  1. Thanks for the link and an easy to follow time line. He does move around! I admit that makes me curious. Everybody knows we need help on the OL and at WR. Most of us think in terms of adding talent in free agency and the draft. The Bills have added coaching talent with a new WR coach and a new Asst OL coach. I’ll be thrilled with any combination that leads to improved results.
  2. Emeril was the worst, with dozens of ingredients, many of which were obscure and nearly impossible to find. Didn’t he make enough money that selling toaster ovens is beneath him?
  3. When our oldest went to college we got him a cook book called A Man, A Can, And A Plan. Pretty doable stuff.
  4. The dollars don’t matter. What you order matters. But nice humble brag, there.
  5. Yes, because changing coordinators on both sides of the ball in the same offseason so often leads to Super Bowl victories. I mean, if I had a nickel for every time that happened……. The thing that impresses me the most on that resume is coaching LSU WR’s. I am NOT saying he had anything to do with developing any of them (though he WAS there with OBJ and Jarvis Landry), but that is one CRAZY WR factory at LSU! .
  6. What kind of foods are you into? OK with chicken? Fish? Love veggies? Are you OK with red meat? I’ve got some ideas. One of the reasons I stopped cooking was people got so damn picky! Our son married a vegetarian. Her parents will do chicken or fish, but not red meat. My niece will not do red meat, but chicken is fine, while fish, or “anything that swims in its own poop”, is off limits. I have a friend with a terrible egg allergy, so we have to be careful. My BIL and his wife went all-in vegan due to health issues. I’ve thrown my hands up. I’ll make what I want with enough for like minded people, do some simple veggies and let the wife go to Whole Foods to satisfy the picky. Cooking is mostly a matter of reading comprehension. I’m no chef, but I can read. Since I already put your wife in the same cooking basket as a 9 year old boy, I had to wonder how much more I could offend you or your bride. 😋
  7. Second, I’d buy her some spices. Third, learn to use them. We had our 9 year old grandson last weekend. He’s expressed an interest in learning how to cook, a bit of a hobby for me for a while. He can do better than microwaving his own hot dog. We do some simple recipes he loves that he could do himself with a little assistance. I hope I did not just compare your wife's cooking skills to the potential of a nine year old boy, because I think that’s what I just did. 😋
  8. To be reunited with the ST coach who blazed that path before him! 😋 It’s not a Coordinator, but we’ve had changes at safety coach, assistant OLine coach (Kromer not impressed? Scapegoat?), Senior Defensive Assistant (DC in waiting?) and who knows what else. We are not without coaching changes. Now, let’s hope it’s enough to make a difference. If the new WR coach can make a HUGE difference he’d be worthy of Organizational MVP consideration!
  9. Yep, you don’t wait until all the options are off the table to make a move. I wonder how much Al Holcomb as Senior Defensive Assistant will add. Is he the DC in waiting? I don’t know much about him, but he’s worked with McD and he’s been a DC before. Is this a transition year? Frazier is getting up there in years. He’ll be 64 next season. Not ancient, but you have to wonder….
  10. I don’t know where to find it, but did you see Josh’s stats before and after the elbow injury. If you recall, we KILLED it early! I am NOT blaming everything on that, but it was a striking difference. The offense needs to complement itself better. As I’ve heard others complain, it’s just a bunch of plays being called, with no identity. The pass should set up the run, and the run should set up the pass. OH, and why are screens and draws impossible? BUT, it’s OK to be a bit jealous of a first ballot HOF HC. They don’t come around that often, but at least we are about to see a couple retire.
  11. I had it all typed out, but apparently I still have a modest amount of self control. Bottom line: We don’t want to hear too much about what you hope. 😋
  12. Oh, that’s her? I think I may have a small misunderstanding that may be related to a restraining order. Safe travels, and tell her I’m truly sorry.
  13. This message board knows nothing of “cruel”. You own that for pointing out that you will be on a Caribbean cruise, and I will not. Have a blast! Drink a CocoLoco, get your hair braided and try to stay out of trouble! (For the most part.) Is there an emergency number if we need you???
