My problem is that people think Whaley had nothing to do with it, when his whole time here he found great pro personnel. His problem was drafting, but he could really dig out gems from other teams.

Poyer and Hyde are basically our only remaining quality adds, and those are both Whaley finds. The guy made his living in pro personnel.

I feel like you went full Kool-Aid right here. McCarron has basically no stats to back up anything right now and Bodine is one of the worst at the position. We also have no idea about the OC and his previous stints don't point to an upgrade. Nothing on offense looks better right now, and it will take some time to really assess it.

The change in schemes has been covered here many times. You can't compare the different eras and prove anything. The only thing we know is that in this era, QBs don't outperform their college accuracy.

I'm really hoping that we sign a QB coach or someone who has actually developed QBs. Daboll really doesn't have a record of doing that and I think it's essential to his development. A QB that does both well would be awesome for a change.

The ironic part being that many offenses operate on dink and dunk passes. We get beat by them every year, and they are a must have skill for an NFL QB. His junior year had a couple NFL quality players, which is impressive in that conference. His TD, INT, and yards were up quite a bit. It might be a better year to judge from.

Atmosphere is very important and there are numerous cases of players turning down big contracts to teams they don't like. The players love it and they talk about it all the time.

In just shared revenue alone, these teams make back all of their operating costs and then some. After you add in local revenue it's more than enough to cover the majority of stadium costs. Green Bay has to release it's numbers as a publicly owned franchise, so it's not hard to track this stuff.

Well, his 2015 and 2016 classes had a lot of good players. We just happened to give away a bunch of them.

Both were signed when he was still GM. To his credit, he was an amazing pro scout, he just couldn't draft for ****. It probably didn't help that we changed schemes every other year.

The guy who signed them no longer works for the team lol so it's like a nice send off gift from Whaley.

We finished 9-7 two other times during the drought and it took a lot of luck, so I'd hope we temper our joy before signing him to a longer deal. I know that I have a lot of hope in Mcd, but I'm waiting to see if they improve before passing judgement and to see that he can hire a good Offensive Coordinator. I'm still waiting on a Beane move to pan out though and it might take a few years to see if his draft was effective.
