  1. My point wasn’t that I wanted any of those guys. It was just, signing Hughes makes you less “needy” next year. You have 1 spot locked up instead of none.
  2. This is another one of those moves that raises the floor for the Bills. They did A LOT of that this year. I think of signing like Gore, Nsekhe, Long, Gaines, Kroft, etc... Hughes is a better player than those guys but the point is the Bills eliminated, a potentially, gaping hole next year. The Bills still have a need on the edge moving forward but have 1 starting edge here already (plus maybe Murphy). They can chase a star opposite him if they want (Clowney), a role player with upside (Beasley), a solid vet (Quinn), bring back their own (Lawson) or stand pat and wait for the draft. This move eliminates a need and desperation for the Bills. Great move!!
  3. I bet 1,2,5 on top in a variety of exactas, tri’s and super’s. I had the double but didn’t cash a ticket in the Preakness other than that. If the 5 won that photo I would have had the exacta for $5, tri for $1 and super for $.20. It would have made for a nice day.
  4. He won’t make it because the juice isn’t worth the squeeze. If you are ALWAYS going to be in trouble you better have Josh Gordon’s talent. No one is going to keep a 3rd QB around that is as likely to be in jail as he is to be on the field.
  5. Really?!? It’s funny that you say that because when I got back I was telling someone how it just wasn’t nearly as nice as the last time I stayed there. It just felt a little “trashier.” That makes sense now. Thank you for the advice!! I’ll steer clear in the future.
  6. Yeah, I was out there 3 days and only saw one. They were of the larger variety.
  7. Unfortunately the Bellagio pool is a little underwhelming in terms of talent. I was going to stay at Aria but the people I was going to meet were at Bellagio so it made some sense to stay there. Haven’t stayed at the Wynn but heard it’s nice. The Venetian is my favorite of the places that I’ve stayed at. We really do need to have a home base hotel for the game though because Bills fans spread over Vegas will minimize our impact.
  8. Ha ha, I guess it kind of is. I’d order a drink and slide $100 into a slot machine. It was gone before the drink got back (3 times). I’d have been better off at the pool where at least I could throw those on my expense report.
  9. I’m absolutely in for Vegas. I can’t wait to have another $41 double Tito’s and soda!! (Yes, that isn’t hyperbole, I paid $41.04 for that at the Bellagio pool last week).
  10. I think a lot of people here bet. I use Bovada pretty much daily and it’s fine. I prefer going to the sports book of course but Bovada is easier. There’s is a line on the Bills on there now at +500 to make the playoffs. Jumped on that at that price
  11. I don’t get all butthurt about Internet polls but think that the Bills secondary is elite. It’s one of the best in football.
  12. That’s fair, but he did a great job last year (although OBJ wasn’t in the room). I think that they’ll be 10-6 or 11-5. Their division isn’t very good at the moment. They should win at least 2 games vs. our division. I think that they win 3 vs. the NFC west. Their crossover games are against Titans and Broncos, should be wins. If they play .500 in their division that’s 10-6. That feels reasonable to me.
  13. I honestly think the change in management changed it all. Dorsey is legit. Additionally, they got the QB (which they have failed at for a generation). The Browns are going to be really good.
  14. If it makes you feel any better Ed Oliver was the 4th ranked recruit in the country. This isn’t some guy that over-achieved and got bumped up draft boards because he dominated lesser competition. He was an elite talent coming out of high school and a dominant player from the day he stepped on campus. There are ZERO concerns about that IMO. I’d be much more concerned if he was a 2-star that worked his way into a top 10 pick. Then I would wonder, “is he being bumped up because of his competition?” That’s not the case here.
  15. I’m glad that you started this thread @Codyny13. It just dawned on me the other day how incredibly active he’s been this offseason. He’s out that 99 jersey on more time since the season ended than when it was going on. He seems like a great young man and a guy that we are lucky to have.
  16. Ha ha, I have been!! He’s still leaving because he’s a beta but Zion and AD trade assets is a good start.
  17. I’ll be picking it up tomorrow
  18. This is such a sad day but in many ways a day to be proud. Ezra’s battle was an inspiration to everyone and the way that the Bills embraced he and his family unparalleled. We are different. This fan base, community and team are different. Pancho was a perfect example of that. This does not happen ANYWHERE else. There is one team and one fan base in all of sports that is like this. While it’s terrible to see such a young, decent man, succumb to cancer it is special the way that he was embraced. RIP Ezra and Viva Los Bills!!
  19. I asked in the other thread and still haven’t gotten an answer. Can someone please explain to me the advantage of a “blocking TE” as opposed to an extra tackle? No one is scared of Lee Smith in the passing game so he’s pretty much there to block. He’s not as good at blocking as an OT.
  20. I haven’t been paying attention to this thread but I’m subscribing to the theory that there are more dragons. If you watched the preview for this week Tyrion is at Dragonstone. He is looking out perplexed. Why else would he head there from the gates of King’s Landing? At the end you hear a dragon and see a surprised look on Euron’s face.
  21. Kind of my thoughts, he’s a solid player. He’s not a great pass rusher but he isn’t terrible. He is really good against the run. He’s going to get a contract similar to what Murphy got IMO. Well said