  14. With the cap savings maybe we could fix the OL and get another WR. You may be on to something!
  15. And it gets younger every day. RIP
  16. I think both teams had possession in two different football games, and things happened. It ended badly for the Bills, hence a new thread. 🤷‍♂️
  17. We just got a new dishwasher. The one in the house we bought a year ago was a PITA. Our old house had a Bosch, and we went that route again. We never had any problems with it and got great performance. The new one is so quiet there is a soft red light that shines on the floor to warn you so you don’t open it while it’s running. It’s that hard to hear. Buy good stuff, get better results. Most things like TV’s I just consider disposable these days. As for warranties, I have a tale of warning. Not to say it’s a bad idea, but you should hear my experience just to consider the point. The previous house we bought had older AC units. We went back and forth, got the price down a bit, and ended up settling (despite knowing better) for a home warranty instead of getting the price down farther. Sure enough, a few months in the AC goes bad. They come out and patch it up and top it off, while we pay a $200 or $250 deductible. (See where this is going, yet?) A week later, we need them back. They top it off again, we pay again, and I see the error of my ways. They would top it off and collect the deductible until the end of time, but despite all the noise we made, we would NEVER get it properly repaired (it was beyond that) or Heaven forbid…..REPLACED. I think replacing both was $15-20k (excluded furnaces). There may be a place for warranties, but my experience made me feel like a sucker.
  18. It may be the internet, but there are some people on the internet who do much better than others. It’s “the others” some have an issue with. Believe me, I’m on other message boards where this repetitive and redundant personal gratification look-at-me threads simply do not exist. Seriously. I can be done. Because it’s on the internet does not mean it should be ruined (or at least harmed) by a small minority within the population.
  19. To be fair, it’s not just the safeties coach. They also brought in Al Holcomb as a “Senior Defensive Assistant”, for better or worse, and are replacing the WR coach. Is Holcomb able to add anything of value? Will our DB’s start a few large mother-may-I steps forward? Is he the DC in waiting? I honestly have no idea what he might add. He has been a DC before. I also don’t know what happened behind the scenes which Chad Hall at WR coach. Is that addition by subtraction? Again, I have no idea. Sometimes things that seem to be little at the time turn out to be more than what we realized in the moment. But it’s true that they seem to be mostly staying the course. A little help for Dorsey would make me feel better, but maybe improvements in personnel will help make it flow better. It just seems our in door is connected to Charlotte while our out door seems to lead to Jacksonville. https://thebuffalofanatics.com/buffalo-bills-hire-al-holcomb-as-senior-defensive-assistant/ EDIT: Looks like they moved on from an assistant OL coach, too. Not sure if he found a better gig or Kromer decided he just wasn’t good enough. He’d been there prior to Kromer (2019?) but no idea what happened behind the scenes. No BIG changes, but like the rest of the league, we ARE making some changes. I just hope it helps!!! .
  20. So, were we supposed to play without any DB’s? If you are really paying attention, you’d see this was an unfortunate byproduct of a bizarre rash of injuries in our defensive backfield. Exposing Hodgins to waivers was done out of necessity so we could field a complete team. Sometimes you just have to got with the least bad option. Oh, and Tre really wasn’t ready. Hopefully he’s back to his old form next year, because he was not the same guy out there. .
  21. But…..other than that…… 🤷‍♂️
  22. The guy who got run out of Philly because he can’t win the Big One. Maybe we should trade a 2nd and a 4th to KC to make him our new OC. Yeah, that sounds good! Let’s start a thread to make that happen!
  23. It was unusually cold that day for that time of the year, but my dad bought us overpriced sweatshirts in the Harvard bookstore to keep warm. I was young at the time, but I could tell that foot-ball thing was going to take off!
  24. Wait…..twelve hours ago you should have been sober, right? No judgement here! Is the party still going? Cause I just got my SkyMiles statement! 😋
  25. Why put maybe’s out there. The end.
