Watkins, Woods, 6-100, 6-81. Benjamin, Jones, 2-19, 2-63

This is why the Bills are terrible. We didn't let our GM hire any coaches, but a rookie HC gets to hire a GM? It makes no sense. -
Shaq Lawson - Part of the problem, or a piece of the puzzle?

Hughes also loses contain all the time. Someone has to set the edge, so this is where we are stuck. This team is seriously lacking players who can do multiple things well. -
Was This the Worst Free Agency in Team History?

Kerley actually impressed me a little by being able to catch, not like our current crop. I really don't understand dropping him instead of someone else. -
Sporting News article - Are Bills in fact rudderless?
Trogdor replied to KOKO NFL's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I keep seeing this, but can you point to one solid FA next year for either line? A lot of the slim pickings are already getting resigned. You might be able to grab a couple guys on their way out for a year, but that's a stretch. The trenches will have to be fortified through the draft unfortunately. -

That was a theory, but looking at every single move since then it's hard to justify. Whaley was so great with FAs. -

For the umpteenth time, Poyer and Hyde were Whaley pick ups. The last decent pro personnel added to this team. -

Any chance you and Joe will stop stroking each other and post something substantial? Almost every post gets your "uninformed fan" treatment. Not everyone agrees with you two. -
Is Doug Marrone a better coach than Sean McDermott?
Trogdor replied to BringBackOrton's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not one decent pick up from Beane. All he does is add to the dead cap. I'm terrified of this regime with money. They can't evaluate at all. Since Whaley left, there hasn't been a single positive addition of pro personnel. Also, look at the FA pool. There are no good Olinemen to add. There was a post that got closed in the off-season that pointed this out perfectly. The first or second thing McD pointed out about every addition was their faith. It's clearly a high priority, but maybe we put too much stock in a guy that wasn't even a top 5 DC? The Pegulas royaled screwed this team by not allowing the GM to pick his coach. -
[Edited Title] Tremaine Edmunds looks Lost

It seems like most people skipped over the draft report. He is a big athletic linebacker best suited for OLB. He is not a great tackler and really relies on his size to bring people down. They are trying to fit a square peg into a round hole. -
Sadly, McDermott is the wrong guy to develop his own guys

Dareus was the most dominant DT in the NFL by the numbers before Rex. Outside of a QB, the one glaring need the year they drafted Sammy was a WR. It's poor hindsight when you don't consider the teams at that time. -

I can't agree with this. There are a lot of Bills draft picks performing in the league right now. The failure has been both sticking to a scheme and retaining players. How many talented guys were a casualty of the 4-3 to 3-4 to 4-3? Someone already pointed out that Bridgewater was actually cheaper than AJ. I would also say that the jury is still out on Derek Carr. He had a fantastic two year run, but hasn't looked as dominant lately. Hits and injuries will wear anyone down. -
Predict Josh Allen's stats vs LA.

Probably the most realistic guess so far with the sacks. -
What about KoolAid Drinking Karls? The D so far doesn't seem improved and the team is older. One off season is not nearly enough time to fix this Oline and Dline. That would require a draft loaded with starter ready talent in the late rounds and a good crop of free agents. We can tell already that FA isn't looking so hot. Can you think of an example of a successful rebuild where the young talent is traded and older role players are brought in? It feels like we've been watching this same debacle unfold for years in both the NHL and NFL.

I mean I'm laughing that Luck has amounted to nothing for them. They ran off a Hall of Famer for his heir apparent that has achieved nothing close to that level of success. That being said, the Bills need so many more drafts to build a contender that a lot of what talent they do have is going to age out. Teams don't purge everyone in a rebuild, they keep the young talent and trade off the aging vets. Buffalo has only gotten older and slower. Everyone keeps posting the 89 Cowboys crap without even referencing the Walker trade that made it possible. -

Except Kay Adams. I'll just watch a channel with her. -
The Silver Lining : Josh Allen is very good.

Just in case it makes a difference, I was agreeing with Kemp. Allen is not on the same level yet. -

When he did extend plays, he was very slow to identify targets. I don't think either of them can save this season. -

I'm guessing he didn't watch the game last night or on Sunday. -

Same goes for Peterman on the drops. This WR Corp is horrendous. I don't think anyone keeps us in the game when they can't catch or block, while the defense gives up super soft zone.
