Are you too prissy to be outside? Does the weather bother you too? You do not get more stadium than you need unless you have other ways to use it. The Nashville stadium is fine, but that city is a world class attraction. I get it. The places with older stadiums don’t need any more than they have. They’re fine. This is a ridiculous conversation. We know almost NOTHING about the new stadium, yet some people just have to complain. Have a nice life, it must be tough.

Easy to say with someone else’s billion. You always have the option to vote with your feet. They won’t take it personally.

Don’t try to make it an age thing. I took my sons to WNY for Bills home games when they turned 16 as a rite of passage. My youngest son went last year for his 30th Bday as gift from his wife, and he’s gone many times in between. There are only a few over the top mega-stadiums, and they are all in huge markets. Go to Pittsburgh or Green Bay or Cincinnati or Cleveland or Baltimore or Jacksonville or KC or Tampa or Nashville (currently). Most places are just “fine”. A few are over the top. Nothing wrong with a fine stadium. Just WIN!

Your leaps in logic were almost disorienting! I said Buffalo is not LA or Vegas or Atlanta, some of the sites of the stadiums he compared to ours. Compared to most of the league, the new stadium will be a fine experience. And I’m older than you are. Maybe just a little less grumpy? 😋

So….. the season ticket holders who will already see much higher prices? That is not an answer that avoids more pain for others. My bad, I should never have gotten into the whole dome/no dome and who pays for it argument. (Forget where to put it!) Have fun with this. I’d have been happy anywhere in WNY. I don’t need a palace to make me love my team more, and you get what you pay for. My point was, I can’t tell much of anything from what I’ve seen so far. .

Well then kick in and pay for the upgrade! It’s that simple. Do you have an extra billion or so laying around? Should I assume the owner should foot this whole bill for you? Or do you want more from the taxpayers too? It’s always easy, when it’s not your money. WNY is not LA or Vegas or Atlanta, and we all know that. It’s easier if we just accept that reality. Oh, and I’ve got news for you, I prefer the Ralph to the Falcons stadium. Bills home games feel more like football games to me. .

Somebody else’s gold, I’m guessing. They will remain in WNY, the sinks can be sinks again, you might get a beer in a reasonable amount of time and it’s less likely to fall down. I hope the sight-lines can be as good as the Ralph, as we have been spoiled with great views from pretty much anywhere in the stadium. It’s been a good home to us for a long time, but nothing goes on forever. Time to upgrade, and I’m sure the replacement will be just fine. It will still get endless bashing from some who “know better”, but let’s wait and see what we are talking about first.

The Viking play on a very cool stadium…..that is a dome. I edited to remove that possible complaint to this particular question. We aren’t getting a dome. I can’t tell enough from those few renderings to form an opinion. I have to believe the amenities are a VAST improvement, but time will tell. We need more info IMO.
-
This is a legit question and not at all snarky: How can you tell anything from those renderings, and what exactly do you want? What needs to be improved, in your opinion, based on those few sketches? Those exterior renderings tell me next to nothing. I can’t even have an opinion without more knowledge. EDIT: Other than a dome, if that is your thing. Ain’t gonna happen. .

So, is that a maybe??? Cool!!!

Later got out on bail.

To be accurate, we all criticized you, but we kept it kinda quiet. 😋 I have no hard feelings if he moves on. These are decisions we make in life. We do what is best for us and our families. The red white and blue is not only uniform he’s played in, it’s just the most recent. I have no hard feelings if he goes to Miami. It didn’t change the way I felt about Thurman. Is it bad if I hope the Dolphins seriously overpay, and he’s not as available as they had hoped? EDIT: Pretend it’s not football, and YOUR team. What if this is an accountant or a nurse? Do you complain then? .

Sounds like this might be a personal favorite? 🤷♂️

Buffalo News will now be printed in Cleveland

How many versions did they run? I remember (I think?) seeing the morning paper available in the Aud leaving Braves games. I always thought that was odd. I think they ran more than once? I enjoyed a local morning paper back in the day, with a manageable crossword puzzle. Sadly, it seems they are just one more dinosaur from the pre-digital age. We have a new granddaughter, and I can’t imagine what she will see. -
Damn! When I recently turned 62 in my county in Georgia we no longer had to pay the school board part of property taxes. Our bill dropped by 2/3, and I’m not apologizing for it.
-
Forgive me, for I’m not really familiar with all this. Did I read you have to work as some type of “public servant” (that is a terrible term IMO, so please let me know if something else is more palatable) for a period of years? If that is the case, hell ya! You earned that!

The Myth of the Bills over-focusing on defense in the Draft and FA
Augie replied to folz's topic in The Stadium Wall
I’m not arguing or trying to make a point, but both 2nd round picks were later traded for a 5th. I found that interesting, and Zay had 82 catches last year which I found surprising. What happened in the Zay Jones saga can stay a mystery as far as I’m concerned, but I hope the young man is doing well in all regards. -
At what sports event did you have your worst experience?

I was a kid, maybe 5th grade. We had season tickets at the Rockpile under the (leaky) roof. It was a rainy day, so my dad had his friends with end-zone seats swap tickets, and there I was with my friend Andy in the end zone. On a rainy day. When they still allowed umbrellas in the seats ahead of you. The game against the Chiefs was almost impossible to see, but you knew when they kicked a FG or an extra point, because this was before the nets caught the balls. A free-for-all would ensue every time. The 2 sober 10 year olds had no hopes of getting a ball. Ever. We just hoped to survive! Then it was over, and we stopped at the restroom on the way out. Leaving the restroom a GIANT MAN (to a 10 year old) stole Andy’s souvenir program from under his arms. Just ripped it away with a “what are YOU going to do” look about him. And you know what? I smiled as I typed all that. That’s a very fond memory. 🤷♂️ -
What kind of play do you get the most satisfaction watching?

Ya just HAD to do it! -
One of the other dads at our kid’s school went into serious debt to get thru law school. By the time we got to be friends he was instead doing woodworking in his garage. And very happy about it. How is a kid supposed to know? You just hope you find the right fit for you one day.

I’m thinking @House should be a person of interest.

I was at a luncheon a while back and the speaker was from the economic development commission. He talked about trying to attract new businesses to the area, and the obstacles they faced. He said the companies they were trying to attract didn’t need more young people with college degrees, they needed welders and plumbers. You can make a fine living if you have mastered a trade.
