he does that I really like is that he plays the line to gain and up well. He also seems to be one of the few people who can go toe to toe with Henry even though he is more of a smother tackle guym -
NFL Week #2 - 9/19/22 Titans at Bills 1st half thread Gameday

I think the movement is enough in response. -
Another great example of someone who shouldn't be in the league. We have video of him physically abusing and breaking the property of his kids mother in front of the baby. Accusations are one thing, the proof for this one is out there for everyone. 4 games is a joke.

The Sabres would just run him down and out anyway. The difference in the two organizations is staggering. Not unlike the Knicks and Rangers.

Brian Flores suing NFL, NY Giants, Dolphins, Broncos.
Trogdor replied to BillsFan4's topic in The Stadium Wall
He really only needs to get to discovery. If Washington is any indicator, they don't want what could be there out. The NFL owners are insulated somewhat with the Comish and GMs, but every scandal you find out there is a lot of stuff going on. The Kap lawsuit did damage as well. -
McD was a mediocre DC before he got here. You really never know
-
Are people actively hoping he fails? Is this a thing now? I'm grateful for his part in making this team exciting. I hope he finds success, just not as much as the Bills. Seems there are a lot of bitter ex's here though.

Oliver isn't the problem in this scenario. He gets up the middle, but our ends, specifically the right side, are MIA. On the Mahomes TD run Hughes cut inside and got embarrassed on a pumpfake. Contain has been an issue in Buffalo for a long time now.

McDermott's first Offensive Coordinator hire back in 2017

It's going to be a rough spring for you. -
McDermott's first Offensive Coordinator hire back in 2017
Trogdor replied to Bag of Milk's topic in The Stadium Wall
There is nothing saying he is staying. Right now its probably 50/50. That would mean a brand new system and everything that goes with that. -

The offense has only really been successful for 2 years. It was going nowhere fast before that. I agree with you, I just think it's a much softer landing for him. If he failed here it would be a much bigger blemish. A Bills offense regressing as he figures it out is suicide. It's win now here. -

You don't think having your first coordinator position being under and offensive mind you trust isn't attractive? Less pressure to win immediately and provide time to actually learn isn't attractive? I think a more seasoned guy might want to come to Buffalo, but a new coordinator would be on an island. They built to air it out, but the HC wants balance, so that's something they will always have to contend with. I can see him picking the Giants over Bills.
