  1. They were talking about it early on the pregame show today and used Cam as the example. He won an MVP at 59% and had the worst year of his career at 68%. It’s a totally worthless stat because so many factors count. Trent Edwards probably could have completed 75% but it would have been awful.
  2. Haven’t read the thread but I’m (gasp) with Jeremy White on this. I really don’t care (even a little) what Josh’s completion percentage is. 3rd downs, TD to Turnover (including rushing) and red zone efficiency is all that I care about. I’m happy with the progress of Josh. He looks like a guy and it’s been a generation since we could say that. He looks like the guy that we’ve been looking for and I couldn’t be happier.
  3. Oh no just to be clear the last 15 years or so have been TERRIBLE for the genre (excluding Kendrick Lamar). My point was just that I like guys that have SOME skill in both areas. Do you remember how bad Kobe was as a rapper or the countless rappers in the NBA celebrity game that made you cringe? My point was just I respect those other guys that don’t embarrass themselves in either. Dame is a bit of an exception because he’s a legit MVP candidate and pretty damn good as a lyricist (starts at the 2:45 mark and is over one of my favorite beats ever):
  4. I doubt it. AB was on the sidelines for his OU games last year. I don’t think that they are some strange distant cousins.
  5. Good guess!! They are pretty close.
  6. Kurt Warner and Romo played in the NFC
  7. Not sure that this has to do with anything but one of the signs Bama holds up on the sidelines is a Bills logo.
  8. Luck to me is tricky but appeared to be on his way to greatness despite the injuries. I guess that I look at it as if I was starting a franchise, knowing what we know now, in what order would I draft the QBs? To me, Flacco was clutch when he got to the playoffs but was rarely, if ever, the reason that his team got there. I did go back and forth on those 2 (in part because of career length) but I just think Luck was a better player.
  9. I agree and have always been a Flacco defender (at least until the last 2 or 3 years). He’s been underrated and tough in the playoffs. Even still his 15 game playoff career doesn’t put him on par with Rivers. Rivers is a HOF QB. Flacco is Nick Foles in a lot of ways (and I mean that as a compliment). He is a guy that rises in big moments. Rivers is historically great. He will retire top 5 in most, if not all, major categories. I know that we are in a passing era but that doesn’t take away from how effective he has been. If I’m ranking AFC QBs since 2000 it is: - Brady - Peyton - Ben - Rivers - Luck - Flacco - Carson Palmer - Gannon - Pennington - Alex Smith - Dalton - Schaub Obviously, there are some young guys now that will almost certainly break into that list. A couple year sample size though isn’t enough for me (which is also why Brees isn’t on my list).
  10. I think 5th best is an interesting question. Rivers is 8th all-time in yards, 6th all-time in TDs, 9th all-time in passer rating, 8th all-time in completions, and 10th all-time on completion percentage. He’s, without question, the 4th best AFC QB this century. There is not a debate to be made for anyone else. Flacco’s good run doesn’t overshadow Rivers’ decade and a half of dominance.
  11. You must be fun at parties!! It started organically as a group of people that banded together and wouldn’t be disrespected. It was immediately adopted by the players that represented the Bills (ie Nick Barnett). It turned into charitable endeavors from the most organized fan base in the United States and the envy of all other fan bases. It’s about unity and family. We can criticize and talk bad about our family but those on the outside best not say a word. It has become a powerful recruiting tool for a team and region that, at one time, had a hard time recruiting. The players love it, the fans embrace it and the opponents dread it (but respect it). When we go on the road we don’t go like other traveling fan bases do; we go to takeover. We party together. We tailgate together. We chant together and march into the stadium together. It’s a movement that all Bills fans should embrace because every other fan base wishes that they had what we do.
  12. Beasley instantly became one of my favorite non-Bills when I heard the first track. Every athlete is a “rapper” and every rapper is an “athlete.” I have a ton of respect for those that can actually cross-over. Beasley, 2 Chainz, Quavo, Marvin Bagley, Game, J Cole and Wale have all had success. The unquestioned GOAT though is Dame D.O.L.L.A.
  13. ...and on that note I’d argue Moss and Edelman we’re both legit 1’s although Edelman isn’t prototypical.
  14. Am I a horrible person because I want to take guesses?
  15. Totally agree!! In this era of “player safety” how do you allow a guy in the league that is on tape saying “kill the head and the body will die?” There is no place for him.
  16. As someone that firmly believes it’s our #1 need you need someone that can be open, and make plays, regardless of the matchup. The Bills have a bunch of skills that mesh. They don’t have someone that just wins because he’s better than the guy across from him. Additionally, a #1 bumps everyone else down a slot and creates easier matchups across the board. I don’t think that the Bills need another guy (like a Zay or even Brown) they need a guy that can take over games when needed. They need a guy that team’s scheme for and roll coverage too. If you put Julio Jones or Davante Adams or Michael Thomas (who we should have drafted) or OBJ or Nuke onto this team they are instantly a Super Bowl contender.
  17. It’s funny I was actually thinking this morning, “i wonder if the Giants would ever trade Evan Engram?” He is such a PERFECT fit for this Bills team.
  18. I hated Gregg-O from the day he was hired until ... He is a horrible person and an arrogant POS. There’s no place in the game for that scumbag and his antics.
  19. They are a total nuisance in LA. I shot one and I don’t even hunt.
  20. That’s kind of my thought. If you are rebuilding you build around your best young players (Tunsil, Howard, Fitzpatrick, etc...). Apparently Miami has no interest in keeping their young talented players. Of course this makes no sense but they did get a haul for Tunsil. I guess that they will try again.
  21. Anyone paying attention knows that this is Singletary’s job. They might ease him into it but it’s very, very, very, very obvious that, from draft day, their plan was to hand him the keys. Gore will rotate in and probably even start but this isn’t going to be a 50/50 split.
  22. I liked Oliver and Singletary.
  23. It’s so obvious who watched the game and who read the box score.
