  1. Yeah, ‘cause that always helps. They are acting like he already DID light into them. That’s how that works in the real world.
  2. I am rapidly losing interest in the NFL.
  3. I was leaving the grocery store in my Bills hoody and I noticed a guy coaching his 3-4 year son. As we get close the little boy squeaks out a little “go bills”. Teach ‘em young!
  4. I’ve been burned by old info online in the past, so good for you to verify things. I can’t help you, but I hope you find a great option.
  5. So, she has no regerts? 😊 Very happy for both of you. Cancer sucks and we’re fighting that battle now with loved ones.
  6. Sorry, Schrödinger is not telling.
  7. I almost knocked Ralph over once when I was turning a corner and he was coming out of the men’s room at the Creekview in Williamsville. OOPS! His little PopeMobile almost ran me over at the stadium the next day. I think he was trying to get even. That is my brush with Football Fame.
  8. I think that may be his Dad. 🤷‍♂️
  9. I know OSU won, but I think more of PSU after seeing that game today. They will get another chance in the playoffs. Side note: My SIL recently took a surprise early retirement package from PSU after many years there. She loved it, but the package made too much sense for her. At one point she was in the major donor area and would know some stuff about Terry Pegula and his support of their hockey program. Not surprisingly, they like him. 😂
  10. I mentioned the French Laundry earlier, also a Thomas Keller creation. I’ve never been to anything quite like that, but I’m sure you can easily get into that price range with a deal like that. Maybe one day I’ll get to have that kind of experience. I have a friend who was invited to his neighbors 80th BDay party at a fancy restaurant in Sarasota. There were 20 guests, and the BDay boy’s son was filthy rich. He not only picked up the tab, but brought two bottles of wine born the same year as dad. Those 80 year old bottles of wine were $10,000 EACH! Everybody got a taste, and I’m told it was “fine”. That is just FU money right there.
  11. He added the question mark, don’t get greedy.
  12. It’s basically the same toys in the Happy Meal. 🤷‍♂️
  13. This is where Keon gets confused…..does he prefer the ambiance or the decor???
  14. For $450 you should get the kids and the wife. We are not strangers to fine dining, but the only way to get near $450 for the two of us would be with a lot of expensive wine unless you are going to the French Laundry or something. More time and better service, that’s real. One of the top restaurants in Atlanta happens to be my wife’s favorite place. The food is very good, but the service is noticeably superior to other dining experiences.
  15. There are a bunch of nice places in walking distance along Main St in Williamsville, many with live music. And it doesn’t seem to be any cheaper, in fact it’s more than many places downtown. You usually get what you pay for. Downtown is not the only option.
  16. That’s my go-to spot, but I’m just realizing it’s pretty pricey and the Hampton Inn is full. I should book my reservations now for the opening two weeks next year then cancel the road weekend. I’ll spend more as long as I’m getting more.
  17. I’ve lived on three golf courses, and I am familiar with the potential hazard. The people next door were part time residents and we went regularly check to see if their dining room window had been broken. Again. That same course has a PGA tournament and my wife’s cousin came to visit to see it. He got hit TWICE on the same day by PGA golfers. The first time was on the fly, then one bounced off the cart path and hit him. Imagine the damage the average hack could do! I was leaving for work one morning and a guy was using a club to try to retrieve his ball from under my car in FRONT of the house.
  18. Our last house in Florida was in a community that goes ALL OUT for Halloween. It was a country club community with 36 holes of golf. They would use all their golf carts, plus bring in a couple more trucks full of carts and that’s how people get around (it’s a big community). Many people also own their own carts. Hundreds of people all gathered for the best party in town! Nobody rings your doorbell. If you want visitors you set up a station in the driveway by the road. One station might have Snickers bars, and the next might be a taco station and Coronas with a live band in the driveway. The guy across the street was a retired engineer and converted his 3 car garage into a house of horrors with unbelievable production! It wasn’t just people in coffins trying to scare you with a BOO! They have what feels like a real elevator that seems to be falling from up high with a fast scrolling view ending with a THUMP! I have no idea how they did it. 🤷‍♂️ At a certain time the roads are deserted as everyone goes to the clubhouse for DJ’s and costume contests. When we moved in there someone mentioned how much we’d enjoy Halloween there, which seemed like an odd thing to say. After the first year, I got it. That was my kind of Halloween!
  19. I waited this long, and nobody showed up. Shades down, lights off.
  20. I agree. You’ve got to hold that tiny neck to keep the little noggin’ up with solid support. Especially near the goal line. That’s can slow you down.
  21. I don’t think that was very Jesuit of her. I went to Xavier Univ and many of my friends went to St X HS. One is still a coach there. They will not take kindly to this.
  22. The sign of a great coach, right? Always teaching! 😊 I wouldn’t mind if Josh were a little more careful with the ball in general, but so far this year it’s been much better.
  23. Happy BDay! I’m pretty sure he’s toasting himself at the moment! 🍷
  24. My wife thinks I’m strange because I have almost zero interest in candy or desserts. Halloween may be the reason for that. We didn’t get pieces of candy, we measured it more by the pound. We’d fill up pillow cases and garbage bags until they couldn’t hold any more, then stash them in the bushes and carry on with a fresh bag. We were surrounded by easy mark townhouses and even better, garden apartments. We’d ring all 8 doorbells and half of us would start upstairs and the other half down. It was an operation.
  25. Jets winning hurts the Texans AND the Jets, imo. I want them in limbo so they can’t quite get up high enough in the draft to replace the King of Darkness.
