  1. Have you followed his off-season at all? He retired, un-retired, and then went totally nuts.
  2. That winded excuse only makes sense if they didn't suck all game. From the start they have been getting destroyed.
  3. Nate is bad, the WRs are bad, both lines are terrible, the Secondary is getting torched, but you want to focus on just one guy? Nate earned the chance, and once again showed that he should never start, but he is far from the only reason for this ass whooping.
  4. The Sabres are a terrible example. A young arrogant GM was hired and immoderately dismantled the team, including all the of the prospects. That's what it looks like for the Bills right now.
  5. so far Kearly is the best WR on this team....let that sink in
  6. This team is just as disorganized as it was under Rex. The McD fans here have got to realize that eventually.
  7. KB is trash. He doesn't look for the ball, has stone hands, and is constantly pulling up on routes. It doesn't matter who we put at QB, they can't win with this team.
  8. That might be a small group, but that doesn't mean there isn't a huge drop-off between say the top 10 in each position and the rest. You can have 1 or 2 weak players on an otherwise stout offensive line and be ok, but you can't have one performer and the rest at 30th or lower in their position. It's pretty clear to see the drop off when your giant sized linemen get thrown around like kids.
  9. I'm not sure that the 2015 defense is the best example. The players would often talk about how Schwartz would just turn them loose, while Rex had them running a much more technical system. They had a team of studs up front that you just had to let do their thing, and then they hired a coach that needed to be the focus. This is a crazy take. Do you honestly think that there is just a little talent gap between the Bills and the Top 4? They have guys starting on the Oline that probably only play here.
  10. Not letting the GM hire the coach and grabbing guys like Jauron, Mularkey, Marrone, and Rex sure didn't help. I won't argue the need for continuity, I just don't think it will happen.
  11. I don't think there is a chance they get 5 if this team slips to 5 or less wins for the next 2 years. There is no salary cap excuse next year, and this roster is going to need a lot more than just a draft.
  12. Changing the scheme every other year might have had something to do with that.
  13. Our defense was weak last year and plagued by the same penalty issues from Rex. I really don't understand why everyone just jumped right to well coached. Mularkey went 9-7 too his first year. The "TYPE" of guys right now seem to be old RBs or slot receivers.
  14. If that's the case, he struck gold with those two and has been striking out since. I'm not really sure how you discount Whaley's history of grabbing these great players from the scrap heap.
  15. You mean the rookie head coach did it and not the GM with a history of picking up great pro players? I think that is wishful thinking. Especially when you consider the drop off in talent acquisition since he was fired.
  16. We have no idea if QB or MLB is set. MLB looks more promising at this point. The secondary is very thin, the RB's are old, and the WR group is terrible. Poyer and Hyde were the previous GM and Dawkins still has a lot to prove. Everyone is selling these possibilities as though they already happened. It might be that they work well together and we will see it in the next couple years, or this could be one of the worst Bills teams and we wasted our chance to get a good QB. Only time will tell, but the state of the team right now is terrible.
  17. Is there any actual evidence that they are working well together? If this team slips to 5 wins, what is different from when Mularkey was here? I keep seeing posts that talk about the stability now, but there are signs that it's the same dumpster fire as before.
  18. I'm not sure how this qualifies him as a good coach though. The same issues linger from Rex. I just really hope we don't get a Mularkey type slip into the second season. He only got two years with a 9-7 and then only 5 wins.
  19. This team still hasn't learned to adjust to other teams. Even when they were able to jump out to a lead, they couldn't keep the momentum going. The turnovers were great, but I think that they kind of covered up just how bad the defense was. They only beat 2 playoff teams last year, and one had to lose both WRs to make it happen. The playoffs were great, but this board is really going crazy over nothing. Mularkey and Marrone both got to 9-7, and I don't remember people jumping on the bandwagon this hard.
  20. Penalty issues, poor clock management, and a bad defense. I think McD has a long way to go until he can be considered good. This team got out coached a lot last year.
  21. Include his trades from last year. I think he needs a better scouting department, because almost none of those guys contributed. It's just frustrating to go from a stacked roster with terrible coaching to a terrible roster. I'm not even sure most of these guys get a look by other teams. I think DL for him hinges on Murphy and Star. They may have found KWs replacement. I don't think the CBs are better, and who was added to improve S? I'm not even ready to give coaching an improvement until the same sloppy Rex penalties get cleared up. Clock management, lack of control, and the inability to challenge are all still issues he is learning.
  22. I could never understand this with Sammy either. That guy dominated with the screen in college, and I think I saw it to him once. At least they touched them this time lol
  23. Guess you missed their second game where he bounced back up after hits. Guy smartly took his time with a concussion and you people act like he's made of glass. He was sacked at a very high rate in college behind one of the worst lines.
