  1. Might as well drop Logan Thomas too since he is always banged up and hasn't made an impact. I was really hoping for more two tight end sets for this team.
  2. Beane didn't draft White or Dawkins and Johnson looks like maybe a CB3. Your argument seems to be based around "well they could be good in the future", so how can you possibly get to "pretty good" without any actual results? Why is it all of a sudden that people think a rookie head coach just up and ran the draft last year? Last year was a pretty typical Whaley draft.
  3. Resign Nick O'Leary since Logan Thomas can't get on the field healthy anyway.
  4. It's just really risky right now with what's available. They are going to need some big names to get released. There are quite a few spots that need to be addressed, and a lot of depth issues.
  5. Zay isn't good and Allen still needs time, so where do you get "a fairly good job" from? You basically disprove your own point.
  6. You're using a team that is notorious for preparing and scheming for everything. Their culture comes from this preparation and their strategy. It's a bad analogy.
  7. There are like 5 guys from his Junior year team that play in the NFL. That's stacked for that conference. He had more interceptions his junior year too, so it's possible that he does in fact trust his arm too much.
  8. Looking at next years FA class doesn't bode well for building the line that way. Good to great centers and tackles don't just become available. There simply aren't enough draft picks and quality available players to rebuild in one year.
  9. McDermott and Beane haven't had one quality pick up as a duo. I don't know how people can think that they guy who made so many great pro personnel pickups wasn't involved in those signings. Beane is getting credit for a team someone else built, like a coach who rides on the coattails of his predecessors recruiting class.
  10. Poyer and Hyde were both Whaley pickups. He was extremely good at finding guys like that.
  11. Just really bad. They are starting to look like that Bears win we had a couple years ago lol. That was supposed to be a strong division, but it's not shaping up that way this year.
  12. Even just looking at the roster is depressing. You would think that they would grab another DB for some security.
  13. Somebody pointed out the similarity to Major League during the Spring.
  14. The Bears are 1-1 with their only win coming against 0-2 Seattle who look terrible. Rodgers came back to beat them on one leg. Trubisky has 2 tds 2ints and 2 fumbles. Something would have to seriously go wrong in the division for the Bears to make it. You might be right though, next year it's possible that the Bills fight to a competitive 3rd place in the division.
  15. In 2018 you can't take anything for granted lol.
  16. I started questioning the decisions when they were touting their flat organization. We were always doomed to fail when the coach, GM, and president independently reported to the owner. I do actually hope McD turns it around, but as of right now to me, it looks like the mirage that was Malarkey's first season.
  17. Does he come with Schwartz lol because that would be amazing.
  18. I wish they would let their staff make more decisions. Marrone, Rex, and now Beane are all on them. It took them a while to pick someone with an actual background in the NHL, but the damage was done and the rebuild had to restart.
  19. I wasn't upset about Gilmore in the least bit, but sending Darby away hurt. Gilmore was sold as a press corner during the draft, but all I ever saw was 5yds off and a tackle after a completion. It was almost like the Poz of CBs.
  20. This is why the Bills are terrible. We didn't let our GM hire any coaches, but a rookie HC gets to hire a GM? It makes no sense.
  21. Hughes also loses contain all the time. Someone has to set the edge, so this is where we are stuck. This team is seriously lacking players who can do multiple things well.
  22. Kerley actually impressed me a little by being able to catch, not like our current crop. I really don't understand dropping him instead of someone else.
  23. I keep seeing this, but can you point to one solid FA next year for either line? A lot of the slim pickings are already getting resigned. You might be able to grab a couple guys on their way out for a year, but that's a stretch. The trenches will have to be fortified through the draft unfortunately.
  24. That was a theory, but looking at every single move since then it's hard to justify. Whaley was so great with FAs.
  25. For the umpteenth time, Poyer and Hyde were Whaley pick ups. The last decent pro personnel added to this team.
