Scheffler just released a statement which, predictably, said all the right things. He said there was a misunderstanding as to what was expected of him. It concluded with thoughts to the family of the man who passed away after being struck by a shuttle bus. The mug shot and distraction will get all the attention, but somebody died here. Without seeing exactly what happened it’s hard to have a strong opinion, but it does sound like a simple case of miscommunication.

….and I couldn’t blame him.

Now you are hurting the public appeal. You could be hurting charities for all you know. I hope you can sleep tonight.

It can take longer than that from here. It’s Atlanta, after all. Seeing it and getting to it are very different. 😡 I’m around the Vinings, so not too bad if traffic doesn’t kill you.

I’m not arguing this because I don’t know the facts, but when my son was taking his driver classes and test in Florida he said you can change lanes on a left hand turn. NOT on a right hand turn, but on a left turn yes. I was mildly surprised, but he’s a smart young guy and he was sure that was the case at that time in Florida. I only mention it now because we in a small neighborhood at the bottom of that diagram with one small lane in and another going out. The cars coming south almost ALL turn right (like 90%+), it’s the major traffic pattern, especially busy during rush hour. I get a green light with left arrow pulling out, and they have right turn on red….but they just keep going and turn right like I’m not there, usually allowing me the one inside lane going left. The problem is, there are shops and restaurants in a small strip center in the top left corner I go to. THAT is what pisses me off when driving! I mean, other than just being in Atlanta in the first place….. …

It’s safe…no Peter Pan there. Most throw backs are horrible. These are in that category, IMO.

I think this should be counted as a home game for the Jags, and an away game for the Bills. It only seems fair after that crap in London. 😡

I’ll travel to the game in Atlanta. I can see the stadium on my way to the grocery store. Yes, I’m willing to make that kind of sacrifice.

Of course. People who know me are not surprised. UPDATE: I still don’t have a functional cable arrangement in the house, but a new box just arrived and we’ll give that a shot. We might have to go back to Spectrum for TV. We got rid of Spectrum years ago because IT didn’t work. Watching Commander Tom using rabbit ears might be my Rosebud moment.

I had a friend who said he’d never watch another NFL game after the strike or lockout they had in the 80’s. I fully assumed he was blowing smoke in disgust, but he never watched another game. If it weren’t for the Bills…..idk. 🤷‍♂️

We are the Bills, so I’d say a bad hammy and a dislocated finger as we go into the playoffs.

Sit? You are supposed to stand up all game in front of the cranky old folks, because they are checked for weapons before they are allowed inside. The worst they can do is pour a beer on you, and my bet is they can’t afford that form of justice. I used to be a seat snob, but after sitting in the upper deck a few times I don’t think there is a bad seat in the house. Let us hope the new place has the same quality views.

Being healthy at the right time is part of “luck.” We have not been lucky, but we are due.

While on vacation last week we drove past the church where my older sister (by 8 years) got married. I remember two things about that day. Fr Timlin basically asked “why bother?”, because everyone ends up divorced anyway. The other thing was my sister’s old college friend skinny dipping at the beach behind the Hilton Head Inn after the reception. I liked her spirit, among other things!

That’s a tough one in terms of cost, for sure. Both game tix and hotels. But you stand a better chance of decent weather, and it’s the 25th so depending upon what’s happening in my world I’ll probably give it a shot.

I try to do the home opener and one road game. I can’t pick a road game until I know when it is.

I agree times are changing, and the best athlete now wants to be QB or WR, not RB. But a guy who demands frequent double teams makes it easier for everyone else.

Good! All teams I’m happy to see playing on Christmas Day, and especially on a Wednesday! How do you work that in without really messing up your routine. Much worse than a Monday, and even worse than a Thursday Night Game. Once again, the NFL is more interested in the money than the integrity of the games or the welfare of the players. I’m a Bills fan, but less of an NFL fan as the years go by and they try to squeeze out every nickel.

If he wants to come, he can pay the StubHub fees just like I do. But I am curious….were we thinking an E-Invite or something more traditional with a classic font and an RSVP card. Don’t go cheap on the paper stock, we don’t want to make a bad first impression! I’m assuming a plus one would be expected, right?
