Cute, did your grandmother teach you that? Mine used to say stuff like that. It was DEPTH. Nobody has All-Pros at every position and OL talent across the entire league is generally lacking. Should that have seen Shell was on the edge of retirement? IDK, because I was not behind the scenes. Regardless, they will continue to make moves. People who think quality talent is just littered all around and we refuse to address it generally started with a bias. They can’t wait to say “LOOK! I told you so! They are incompetent!” The fact is, we are one of the best teams in the league. We need help at OT and MLB in particular, but fixing that not as easy as it sounds.

You might want to see somebody about that if it happens. My mother is 95, and unless they can improve the quality of life, I have no interest in lasting that long. BUT, we are growing our knowledge and capabilities at a rate that is almost alarming. Things keep advancing at an accelerating rate. I can’t even imagine what my grandkids will see, much less 50,000 years from now.

Losing Shell to retirement and Doyle to injury is just plain bad luck. Like the defensive backfield last year, you hate lose them at all, but especially all at one position.

Is that anything like “a Cleanse?”

I hope this serves as a wake up call and is part of us preparing for a solid season. Sometimes getting punched in the mouth can actually be a good thing. I am most worried about MLB, but OT depth has taken a blow in the last week. Something will be done, and I hope it is enough. I miss Edmunds already, but not to the tune of $18mil/year.

I’m afraid you’re going to have to spread this around some. I don’t see how we can declare a single winner/loser thread after one preseason game. Definitely some work to do, but I’m not going to overreact and panic, if that is allowed, of course.

Training Camp is to install systems, get better and improve timing and technical scheme issues. Preseason games are to get smiley face stickers for staying healthy. A bit of live speed is good, intentionally dangerous is silly.

I agree, and I wish people could have a few drinks in peace so we didn’t need them. Sadly, we are not that fortunate. Even worse, some of the people who get these jobs are just bullies who want some jollies. Not all, but a few.

This is part of Josh growing up and learning to be smart. I pray no designed QB runs, and he tosses the ball away before anybody gets in his zip code. I don’t mind a little “live action” before it really counts against the Jets. JUST BE SMART! Heroics are for playoffs.

We should nominate @HOUSE because he started this whole thing. Unfortunately, if we suggested him we would be asked to cover all travel and housing expenses, and in this case I feel more like go fund yourself! A line must be drawn!
