That's a BRILLIANT idea, getting rid of your second best player on the team. You should become a GM. 🙄

Reich would be a great fit for OC with JA at the helm of the offense. BUT...... This is the more likely scenario.

Plus the rubber tires are great insulators. That said, being inside the car will reduce your risk but it can't totally prevent getting struck. It can still go through the window. While it sounds like i am nit picking, my point is; getting struck by lightning, and football are not unsimilar in that you can take all the precautions necessary, but it's still only going to reduce the risk. Never completely prevent the risk.

I agree. At the same time, as tragic as yesterday was, and I pray he has a full and speedy recovery, the bottom line is; football is a violent sport. And that will never change. Some of the rule changes that have been made recently have drastically impacted the results of the game because the rules are so subjective. I just don't see how they could change it this rule any further either without impacting the results of the game more than have already. Maybe it's time to go the way of the cartoon the Jetson's and have all the players be robots and then violent impacts won't matter. (and I'm being tongue and cheek a bit here)

I don't see how making any changes to the "strike zone" for clean hits would have changed the outcome of this tragedy. So, for that reason, I would have to say no to your question. However, as others have mentions; I think it's a real possibility that they may look at potential changes to the chest plate area for added protection and padding. Also, I know that the helmets have gone through some significant changes over the past few years, that have included some upgraded technology built into them. I could see some of that tech being looked at to be added to chest padding. I know that they have already done some of this with chest padding, but I think they might look into adding sensors that measure speed of impact, the amount of force placed on the body at impact. Stuff like that. Maybe they already do that, I looked but just couldn't find anything to confirm that. Just my 2 cents worth.

KC has the easiest remaining schedule so unless someone REALLY surprises them, they will for sure finish their season 14-3. That Cincy game scares me for Buffalo, playing in Cincy. They are playing some really great well rounded football right now and if i am being honest and realistic, that game could go either way. If we lose that game, it will end up being us and KC in KC... AGAIN for the AFC Championship and I REALLY want that to be a home game for us.

Not for nothing but isn't that what pretty much what every so called expert said about Tom "he makes me wanna puke" Brady? I'm not saying the guy is the next TB, in fact i would hope he isn't the next TB and partakes in cheating scandals and what not. But it is what was said about him.

Honestly, i think it's too early to tell. He for sure has some skills, he wouldn't have been drafted otherwise. I think the real question is.... "Is he good enough to carry the team when it's needed"? The 49ers roster is loaded, especially on defense, so he isn't exactly getting asked to do a lot of "heavy lifting". I do think he will benefit from being able to play now with such a strong team vs when they were struggling a few years ago. It will for sure help him grow and develop even more without taking to much of a beating. I can potentially see him turning out to be another Jimmy G though. The Patriots sold him as the bill of goods and while he is a serviceable QB as a off the bench QB, he turned out to be a for the most part a lower end QB that has major issues with staying heathy and finishing a season. For Brock Purdy's sake, i hope that he doesn't turn into another Jimmy G though.

I am just going to say it: If you truly believe that, then you clearly do not understand football, nor do you understand what he really brings to the table when he is on the field. opposing teams game plan against him. He is a difference making because he changes how an offense schemes its plays, making sure that if he isn't being double teamed, he is al least given a chip block by a second offensive linemen. He free's up the other members of the defense to allow them to make plays. THAT is why he is a difference maker player. And even when he is being double teamed or chip blocked by a secondary O-Linemen, he still makes plays at the end of the game. That is why he called a "closer" by professional analysts. I think maybe you should study the game a bit more so you can better understand it, or maybe listen more to the professional analysts that do and then watch and see what they mean before you run your mouth about something you don't understand.

Relax. He apologized on camera post game. He admitted his emotions got the better of him, and felt genuinely bad about pushing the guy. Ya'll need to stop acting like you don't let your emptions get the better of you and never act out in a manner that is not your best self. At least he owned up to it. Nobody's perfect. More than one NFL commentator mentioned that they were surprised that he acted in that way because he is considered one of the nicest guys in the NFL (not my words, theirs).

