Who is Your Favorite New Player to This Point ?
Kirby Jackson replied to T master's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
My favorite is Ed Oliver because I expect him to be the best. I wouldn’t even be a little surprised to see him in the Pro Bowl this year. Off the radar a little, I like Singletary because I pounded the table for him. It would be nice to be vindicated. l like Beasley too because he’s can rap. We’ve needed some swagger. -

Bills fans in Fairbanks?
Kirby Jackson replied to Kirby Jackson's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He’s 6 hours from there he said. I don’t know. There are a bunch of people here that I’d like to watch a game with (and have in some situations). I much prefer to watch with people that really know what’s going on vs. casual fans. My brother was a college QB, coach and really knows the Bills. He’s one of my favorite people to watch with too because he sees some things that I don’t. It gives me a more well-rounded sense for why the game or a play ended like it did. -
If we weren’t in the offseason I probably wouldn’t have taken up space here but it’s important to me. I have a friend and DIEHARD Bills fan that is moving to Fairbanks, Alaska as we speak. He knows the team well, travels to games, still has his seasons, hosts on the road and is close with the McCoys. His wife is a doctor in the military and that’s their new spot. Just hoping to find a few people that I can link him up with to watch games. This guy really knows his stuff and is one of my favorite people to watch with (even if we disagree on certain things). If anyone knows Bills fans that way either put it here or shoot me a PM.

Buffalo Bills: A potential breakout rookie in 2019
Kirby Jackson replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They lost me at “could push Milano.” Milano was having a Pro Bowl year in year 2. I like Joseph and think that he could find snaps but it’s not at the expense of Milano assuming he’s healthy.- 51 replies

Is Donovan McNabb Hall of Fame Worthy?
Kirby Jackson replied to Mike in Horseheads's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I go back-and-forth on this. He’s the kind of guy that if he got in no one would blink at. Once he was in he’d be one of the guys that future HOFers pointed to as a reason for their candidacy. -
Which of these do we need to retire first?
Kirby Jackson replied to Kirby Jackson's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ughh!!! They have different jobs!! If you are keeping McBeane I’m keeping Hallen which is a combination of Jerry Hughes and Josh Allen because apparently they do the same thing. One guy buys the groceries and one guy cooks the meal. -
Roll call for those betting over 6.5 wins

I don’t hate 13:1 on the division. That feels possible (not likely) but possible. 13:1 on that is a decent number. Anything over about 10 I would consider. -
Teams Wanting To Pick 1st in 2020.....
Kirby Jackson replied to Bill from NYC's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Have you seen a lot of Tua? His game doesn’t have a lot of (or really any) holes. Accurate, smart, experienced, athletic, with an elite pedigree doesn’t lead to a lot of questions for me. His size maybe is a concern but other than that he’s a big time prospect. He has a very, very, very high floor. -

I think that this is potentially a “new trend.” I don’t think it will be everywhere but we just saw the first team in 30 years to take QBs in round 1 back-to-back. The slotting is a huge reason why as are regime changes. I don’t think that we will see teams like Jacksonville staying married to a guy like Bortles for as long as they did. The leashes are getting shorter and now there is some precedent with a regime change. If Murray plays well it will further embolden teams. I bet we see this 3 or 4 more times (at least) in the next decade. -

It was 7 in Vegas and -115 for the over so I skipped it. I instead put my money on the Bills making the playoffs at +500 (which I love as a bet). I also made a small bet on the Bills to win the Super Bowl at +10000. I made those bets on Bovada. I actually am thinking of dropping another $100 on the playoff bet. Those feel like GREAT odds to me. -

Too close to call so we are going to officially retire both “Trust the Process” & “McBeane.” Thank you for your participation. -

My dad swears that Tua is as good pre-snap and with his play fakes as any QB he’s ever seen at this point. My dad is 68 and has watched A LOT of football. When he has a strong opinion on a guy he’s usually right. Tua is going to be a really, really good pro. He may never be great because he has some size limitations but reminds me so much of Russell Wilson (who I love). He’s smart, accurate, athletic and will be experienced when he enters the draft. It will be a MASSIVE surprise to me if Tua isn’t a really good NFL QB. His WR’s will be ridiculous. I’d trade our group of WRs for theirs yesterday. -
Some more Ed Oliver titbits

He just lives in the backfield -
Which trade do you prefer?
Kirby Jackson replied to IgotBILLStopay's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Tricky question but I think I’d even do it on a rental basis. I’d give up a late rounder 5-7, for a year of him. This holds especially true if the Kroft injury is bad. If he is a monster this year you can always tag him. If not, he helps the development of Allen and Knox. The Vikings are up against it and just drafted Irv Smith. Ideally, you could sign Rudolph to a reasonable extension but even if not, I’d still consider it. -

I mean, clearly I don’t care for the player. I also don’t fault him for working a job that pays him $645k despite him lacking the skills to perform that job. In a lot of ways that is what I admire most about Nate. Earn as much as you can until they cut you off. The American Dream -

I like the topic. I voted for Rudolph as it is a little more low key. He’s an average NFL TE but with the Kroft injury he raises the floor. Even if Kroft comes back in a reasonable amount of time he and Rudolph are okay. It will give Knox some time to develop. I might chase Clowney in FA but don’t want to give up the assets. -

I’ll say this for Gunner and Blokes, if you go back before the draft and read their thoughts on Peterman you’ll see it. Neither thought he was draftable and thought he was a horrendous prospect for all of the reasons mentioned. It turns out that the British guys were dead on. -
QB Rankings Thought Exercise
Kirby Jackson replied to whatdrought's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Great topic!! Off the top of my head, Wentz, Goff, Foles and Cousins too high and Allen, Darnold, Stafford and Newton too low. It’s tough to rank guys like Brady and Brees because today, they’d be right near the top. Long-term would you rather have Brees or Ryan (and his massive salary)? It depends I guess. In 4 years, it might be Ryan but is that worth the short-term? I don’t know the answer. This is is a really fun exercise though. -

It doesn’t bother me. In fact I’d LOVE if he started a game against the Bills. I just don’t think it’s fair to guys like EJ or AJ or other players of that caliber. It’s less fair to guys that have never gotten a chance. When people are like, “I’m happy for the guy” I think it’s kind of bs. To me, he’s taking something from someone more deserving, that’s all. He’s had his chance and failed. A lot of scrub QBs have done the same (albeit no one has failed as poorly as him) and never gotten another chance. He just keeps getting them. -

Kirby Jackson replied to Kirby Jackson's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
How much more do we need to see?!? Why does he get the chances that he gets? Did Brohm get that many chances? Did Gibran Hamadan? Drew Willy? Peterman’s QB rating would be higher if he spiked every pass he’s attempted. He doesn’t DESERVE another chance. In fact, I’d argue that he is the LEAST deserving player on any team’s 90 man roster. You can’t be the worst of all-time and continue to get gifted chances. It’s a production business and he’s been given WAY more of an opportunity than he has earned because he’s a nice guy. It’s not a surprise that people like EJ spoke out on this. EJ was a bad QB. EJ looks like Tom Brady compared to NP. Peterman is stealing a pay check from someone more deserving. -

I’d be happy to double my bet from last year. $50 says he isn’t on an active roster week 1. -

No he won’t. He is an awful football player. He’s statistically the worst to ever play in the league. Not bad, he’s the worst ever. He’s not Thad Lewis, or Brian Brohm or EJ, or JP or Trent, he’s the worst of all-time. No one is handing him a job.
