The Milano sack in the 4th is partly because Edmunds dropped back and absolutely smothered the outlet. He bounced off Fournette, but he had the most tackles on the team and was pretty good in coverage. Being outrun by Perriman who had a full head of steam and having no cover over top was interesting. The bad PI call was a bigger impact than anything.

My argument is that they drafted him for the base defense and he fits perfectly there. However, he is going to struggle in the nickel because he is still trying to learn the position and that basically guarantees that a lineman will be free and on him each play. He looks great at some of it and is struggling with other parts. A better 1 technique probably fixes a lot of that and allows him to use his athleticism more.

Again, they took a guy who played strong and weak and determined he was a good fit for the MLB in a nickel because he is athletic enough in passing situations. 4 years is not a long time to learn MLB, especially not when you have to do it at speed like this. It really doesn't help that our linemen almost always get taken 1v1. They would be better off shifting him to strong and putting a natural MLB there instead. I think WLB would be better, but they paid Milano, so that's not going to happen.

FWIW, he was probably the only person on the team solo tackling Henry. I just think he is a better fit on the outside. You either have instincts for the middle or you don't, and he just doesn't.

It's not just him. We had the entire backfield go one way and the line go another. There is clearly a bigger problem on offense. I also don't see any of our RBs or even TEs picking up blitzes like they should. The whole team is playing poorly.

He was the most dominant DT in football before he was asked to drop back in coverage lol. He also had a pretty good run for the Jags. Our run defense has never been the same. Idk why they don't shift him outside and let his athleticism shine. He was graded out as an OLB by more than a few places for the draft.

Singletary has 2 more fumbles on 50 less carries. I wouldnt say Breida is having any more mental errors than the rest of the team. I can't really think of what else you might be pointing to though.

McD wasn't exactly a world beating coordinator either. He was gifted hall of fame talent as a secondary coach, but didn't last when promoted and was fired by Reid. He had 2 good years with the Panthers, but the rest they were towards the bottom of the league in points surrendered. There is serious myth building around him that his teams are disciplined and prepared, but that never actually seems to be the case.

He has 1 lost fumble this year. You're at a higher risk letting Allen run with it.

1 fumble. That's it. In a game where they got destroyed on defense (his specialty). If he had drafted him I bet he plays.

He doesn't take responsibility though. It's always we didn't perform and not that he didn't get then ready or have a good plan. When has he ever admitted that they don't even try to adjust? They aren't transformed, we had one great year, and it shows now. The first playoff year they performed as well as a few drought years and then an awful one after. Now we're back to a middle of the road team. Sustained success would be transformed, and clearly they aren't there yet.

He is the head coach and it all falls on him. That's his staff under performing. That's his rotating defensive line getting pushed around and eat a big chunk of the salary cap. That's his team unprepared and undisciplined. That's how being the boss works, he isn't a coordinator anymore. Also, did you forget the Colts?

They gave it to him on the wrong hash into the wind. Makeable goes to 50/50 or worse. they aren't disciplined or tough or prepared ever. I don't know why people think it's his coach that turned things around. Looking at it now we had a good run in a fluke year, but this is back to his prior years.

Hate to be that guy, but that is literally what he gets paid to do.

Their inability to scheme for teams with good edge pressure is a problem. They just don't adapt well.

You're acting like Breida is some scrub or a Rugby player with no NFL experience. If Jones didn't dress and they instantly became significantly worse on kick offs I'd believe it's him. Then sit Singletary, I don't care but they need to do something new. And for the love of God chip with a TE against these fast DEs.

I hate carrying these special teams guys in a position that clearly needs help. You can't tell me they can't find a gunner who can also see the field sometimes.

They aren't great, but they show more than what we have. Yeldon had a great game receiving and decent rushing and was never seen again. Williams was always falling forward, and Breida is the change of pace we desperately need. None of them is a singular answer, but why play Taiwan every week and take away the option. Moss is a better version than Singletary, but they are basically the same back.

Pretty sure he still wouldn't dress. Yeldon, Williams, and now Breida are just not given a chance. I'd even try some Wade right now because Taiwan is bringing nothing to the table that they can't replace. They seem pretty set on forcing their drafted guys up though.

Tbf Dawkins getting destroyed by speed rushers and them not even trying to chip for him is becoming a thing. It wasn't just the backups that struggled and the line as a whole hasn't been great all year.

TBF he had to limit his social media in Dallas because he was throwing hissy fits there too. Whenever he feels slighted he gets real defensive. He isn't slow to level accusations or insults either.

Idk about DT, but I think they assume the improved edge rush will improve the DBs. They won't have to stick with their man for as long.
