  1. I totally admire your optimism in the face of what you experienced (saw?) yesterday!
  2. this one should be a classic as to which team does the most "Billsy" thing(s) to lose the game
  3. I think they win at least two more..the Q really is going to be where does the 9th win come from..the playoffs are simply out of reach unless somehow pods are placed under all the players beds this week (sci fi fans will get this one)
  4. the same seems to be true of the Sabres...both teams have some sort of draftitis malady where they pick B level talent and can't seem to spot that A+ talent..Eichel and Rheinardt are kind of comparable to Allen and Edmunds - they seem to do some really good things from time to time but none of the four ever really dominates the field or the rink. I am not as high on Allen as others - IMHO he simply can't see the field the way top level QBs do and those misfire passes are something to behold..my guess is he'll get next year and the Bills will be moving on to another QB in 2021 To quote a Bills/Sabres fan motto: There is always next year
  5. we need a good NOAA map with probability curves to aid us in handicapping the game
  6. there is a definitive loss of reading comprehension among the youth in our nation or the comment was meant to be sarcastic and the poster was just too darn clever for us to figure it out..I hope its the latter as I always like to get fooled (can you say masochist)
  7. the real key is the 3rd qtr..will the Bills go scoreless one more time..its their worst qtr
  8. The Bills linebackers are totally out of position-either overrunning the play or simply filling the wrong gap
  9. given how badly they got beat i am surprised they had this many players rated A or B..especially Wallace who seemed highly over matched out there
  10. this one will be a nail biter.... I think the Skins win a close one with Hauschka missing a 50 yarder at end of game for a sad and close loss at 16 skins 14 bills
  11. Any chance they can execute the Bills O coaches at half time
  12. Two of those equations have significant errrors - no wonder he/she didn't come close
  13. well I guess the next thing is for the Sabres to loose five in a row and Buffalo sports will back to normal
  14. I really hope Knox becomes our Witten (he just made a great catch)
  15. but would you trade either (actually allow them to take the job if they wanted it) for Trent Williams and a 2nd in next year's draft (I'd want a first but I doubt they would give that up)
  16. I don't think he's a bust but I do believe he will never be that superstar QB you need to win a Superbowl. Maybe with a "lights out" D he can do it but his inability to see the field limits the number of big plays he'll make when under pressure.
  17. totally agree with this take..he'll be a lot like Jeff George (if anyone can remember that far back) - he'll win some games in spectacular fashion and then a few will be lost due to both hero ball and he doesn't see the whole field (e.g. not recognizing where the safety was on that first interception). If the Bills can maintain a top 3 D they have a chance to make the playoffs each year under Allen but unless its a true "lights out" D the Superbowl will never be in reach.
  18. geez and I thought the Russian trolls were only posting on yahoo
  19. now we have them way way over confident..just one more Pat's score and the comeback will be on
  20. we've got them right where we want them..extremely overconfident
  21. if #3 that happens it certainly signals the apocalypse is near
  22. I agree Brady is really good at getting that ball out but if I could push back slightly I think (and its just a biased Bills' fan's opinion) the Bills' LBs , CBs and safeties are pretty good at coverage (even with the zone emphasis) so just maybe those easy 6-7 yard passes won't be there and pressure will end up being a key to stopping Brady. Watch the Bills' do a master full job at limiting the Pat's passing offense and James White/ Sony Michel goes on to have career days.
  23. Watch to see if Hughes is getting around the edge and then whether the holds are called or not...if Hughes can't pressure Brady then it will be a long day for the Bills. My expectations for the chance of a Bills' victory are low - regardless of the officiating the Pat's simply have the better coach and QB - the tenor of the officiating will only dictate if the game is close or allows for a Pat's blow-out of the Bills. You have to give it to Brady - that tweet about the officials calling too many penalties was masterful in terms of setting up the rest of the season.
  24. I live in Putriot's territory and they, like all of us fans, have blinders on. I pointed out to a friend (well he may not be anymore) that the Pat's run that pick play all the time and never get tagged by a penalty until way late in the game when it doesn't matter. His response was no they never run a pick play; well sure enough they got flagged (and the Steelers also) for a pick late in the game. He actually did acknowledge it after the game but of course used the "they did it too excuse." I give Belicheat credit for doing it as he knows it works and they won't get called most of the time but it sure would be nice if the officials then allowed it both ways. I guess that's the real frustrating part of watching the Pats as the penalties come at rather strange times (or should i say opportune for the Pats) and of course the officials even them out toward the end of the game so it looks balanced. They have a great coach and QB so they really don't need the help; just not a good situation for the NFL. You hit he nail on the head - whenever i talk to a Pat's fan 40 or over and ask how many games they attended when in Foxboro (and they weren't winning) the silence is deafening.
  25. well that should just about do it...geez just like the same old Bills..this team must be cursed
