Priority: Develop Allen or Win Ugly?

Yeah idk why I can't get Coleman and Foster straight. Maybe it's the speed and no hands aspect of their game. -
Priority: Develop Allen or Win Ugly?
Trogdor replied to Berky1010's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I meant moreso with the penalties. The new passer friendly league is allowing even rushing teams to pass for over 200 consistently. As far as the deep throws, I think he underthrew a couple to Coleman. I can't argue that this receiving Corp is absolutely terrible. -

You're also leaving out the total shift in the NFL since then. It was still a running league, but now with the new rules it's a bad game under 200yds throwing. We can't compare two eras of football, even if it seems like it wasn't that long ago. Speaking of, who thought our cannon armed QB would be so terrible at long throws? He isn't even close on the majority of them. That was his last year, but his junior year team was very talented. 5 NFL players from a team in that conference is basically stacked. His receivers also had one of the lowest drop rates in all of DIV I. -
Josh Allen is the piece just need players around him

That RB dropoff is steep, but I sure hope so. -

Minnesota has been nowhere near impressive this year. Actually one of the worst defenses so far. Tennessee has a much better D and held him to under 100yds. Might as well have grabbed Tebow if that's where we are setting the bar. This is an old team trying to act young and most of these guys will probably be gone soon. There is no win yesterday without Shady and Ivory, and there is a good chance they won't be here. -
In 20 years we top out at 9-7 three separate times. I see boomers losing their minds over 5 minute store waits, 20 years seems excessive for anybody. The Bills last won the division in 1995....think about how terrible that is.

Sean McDermott: "Culture Trumps Strategy" ?
Trogdor replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Beane didn't draft White or Dawkins and Johnson looks like maybe a CB3. Your argument seems to be based around "well they could be good in the future", so how can you possibly get to "pretty good" without any actual results? Why is it all of a sudden that people think a rookie head coach just up and ran the draft last year? Last year was a pretty typical Whaley draft. -

Resign Nick O'Leary since Logan Thomas can't get on the field healthy anyway. -

It's just really risky right now with what's available. They are going to need some big names to get released. There are quite a few spots that need to be addressed, and a lot of depth issues. -

Zay isn't good and Allen still needs time, so where do you get "a fairly good job" from? You basically disprove your own point. -

You're using a team that is notorious for preparing and scheming for everything. Their culture comes from this preparation and their strategy. It's a bad analogy. -
Bills vs. Packers All-22 Coaches Film Reviews

There are like 5 guys from his Junior year team that play in the NFL. That's stacked for that conference. He had more interceptions his junior year too, so it's possible that he does in fact trust his arm too much. -

Looking at next years FA class doesn't bode well for building the line that way. Good to great centers and tackles don't just become available. There simply aren't enough draft picks and quality available players to rebuild in one year. -

McDermott and Beane haven't had one quality pick up as a duo. I don't know how people can think that they guy who made so many great pro personnel pickups wasn't involved in those signings. Beane is getting credit for a team someone else built, like a coach who rides on the coattails of his predecessors recruiting class. -

Poyer and Hyde were both Whaley pickups. He was extremely good at finding guys like that. -

Just really bad. They are starting to look like that Bears win we had a couple years ago lol. That was supposed to be a strong division, but it's not shaping up that way this year. -

Even just looking at the roster is depressing. You would think that they would grab another DB for some security. -
This Year's Bears = Next Year's Bills?
Trogdor replied to jethro_tull's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Bears are 1-1 with their only win coming against 0-2 Seattle who look terrible. Rodgers came back to beat them on one leg. Trubisky has 2 tds 2ints and 2 fumbles. Something would have to seriously go wrong in the division for the Bears to make it. You might be right though, next year it's possible that the Bills fight to a competitive 3rd place in the division. -
In 2018 you can't take anything for granted lol.

Watkins, Woods, 6-100, 6-81. Benjamin, Jones, 2-19, 2-63
Trogdor replied to Foreigner's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I started questioning the decisions when they were touting their flat organization. We were always doomed to fail when the coach, GM, and president independently reported to the owner. I do actually hope McD turns it around, but as of right now to me, it looks like the mirage that was Malarkey's first season. -

Does he come with Schwartz lol because that would be amazing. -

I wish they would let their staff make more decisions. Marrone, Rex, and now Beane are all on them. It took them a while to pick someone with an actual background in the NHL, but the damage was done and the rebuild had to restart. -

I wasn't upset about Gilmore in the least bit, but sending Darby away hurt. Gilmore was sold as a press corner during the draft, but all I ever saw was 5yds off and a tackle after a completion. It was almost like the Poz of CBs.
