  1. Though I don't agree at all with your argument over the difference between LeBron and MJ, I do agree with your overall assessment. Jordan is #1. I think LeBron is pretty close behind.
  2. Ok...but I think you the one with a short memory...you've taken me to task for things I never said before...not even that long ago.
  3. Just as reasoned an argument as burying your head up your ass.
  4. Some got the bonus, and then were informed they were laid off... "and now you know the rest of the story"! https://www.indystar.com/story/money/2018/01/02/t-touting-bonuses-and-investment-fueled/992690001/
  5. I agree that they were questionable calls, given how badly these same situations have been ruled in other games, just this season...but if you step back, I think all three rulings were legit.
  6. Where did I say you scoffed at the idea of Trump being president? You were implying (I thought) that Wifrey couldn't/wouldn't have a chance, because they (Democrats) hadn't learned their lesson. I was warning, people on the left (myself included) scoffed at the notion of Trump being president...we were sure it would never, could never happen...and then it did. Didn't mean to imply that you have been anything other than a loyal Trump fanatic since day one.
  7. I guess you will find out soon, huh?
  8. You are sounding a lot like the people who scoffed at the notion of Trump being president. Just keep in mind though, if Democrats come out an vote, Republicans won't have a chance. The Trump presidency may have woken a sleeping bear. The mid-terms will tell a lot.
  9. Funny seeing Trump idiots shooting down this notion...
  10. Who cares what Rod Watson has to say?
  11. I think the fact that all games are on tv in local markets now, does not help the Bills attendance any. The cost of going to a game, coupled with the product on the field (for the last decade and a half), and less than great weather can't help.
  12. I must confess, I haven't seen a ton of the Raptors this season...the east is always a little tougher to get a gauge on. There is always whatever team LeBron is on, and one or two other teams, and then not much else, as of late.
  13. The denials of the cluster-f**K we are in, are getting weaker and weaker...
  14. Congrats to anyone who won it all!
  15. Celtics looked great against the Cavs last night...but we all know, it doesn't mean a thing until the playoffs start.
  16. Trump is human garbage, and he has successfully made normally, somewhat intelligent people, look like total fools for continuing to support him. I guess that is what he set out to do? It's a gas gas gas
  17. A couple of years ago, there were two guys in our league that were "colluding"...making ridiculous one-sided deals once one of them was eliminated from contention, making really head-scratching line-up moves. I think they thought nobody would really notice. I felt bad, because one of the guys was somebody I invited into the league...he was a brother of another league member who passed away. He seemed like a great guy...when somebody else dropped out at the last minute, he invited this other friend to join. We accepted them on good faith. When they were "confronted" by some other league members about their shady behavior, one of them get really defensive, and started sending nasty, crude messages to everyone...it was pretty bad. He would change his team name every week, making the names insults to other league members, and adding different, graphic logos. He accused me of "cheating" for using my roster move one week, to snatch a QB that my opponent would have most likely grabbed, as his full time starter got hurt. I saw it as smart strategy, within the rules...he said it was cheating. Back in those days, having never had an issue like that, our league was a little more lax about some things. Then, to top it off, I don't think either ever paid their dues...it was not a fun season. Much better now! Our only issue since has been people not bothering to set their lineups. One guy this year, had Trevor Simian as his starting QB for most of the season, even though he had been benched for weeks...not filling in roster spaces when his starters were on bye weeks..it is irritating, because, even if that person has lost interest, them, essentially, making their games a "gimmie" to all their opponents, affects playoff positioning. I really enjoy playing, and put a good amount of time into it (probably too much), I just can't fathom why people would pay $100+ to play, and then not participate. I am definitely going to propose that their be some sort of financial incentive be set up in our league to give people some incentive to not finish in last place.
  18. I thought was the worst season/half season yet...killing off characters just doesn't have much impact if they don't make you really care about any of them...
  19. I know...it sounds silly, but getting bounced from the playoffs really hurt for me too. Yesterday, I found myself scanning the waiver wires for this weeks' match-up...but there isn't one! Also, just kicking myself...I went really big in on the Bucs this year, I really thought they were going to be one of the elite teams in the league...my whole plan going into the draft was to take Winston, because I knew he would be completely under-valued in our league, and I expected a huge year out of him...so I start him the first 6 or 7 weeks of the season, and he produced, until he got hurt...in that time, I picked up Philip Rivers, and he was fantastic..but I had this sneaking hunch that he was due for a sub-par game....I resisted the urge to go back to Winston this week, though the idea of him having a big game on MNF in a divisional game did cross my mind...so I don't go with "my guy" and he puts up a 31 point night, and I go with Rivers, who gets me 9...get knocked out by 18 points....if only, if only, if only....
  20. Ouch...sorry Jay! Freeman had a huge night...
  21. Maybe he will move them to San Diego!
  22. Michael Jordan would make some sense. I know he hasn't been very successful as an NBA owner, but I have no doubt the NFL would love to have him. Not sure if his interest is real (or just assumed), but it would be a huge get for the NFL.
  23. Good luck KD. After a great stretch of games (I think I was averaging over 150 points the last 6 weeks), everything that could go wrong for me, pretty much went wrong this weekend... I am currently up by 2.5 points, but my opponent has Mike Evans going into tonights' MNF game. For me, Rivers and Keenan Allen were pretty much down shut down on Saturday night...I figured there was a chance they would be slowed down, but not shut down. Rivers only got me 9 points....I really thought he was a 20pt minimum guy this week. On Sunday, Anotonio Brown gets knocked out of the game early...and then, for my Flex I had to choose between Devin Funchess (2.90 points), Nelson Agholar (18.50 points) and Marquise Goodwin (27 points). Foolishly, as it turns out, I picked Funchess... To top it off, my opponent, who I think has the best team in our league, didn't have a great week either. He had Hunt go off for 44 points, and Kamara bout 20...but the rest of his guys (Russell Wilson, Baldwin) were shut down...this should have been an easy win for me... what a bummer... I really thought I had a great chance to win the whole thing! So, unless Mike Evans is a scratch tonight, I am most certainly done for the year. Oh well, it was a really fun season...now just time to pay up, and "get 'em next year"
  24. We think alike! I went with CJ Anderson...no TD, but 158 yards rushing was good for 20.8 points! With my subpar RBs, I'm relieved to get anything over 9 with any of them. Got my fingers crossed that Jamal Williams can stay hot another 2 weeks!
  25. Anyone care to make a recommendation at Running Back: Jamal Williams (Packers) @Carolina CJ Anderson (Broncos) @Colts (Thursday Night) Mike Davis (Seahawks) vs LA Rams Joe Mixon (Bengals) @Vikings Doug Martin (Buccaneers) vs Falcons (Monday Night) Payton Barber (Buccaneers) vs Falcons (Monday Night) I am starting Jamal Williams, despite the tough match-up, because, for better or worse, he has been the best of my running backs, in recent weeks. It's tough, because Davis and Mixon both have injury concerns...neither has been ruled out for Sunday, but could be game-time decisions.... Also, defense/ST decision: Seahawks vs LA Rams or Vikings vs Bengals The Vikings may seem like the "no brainer" pick, but I have stuck with the Seahawks defense all year, and they have been solid, when not spectacular...except for last week against the Jaguars, when they only got me 1 point. Any input is appreciated!