I have to agree. The Dolphins organization will have some explaining to do to the league. If nothing else, some serious fines need to be levied and their teams concussion protocol doctor needs to be fired\license revoked. Tua is a fierce competitor, something I respect deeply; as I am sure you and others here do as well. I also wish him well. I wouldn't even wish that type of injury on Tom Brady.

not to be rude..... BUT, this has to be one of the dumbest questions ever asked. The dude is an all pro NFL quarterback. There is no way we put more pressure on him as a community than he puts on himself to perform. That is just the way professional athletes are. They don't get to that level without laying a TON of pressure on themselves to be better.... to improve every day, every week, every year.

We know Araiza has the leg for the long punts and that's great. But, has he demonstrated that he also has the touch for pinning a team deep? I'm not sold on releasing Haack is a good thing. At least not yet.

You make a valid point, but it could go the other way just as easily if the offense struggles. It will all depend on how good Ken Dorsey is at managing the staff and how good he is at hearing other ideas and points of view. Based on what I do know of Ken Dorsey (admittingly not a ton), he's not an "ego" kind of guy, which tells me that he doesn't seem the type to not hear ideas from his staff and collaborate with those around him to make the offense be the best it can be.

The guy WANTS to be left alone, hence the NOT appearing in public for anything related to the Bills or football in general. He completed his tour of duty and walked away from the game. Maybe he has preferred focusing on his three kids and wife instead of meeting someone else's expectations on what they think he needs to do to stay in the public eye and the "good graces" of certain Bills Mafia members.

Of course they are. The "average" poster looks at how many college players to "evaluate" them???? A dozen, maybe two dozen if they are die hard fans and I think that number is being VERY generous. Not to mention, the "average" poster (myself included) may have an idea on what to look at to evaluate a player, but they haven't got a clue on the actual evaluation process. For example, I know that a quarterback needs to have great footwork especially when dropping back to pass; but I, and most fans couldn't tell you if the QB's footwork is good or bad. Yes I can tell if the QB isn't setting his feet at the point of the throw or if he's throwing off the balls of his feet, but to ask me to tell someone that the actual footwork to get to that point was good or bad.... I'd be staring at you like Homer Simpson would after a lobotomy. A professional scouting team looks at 3000 draft eligible players every year, and lets be honest; 90% of them are not elite players and I'd guess that of that 90%, 70% of them are bubble players, the other 30% good enough to have decent careers. That remaining 10% that are elite, are elite in TALENT and these scouts are experts at evaluating talent, not experts at guessing on how these young men will respond psychologically to the pressure of playing at the NFL level. I do agree that sometime they suffer from paralysis by analysis. Especially when it comes to the elite of the elite; those top 10 picks type talent, or those once in a generation type talents. For us non professionals.... most of us (or them) are just guessing based on gut feeling and a few TV sports news highlight reels. The pro's, they evaluate some of these guys for days.... weeks or even months evaluating each of the players skills, and their off the field character.

Or.... it could be that the 32 NFL teams front offices are better at evaluating talent than, say.... pretty much every member of this message board and every team message board that exists. 🤷‍♂️ just saying.

While having two weeks rest does give a distinct advantage, that's really not the issue. The issue is the added team to the playoffs which prevents the 2nd seed team from having a bye as well. Some VERY weak teams made it to the playoffs this year because of it.

All I know is that the run game on both sides of the ball regressed without both of these men. Is that a coincidence? Time will tell if they are both back next year. That said, as someone else pointed out, Carolina's run defense regressed when they lost Star when they thought he was replaceable.

This! I would also add if we can, a highly rated FA pickup at DE. Hopefully Star Lotulelei will be back to help plug up the middle like he did in 2019 and not opt out like he did for 2020. Personally, I would also like to see some better run blocking OL-men. Maybe it was scheme related this year but it seems that the 2019 season we ran the ball better. Of course, we also had McCoy then.

WTH are you talking about? Easier loss to take? They are professional competitors.... there is no such thing as an easy loss to take. As for fans, no loss is easy to take either, especially when you are talking about the conference championship game. 🙄 smh!
