Can't wait to watch this! Got part 1 DVR'd. In an attempt to distract myself from politics, I made a conscious decision to watch more football, and less news this fall...depressing, huh? But, this looks great...

I said to my buddy as we were watching this game..."you know, as miserable as this game is, if they end up winning 10-9 we will be one of the high-lights of the season". As ineffective as our offense was, it is important to note, the Carolina defense is pretty damn good too! It was a real nail-biter...if only they coulda' pulled it out on that last drive! Yes, that was bad...but I don't think Jauron would have called for that...

I thought he was great...averaged 50 yards a punt, with a 45 yard net, on 6 punts. I have to believe, perhaps, he is dinged up...it wouldn't make a lot of sense to dump him too...unless they are afraid they will have a hard time re-signing at a later date!

I'm a Tyrod supporter, but even I agree, that was a terrible throw. If Tyrod is only going to pull the trigger on a pass when the receiver is open, he has to at least be accurate with it. He wasn't on that play...anybody blaming Jones on that one doesn't know what the hell they are watching.

Not ready to call him "McDumbass" just yet (I'll reserve that for whoever decided Tolbert was an adequate backup, or whoever pulled the trigger on the Watkins trade), but not calling a timeout on that last drive, and the handling of the timeclock at the end of the first half (as you mention) are concerning. How is it that so many NFL head-coaches have such obvious difficulty managing the clock in these situations? It is maddening.

A pair of tickets, from a scalper outside the venue, to see Keith Richards, at the Paramount in NYC. Paid $350 for 2 tickets...the scalper did a slight of hand "bait and switch" and gave me two (expired) tickets for the Virginia Slims tennis tournament at Madison Square Garden. I was, needless to say, so pissed!

I had Winston and Jay Cutler, so I was in a jam week 1. I had to chose between Bradford or Alex Smith. I cut Cutler and went with Bradford...a move I had been contemplating anyways...as it turns out I would have been good either way. So now, this week, what do I do? Do I start Jamies, at home, vs the Bears? Or, do I go with the "hot hand" and stick with Bradford at Pittsburgh? I am really high on the Bucs this year (have DeSean Jackson and Doug Martin as well), but Bradford looked fantastic on Monday! What a quandary...

I think I would go with TY Hilton, especially if Brissett starts for the Colts. He may not be great, but he can sling it. I think there is more upside potential there, than Blount facing that tough Chiefs defense, at Arrowhead.

And, his Sopranos death will likely go down as one of the most gruesome ever...getting his head popped open by an SUV

On top of that, he is a "total choad"...

Except, if you listen to McDermott in the PC, he wasn't asked about Dareus specifically...he was the first player the coach mentioned in praising the effort of his defense. I suppose, that could be part of some ongoing attempt to get Marcell to buy in, but he went to some lengths to praise his performance.

It always feels good to win, but lets wait a few more weeks before we make definitive statements. The only definitive conclusion I can come to, this is a much better level of coaching than we had under the Ryan clowns. I am still not 100% sure that we are a more talented team...I want to see a little more. The first 7 games of the season are pretty tough...

While I will agree, I would like to see our WR more involved in the passing game, I thought Tyrod was fantastic yesterday. He did all the things fans have been crying for him to do, over the last two years. He used the middle of the field, bought time in the pocket with his feet, and he took off when he had to, as opposed to the first sign of pressure. I know, the numbers don't blow people away, but I would rank that as one of Tyrods' 3 best games in a Bills uniform...

Really? I though Alexander looked really good the first two pre-season games. I agree with this...he hasn't impressed me at all. Clay has produced when he has been given the chance...his reputation for sucking, amongst the fan base is really overstated.
