How is it at every stop it's the players? At some point you have to fit your offense to your team. -

Your point being? Allen can't even do that well right now. He has a long way to go. -

Sadly he is. Already over 130yds with pretty good completion %. The play calling is putrid though. -

Will he ever fire his friends? -
The number of blowout losses under McBean is astounding

9-7 with Mularkey too, and this season looks a lot like his second. Serviceable is being very generous. Very Tebow like stats without the 2pt conversions. -
2 Homey's From Bull's to Fill Bill's Roster Spot in 2019

Jackson looked like Peterman with those sideline routes. He eyes his receivers for a long time before he throws. Probably not going to make an impact at the next stage. Also, it might be just me, but he seems to be walking as though exhausted between each play. There is no pep in his step. -
I don't know why everyone keeps throwing this out there. Please go back and show me where he looked as awful as Allen in his first year. He averaged around 225yds per game and close to 60% completion. That was all in a different era of football that didn't favor the passing game. Also, can we stop using wins and losses as though this isn't a team game? You take away some garbage time GB stats and it's pretty clear that Allen isn't ready and isn't even close to Kelly's level. Hell, he isn't even on EJs level. EJ looked much better all season.

I sincerely don't get all of the negativity.....

Looking at available FAs for next season will tell you that there aren't any quality lineman. These guys don't just grow on trees and it will take some really surprising releases across the NFL to make this happen. They will probably draft defense heavy in a typical Bills move, but it's going to take a few years of high draft picks to fix that line and it's depth. This an old team, and holes are going to open because of age while they fill others. -

Or maybe some of us watch college football and realized he wasn't that good. He was completely shut down against quality opponents, and nothing has changed. When he misses, it isn't even close and there doesn't seem to be any improvement on his footwork. Add to that his tendency to roll to the sides instead of step up and you get poor play. -
Stick around for 4 years of Rex level mismanagement because the Whaley built roster snuck into the playoffs. Logan Thomas over Nick O'Leary is just one of the recent wtf moments in their personnel choices. It's an old team with no talent and possibly a wasted draft pick in what looked to be a stacked QB draft.
-
Some of the holds are still related to him shifting sideways instead of up into the pocket. He creates a lot of sacks by rolling right into pressure. It's a terrible trait that a lot of athletic QBs seem to have picked up.

Sad part is that it doesn't even get to last minute without him. -

Logan Thomas blows and Nick O'Leary got a TD today. Their evaluation of players is horrible. -
Bojorquez should be cut

Have you ever heard of a team developing a punter? This is like the Bills carrying two kickers. I guess they need to bring back NFL Europe to find some good Special Teams talent. TBF, at least one of those big returns was a missed tackle where the Bills player was right on top of him. It's not great that special teams is such a problem with so many special teams specialists on the roster. -
He doubled him in yards and had a passing TD. The completion percentage was bad for that game, but his mechanics and pre-snap are way ahead of Allen's. Arizona might be the only team with an Oline and WR Corp as void of talent as Buffalo. I think Darnold and Allen are pretty comparable at this point. They have a lot of the same weaknesses.

How often do "project" quarterbacks work out?
Trogdor replied to Klaista2k's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Even Kelly was a project. He had time to develop in another league and still sucked when he came here. The scheme probably hid a lot of his weaknesses. Wasn't he a QB converted to WR and then converted back? I was more worried about Moore when they played the Bills. -
Priority: Develop Allen or Win Ugly?

Yeah idk why I can't get Coleman and Foster straight. Maybe it's the speed and no hands aspect of their game. -

I meant moreso with the penalties. The new passer friendly league is allowing even rushing teams to pass for over 200 consistently. As far as the deep throws, I think he underthrew a couple to Coleman. I can't argue that this receiving Corp is absolutely terrible.
